It's hard to believe that I have been practicing optometry for nearly 30 years and in private practice for 27 of them. The personal relationships we have with our patients have allowed us to better care for them over the years. While commitment to technology has always been a component to our success, I would say that excellent care starts with one on one discussion with patients and the proper utilization of that technology.
Our general optometric practice will be able to exam your eyes and diagnosis for a variety of ocular conditions. We pride ourselves on being able to optimize your visual performance and hopefully enhance the quality of life. We offer a host of services and welcome patients who have been previously unsuccessful with their eyecare needs.
Unfortunately, this phrase has been heard in doctor's offices around the country as managed care health insurance plans continue to change the face of medicine and eyecare. We've also heard this comment from our own patients. While we have joined several insurance plans, we haven't joined them all and have flatly refused to join many.

I have been going to Dr. Smith for 15 years, when I first went from glasses to contacts as a pre-teen to now. He has guided me through everything from picking frames to choosing the best contacts to recommending maintenance care. I have since gotten Lasik and he continues to be my go-to for regular checkups. Always friendly, honest, transparent, and helpful. The office is clean and comfortable, staff is always kind and accommodating, and he follows through on any of my needs. I have multiple friends and family who have and will continue to go to him for life. I choose to pay out of pocket for him

I've been a patient of Dr. Smith for over 20 years - some people fret doctor's visits, I actually look forward to this one yearly. The staff is always incredibly welcoming and friendly. Dr. Smith is truly in a class of his own. I always appreciate his knowledge, honesty and delivery: it's always very clear, right to the point and concise. My husband and I were looking for a eye doctor that was not a chain. I looked at reviews and decided to go to Dr. Floyd Smith based on what everyone was saying. We had a great experience. From the moment we entered to the moment we left we were treated like family by everyone we came in contact with. When the doctor examined our eyes he explained everything and answered all our questions. We did not feel like we were being rushed by anyone. I felt that we received a very good exam and are so happy that we found this office and would definitely recommend them.

I have been a patient for many years, I used to work nearby. However, after my job relocated I stayed with the practice even though it's a 25 minute ride. Dr Smith is very thorough and patient, outlining all the facts. The staff is awesome. So helpful and patient. Plus the frame selection can't be beat!!

My husband and I have been going to EyeCare Insight for about 30 years!! Even though we moved to another town and have to travel nearly an hour to see Dr. Smith, it's worth the trip. His expertise and care, the extra friendly and helpful staff, and the time they take to explain everything to take care of our eyes is wonderful. My family and I have been long standing patients of Dr. Smith's practice and we would highly recommend him to anyone seeking a top-notch eye care professional. He and his friendly and efficient staff make you feel like family. He spends time explaining his assessment and recommendations with care. Dr. Smith thinks out of the box and will suggest other eye care options when possible. We also like that he has a full Optometry facility to fulfill our eye glasses and contact lenses on site. Customer service is their priority which is why we wouldn't go anywhere else!

I highly recommend Dr. Smith and his staff (one of my friends already had an appointment because of my referral). Office staff is always friendly and I never ever had to wait. As for Dr. Smith, he is such a kind, warm doctor who told me from the time I walked into his office that we were going to get my contact lens right even if it took a few tries (I have a bit of a complicated eye history). We finally got the right contact and it's amazing. It's life-changing for me. I am so grateful and thankful to Dr. Smith for sticking with me and making sure I was fully satisfied. I visited Eye Care Insight yesterday for the first time. I have to say the overall experience was above my expectations. The way they handled the current pandemic made me feel safe. They take your temperature before even entering the office. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Dr. Smith made me feel comfortable and explained everything thoroughly, very easy going. Dr. Smith is amazing! He literally saved my eyes. I went to him for a second opinion after I was told my eyes were "damaged," I would never be able to use contacts again and needed plugs which I would also need to be inserted every 4-6 months.

Dr. Smith has been my eye care provider for 30+ years. He is attentive, super skilled and very approachable. Dr. Smith invests in the latest/greatest technology to test eye health. He always keeps up with the current research. Eye glasses provided by his office are amazingly clear and top quality -- a vast improvement over anything I've gotten at a retailer (Lens Crafters, BJs, etc). The office staff are wonderful. I'm so happy that I found this eye dr when I was searching on yelp! Takes a lot for me to say I have an eye dr that I prefer to go to, as I've been wearing glasses since I was very young and routinely get my eyes examined. He is patient, listens to what you are experiencing with your eyes, and works on ways to make it better the best he can.
I want to refer my dad to you- do you also check patients who have diabetes? His dr referred him to an eye dr that checks for certain things for diabetic patients- id love to refer him to you, do you do the same?

I have been coming here for many many years (probably about 12 years since I first started wearing contacts). I remember being a teenager and trying out my contacts for the first time - the staff was patient with me as I practiced with my contacts for probably 30 mins+.
I am always happy with Dr. Smith and his staff as my eye doctor. I always have a pleasant experience here. They are all super professional and very friendly. I even missed an appointment once, and they were able to fit me in about a week later.

I chose this place because of yelp and the amount of good reviews they have.
Soup to nuts it was wonderful. Dr was very thorough and explained everything to me.
I spent about 1.5 hours there doing all the routine checks and fitting me with new lenses.
The staff was very pleasant and welcoming.
