Spring is arriving and that means it is time to hit the trails. With that being said getting a flat tire is one of the most common mechanicals we may encounter and many of us may need a quick refresher. Check out our most recent blog post for step by step instructions on how to fix a flat and what to carry with you. As we roll into fall we're teaming up with BackyardBend to offer exclusive "Digital Deals" to keep you outfitted with the latest gear and your bike riding in peak condition.

Specialized has been a pioneer in the cycling scene for decades. It's now one of the largest bicycle brands in the world, producing a vast range of bikes, helmets, shoes, clothing and accessories for all cycling disciplines internationally. Electra cruisers are hands-down one of the best recreational bikes on the market.
Central Oregon is world-renowned for our extensive network of amazing mountain bike trails, many that take off right from town! Whether you're a new resident, a local new to mountain biking, or just visiting for the weekend, there are a variety of fantastic mountain biking trails to enjoy when you visit Bend or Redmond.
Road bike riding in Central Oregon is amazing: with our back country roads, amazing views, and crystal clear air, it's hard to go wrong. Most of the roads around Bend, Redmond and greater Central Oregon are well paved with a chip seal coating. If you're looking for more road bicycling routes, feel free to stop by any of our stores and our team is happy to help guide you in the right direction.
E-bikes are an exciting new way to enjoy riding off-road and there are a ton of gravel roads around Central Oregon where you can safely enjoy your eBike. None of these routes interact with the non-motorized, single track trails that are off limits to e-bikes of all types per the U.S. Forest Service rules.
Riding around Central Oregon is a blast. From any of our stores, you can roll the Old Mill District to downtown Bend as well as around Redmond. These routes are family-friendly and include dirt as well as paved paths. We do our best to describe each route but it everything will depend on the riders age and skill level.

Purchased a giant revolt advanced one gravel bike back in August and recently took it in for a tune-up. The shop had me in and out in less than 24 hours and we're able to even help me find some tires to enhance my ride experience. Great LBS and service!

I went in and chatted with Chris for a bit - he is extremely friendly and clearly knowledgeable about the products and brands. I gave him an idea of what I was looking for. He showed me two bikes and walked me through the differences. He did not try to upsell me. I picked a bike and some accessories, he installed the accessories and helped me load my bike into my truck. Great experience.

Rented a bike from Hutch's Eastside (I'm from Ohio) for the Ride the Rim event at Crater Lake National Park. Unfortunately the park service cancelled the event (fire) so I had to cancel my 4 day rental. I rented from Hutch's before so I knew they have great road bikes at a good price, but I never have had to cancel before. I sent Eastside an email letting them know and could I cancel my rental. They answered my email and a full refund was credited to my account within days. I've had some problems' with other shops in the past (I travel a lot, usually rent, tired of flying with my bike) Thank you

Being a small business owner myself I don't like leaving poor reviews. But being made feel like I'm less of a person because I'm not buying a 4k mountain bike for my sons birthday 13tn birthday is put me in a really bad mood. After waiting 10 min I asked a girl a lot the counter if I was allowed to pull a bike off the rack because we were tired of waiting. Then she must have grabbed some. We were helped shortly after. But I asked him the same thing then he stopped me and said wait what are you looking for. I said a bike for my son. He is tall for his age and he says this is too small. Then proceeded

I've been visiting Hutch's locations in Central Oregon throughout my life! The BMX bike we got from the Bend location in the mid 80's is still doing fine. The Cannonade I bought at the Klamath location in 2010 is still my go-to ride. My oldest son's Specialized kids bike is being passed along in the family and still doing great. I spent hours in their shops in Bend waiting for flat repairs and other work on my dad's bike as a kid.

I LOVE that they continue to do a free yearly tune up for each bike purchased at any Hutch's location (Bend, Redmond, or Klamath) and

I cannot say enough good things about the amazing staff here at Hutch's Bicycles. I have epilepsy, so when I don't have to drive a car, I prefer alternative methods. I bought my new bicycle from HB several months ago. The experience was super easy because of the kind and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I had tons of stupid questions, and they answered them all as if they were the most profound and thoughtful questions that a consumer could ask. From time to time I've come into the store to have them check on my bike. Little maintenance stuff, really. And every time they are excited

I just wanted to say thanks for making it as easy as you could for me to help my 8 year old buy a mountain bike today!
After a way too strict protocol for buying bike tubes at another local bike shop, Hutch's and the ladies there made it "normal" to the best of their ability to purchase my son's bike. Life is so incredibly weird right now and every business is taking different precautions and it is so hard to figure out how to navigate it all. The ladies here came out to meet me, were incredibly friendly and made human interaction what it should be, delightful!

Took in a MTB I recently purchased. The mechanic working on it, Mitch, is an expert! Not only was he very friendly and helpful in answering all of my questions (I'm fairly new to mountain biking and he helped me become familiar with many of the bike parts and their functions) but he made this bike feel brand new! I never thought it could work this well. The shifters are snappy and responsive where they were sticky and malfunctioning before. The brakes are dialed and my rims are straight, the bike even came back cleaner than it went in. Ill defiantly be back because of Mitch! He knows his stuff

Fast friendly service with everything you need for biking. Entire shop was clean and organized with tons of different bikes. Accessories and techs were available for repairs, plus it's open Sundays. They also have a great website and offer bike rentals. Prices were fair. Overall great locally owned bike shop.

My son’s Specialized mountain bike dropper post cable broke as we were loading up for a ride while visiting Bend for a few days. Hutch’s fixed it while we waited and we had an awesome ride. The great service and quick turn around was very much appreciated!

After purchasing the diverge a gravel bike by specialized I am greatly disappointed. I was told the nearly 3,000$ bike was " Great for gravel or the road". Sadly my bike was ruined after riding on a mediocre gravel trail not even 2 months into my purchase because I had slightly chipped the crank and the chain fell off, got stuck and had severely damaged the carbon frame. Afterward I went to hutch's and asked them about a replacement frame the only one Hutch's had to offer was over 4000$. Unfortunately I spent most of my savings on this bike in the first place thinking it would be reliable for at

Super helpful, very friendly, & great prices! Possibly the best customer service ever. I came in a bit ago for a tune up, and instead of charging me full price, they only charged me for what I needed. Then I got a flat tire, so back to Hutch's I go. One lovely gentleman fixed my flat, while another lovely gentleman taught me about road bikes. Then I broke my damn back car window in their parking lot, and the dude who chatted bikes with me helped me clean it up and told me jokes, instead of making me feel like a dipshit. Best bike shop ever.

Went with the family to buy 2, maybe 3 bikes. We walked in and my husband asked "Where are your Giant bikes?" An employee/older man says rather put off "Do you have a reservation?" as He shows us where they are and I ask "Why do we need a reservation?" In my head I'm wondering why we would need a "reservation" to buy bikes when he says "I didn't understand him", again lacking any manners and bordering rude. My husband has a European accent, but has been an English speaker for almost 30 years and lived in US for 30 years. The final straw

I called Hutch's Bicycles last week with a last minute bike rental request. I needed to rent a few bicycles and have them delivered to an airbnb location in Redmond to use as backup transportation around town during our solar eclipse trip. The folks at Hutch's were so accommodating and responsive, especially BRIAN. The business doesn't usually deliver, but for a reasonable extra fee Brian made an exception and agreed to deliver and pick up the bikes himself. Instead of telling me what they can't or don't do, Brian responded with what they could do; a refreshing superior

I bought my bike at Hutch's and, even though it cost an arm and a leg, I ended up glad I did. They offer a yearly tune-up for free for the life of the bike and are exceptionally helpful when asked questions; they even made a few adjustments for me, on the house, and pointed out all the best trails for my mid-range skills. The selection is somewhat limited and prices are high -- you can get the same bikes much cheaper online -- but I had to have it that day. So, yeah. All in all, if you're willing to pay a high price for a bike, their continued service won't leave you hanging

Excellent service. Very friendly and informative staff. Gave me a lot of information about local trails. Included me throughout the whole repair process and even taught me some stuff about my bike and little things to look for in the future in terms of maintenance. Will definitely return for future bike repairs. Thanks!

I went in to diagnose an issue with shifting, and the mechanic immediately began working on it. He tried everything he could think of to solve the issue until he finally determined it was in the shifter cable, which was trashed. This is something my old bike shop should have caught when I had it serviced two months ago. The Hutch's mechanic was very knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. Highly recommend!!
