Second time here. Sat out side both times. First time pad Thai and yellow curry both good. Today drunken noodles & Three Amigos. Very good as well. FYI there were no peanuts in the drunken noodles. I saw a complaint about that. Tried them out of curiosity. New favorite. Staff wears masks and very courteous and attentive. We’ll be back!

Ambiance: (3/5)
See pics
Food: (3/5)
- Green Curry with Shrimp ($15.95)-- shrimp were perfect cooked. (4/5) Rice-- disappointing. Thai food, rice plays an important part. It makes a big difference to one's dining experience. (1/5)
- Tom Kha Kai ($14.95)-- a little bit on the sweet side. (3/5)
- Green Papaya Salad ($8.95)-- very subpar. Carrot should be eliminated. It's not part of the "Papaya Salad". Portion was small. (2/5)
- Fresh Mango With Sweet Sticky Rice ($8.95)-- mango was not fresh nor ripe or sweet. Should not be served. Sticky Rice: sugar texture, coconut and rice

We had tried another place and left because the menu was not vegetarian friendly as promised on Yelp. Happened upon this place by accident. So glad we found it. Friendly helpful servers. Food ready very fast on a Saturday night. Prices were very fair. Fresh, delicious, ginger mushrooms with onions and bell peppers. Choice of protein. We had tofu and tofu pad Thai was perfect with plenty of sauce.

We went to the Orient Thai Cafe with great expectations. The food was alright but nothing special. Small portions and very little add-ons like vegetables. Splitting the bill was an utter mess. They gave us unfriendly, ungrateful vibes represented in the 2 out of 5 stars. Many better spots in PB to dine in.

For years I used to come here every other week and tell all my friends about this place. Being plant based, there’s very few places that have good veggie options in PB specifically.
They have a spicy eggplant dish that I used to rave about. Now that’s no longer the case.
A couple months ago they’ve raised the prices across the board on everything. No substitutions anymore either. Portion sizes have significantly decreased as well.
Don’t know if they’ve also gotten new chefs or not but the eggplant the last 3 times I’ve gone back in the couple months has never been fully cooked nor

First time coming to this restaurant. It's a small restaurant close to pacific beach, San Diego CA 5 minutes drive. The restaurant itself clean and very oriented. Like I'm at Thailand. Love the food it reminds me of Indo Javanese food have a little bit sweet yet spicy. We'll definitely coming back here.

This is my go to spot for Thai food in Pacific Beach. The food is quality. They always get my orders right. The spice can be INTENSE, so order accordingly (on a scale 1-10).
I've actually never dined in here but probably have ordered from them 50+ times over the last few years. My first experience eating at The Orient Thai Cafe was literally a decade ago and I remember it being good then too. Ambiance inside the restaurant is cute, but it is located next to a 7-11 which brings out all sorts of colorful people (so maybe dine inside once that becomes available again).

The orient thai cafe hit the spot for exactly what we wanted at the time. The Panang chicken curry was good (worth it) and the spring rolls got the job done, but I've had better. The duck was ok, and my boyfriend is a BIG duck guy, but he's definitely had a lot better (maybe not in San Diego though). All in all, we may order again at some point.

The Orient Thai Cafe is conveniently located in the heart of Pacific Beach, only a few blocks from the beach. The restaurant had a relaxing ambiance with its garden themed seating area and soothing water fountains.
Focusing on traditional and vegetarian Thai food, the menu offers a wide selection of appetizers, soups, entrees, and even specialty dishes. To start, we ordered the Winter Rolls, full of lettuce, cucumber, carrots, and tofu all wrapped in rice paper and served with a side of peanut sauce. The dipping sauce is absolutely phenomenal (perhaps even the best part of the entire dining experience
