We're baking the taste of Europe on the city streets of Charlotte, NC (USA) with locally sourced ingredients!. Sweet/dessert strudels tend to draw the most attention in the United States, so our pre-order bakery is always producing them for the Charlotte, NC area. However, savory strudels tend to be the most popular in central Europe, so we also keep a selection for those seeking authentic variety.
The oldest strudel recipes date back to 1696 and are located in a handwritten cookbook at the Vienna City Library. Strudel is popular in Austria and in many European countries that once belonged to the Austro-Hungarian empire (1867-1918).

Services
A full-service, wholesale, catering, bakery & food truck company inspired by European culture. Strudelteig is our family business, which began with the ambitions of a well-traveled American and his Austrian wife who settled in Charlotte, NC during the spring of 2014.
The idea became a reality in late 2017, when the decision was taken to infuse a husband's idea of starting his own food service with his wife's quest to re-create traditional foods, using local ingredients.

RSVP events normally choose from 2 savory and 2 sweet items. We are currently accepting bookings with 2 weeks notice. Please note our minimum catering job is set at 50 servings (combination of savory and/or sweet menu items) in order for our truck to appear onsite at your event. If you do not have the minimum of 50 servings for our truck to appear, we can still deliver to your location for smaller parties/events (without our truck).
In addition to our food truck operations, Strudelteig operates a kitchen delivery service for the greater Charlotte, NC area. Should your party/event be below the minimum size for our food truck to make an appearance, you can still buy our products in bulk for delivery or pickup. All products will be contained in disposable food service containers and/or bakery boxes.

Oh my God!! Found this gem at the Matthews Farmers Market I got the grilled cheese pretzel with cured pork and kraut! Let me tell you about the pretzel! piping hot and delicious pulled apart with the goodness of the cheese! Then you add the ever so salty cured pork and the crunch of acidic kraut! Man this was a breakfast for champions and a great start to our first market adventure!

I had Strudelteig at Resident Culture and it was honestly amazing. Easily the best food of this kind in the city. I had the special which was Goulach with a Kaiser roll. The portion was huge and the dish was so flavorful. A lot of chunks of tender beef in there. I couldn't even finish it. The sauerkraut was also really good and infused with apple. Sounded interesting but it was awesome. I will be tracking them down in the future!

Strudelteig is the real deal!
Luckily for me I have had the pleasure of enjoying their tasty treats at several breweries over the last few months.
Strudelteig serves one of the freshest pretzels I have ever had! Soft, doughy with a perfect bite and texture, served with some amazing pimento cheese and pickles to boot! And, one thing I will say is that salt their pretzels to perfection...and as some of us know they can sometimes be over salted or under, this one is spot on.
Be sure to follow them on Intragram, or check out their website, to see where they are located and check them out!

I normally don't do food trucks, but was walking around on Front Porch Sunday and getting hungry. This food truck is unique in style and the food was fantastic. I gobbled up a chopped bratwurst, with some kind of veggies, mustard, etc. The staff was super friendly. I would rate A+ and highly recommend you check it out.

How have I never heard of this truck??
This past Sunday was my first Front Porch Sundays of the year, and they kind of crammed all the food trucks towards one end of the stretch. I saw Strudelteig's product before I saw the truck, and immediately said to The Lady, "I have to have that in my life".
I'm a big soft pretzel fan, I truly believe that a great soft pretzel is as good as it gets. So I find the truck and order the Bavarian Pretzel Melt ($9.25), which is essentially a grilled cheese with caramalized onions on a soft pretzel. About 8 minutes later, it comes out, and
