Services
Many people have unused or inherited jewelry that is not to their personal style, whether it's been handed down through generations or they've outgrown their previous taste. The jewelry is usually locked away until the temptation is to sell the item. Typically, anyone purchasing the jewelry will only use it for scrap metal despite the gemstones(s) being in perfectly good condition.
Michael Nutter opened his first Fine Jewelry retail store in Portland OR at Johns Landing in 1978. He was an immediate success. His success allowed him to open his Jewelry Design Studio in Camas WA, overlooking the Columbia River, as well as a retail Fine Jewelry store in Vancouver WA. His Camas Studio was the center of the Michael Nutter line of fine jewelry, which was represented in Fine Jewelry stores nationwide.
Whether it be an entirely new piece or a family heirloom you wish to have repurposed, Michael Nutter's your jeweler. His attention to your needs, focus on designs that you love, and expert craftsmanship will guide you seamlessly through the process. With over 40 years of experience, Michael Nutter's unique craftsmanship, combined with his highly technical production and skill level, means his work must provide superlative standards.

Michael has provided my family his very special jewelry since the 1980’s. He is the epitome of a great creative, kind soul and is so easy to work with. We are creating legacy jewelry with Michael’s help. We can’t equate his expertise, kindness and willingness to help us create memories to anything. Thank you Michael, us Ewart’s love and appreciate you and your work!!!

I had a loose stone installed in an old ring and had a broken band repaired. The ring came out wonderfully. The craftsmanship of the repair was what impressed me most. Michael is also really kind, has really competitive pricing and does not pressure you into any unwanted sales. Best jewelry experience I've had. Period.

Michael is not only a skilled artist and craftsman but a joy to work with. Michael has done several repairs for me but recently for my husband's 70th birthday he recreated a gold bracelet that had been lost.
Forty-four years ago I bought a costume jewelry love knot bracelet for my husband. Shortly after we were married I had another love knot bracelet made out of gold which he wore for the next 30+ years before it was lost. My husband did not want me to replace his bracelet due to cost and I respected his decision. After meeting with Michael, and discussing the cost and feasibility of replacing

September 2018: Unable to secure and release your necklace clasp without a hassle? Don’t fight it—replace it. Extremely happy with the easy gravity-secured clasp that Michael Nutter designed. Wish I’d done it years ago.
July 2018: Grateful to jeweler Michael Nutter in downtown GH who found and fixed a flaw in my diamond ring setting that no other jeweler had spotted. Also checked and cleaned several heirloom rings to their former brilliance, even offering wonderful insight to my grandmother’s wedding ring that was previously unknown. Such a great resource and affordable prices.

Recently I had Michael redo an old wedding ring set that no longer could be used for that. We had talked and he told me to bring it in and see what could be done. He used the band for the gold, and took the stone (amethyst) from the original ring and reset it. It turned out beautiful and now I really like having the availability of seeing it renewed. Michael is very easy to talk with, and had some great suggestions and finished the ring in a timely fashion. Plus the cost was doable. I would highly recommend his workmanship.
