Bakery 28

This bakery is so cute! I picked up goodies for my team this morning. Chocolate croissants, blueberry muffins and a latte for myself! They have a beautiful space and friendly staff.

Hands down my favorite bakery in Cornelius/Huntersville/Charlotte areas. They have very refined French bakery style pastries. The wedding cakes look amazing. I love all the deserts there including the breakfast croissant sandwiches. I go there in the morning for the breakfast sandwiches that are fairly priced.

I've been supporting this local bakery lately and I am ALWAYS impressed with the fabulous baked goods not to mention the professional set up and cozy atmosphere.
We are so fortunate to have this very high end bakery in our back yard Cornelius! Special special special!!

My husband and I like to find coffee shops where we can sit and play board games while eating good desserts and baked goods. The bakery shop is a cute, clean, with a great variety of desserts, pastries and coffee. It has indoor sitting; a vegan and gluten free selection of desserts; breakfast croissants, and lots of options for coffee. I had the chocolate mousse, breakfast croissant and an oat milk late. All were great. If you are around the area is worth visiting them.

HEAVEN ON EARTH! I just ate an (ok, fine, another) almond croissant......first thoughts.....if you were on death row this should be your last meal (well, this almond croissant and 9 or 10 other scrumptious treats from Bakery 28) so you would at least get to experience heaven once. The light airy layers baked to perfection with awesome crunch and delectable flavor there are simply no words that do justice to the perfection which these almond croissants are made. The selection is diverse and everything I've gotten to try has been delicious. I ordered a vegan chocolate chip cupcake and oat milk latte for myself and the latte was one of the best I've tried.

My sister got a macaroon and a chocolate mousse dome which she also loved. The service was also excellent. The manager seemed very kind and attentive to her staff and the woman who served us was so sweet! I'll be making sure to come back soon.

I cannot be happier with Bakery 28. I first started coming here for the amazing desserts and pastries. Then, I decided to order my wedding cake from here. Keli is so sweet and so amazing to work with. It made my wedding day much more stress free knowing Keli cared so much and would do a wonderful job. I also ordered custom cookies for our wedding as well. Everything turned out amazing and I couldn't be more thankful. Thank you Bakery 28 team!

I wish I could give this bakery 0 stars. Two weeks ago, I called and spoke with the owner about my daughter’s birthday cake. I was so relieved she was able & willing to make our cake since the lady who normally makes them was out of town. I went to the bakery today to pick up the cake for the party tomorrow. The cake wasn’t exactly what I had in mind with the #2 fondant that was $10 or $15 add on(see pictures below) but the presents were exactly what I wanted so I didn’t even bother mentioning the #2 (I also had to remind the lady checking me out that it was missing.)

Wow! Not only could they turn around a request within a couple days, but it was equally beautiful as it was delicious!!! I was expecting a little less in flavor because it was so beautiful but that was NOT what we got! The cake was absolutely delicious!!!! And made a little girl very happy!

We found this bakery when we we're trying to hunt down some Macarons. They did not disappoint! They had at least 10+ different unique selections a d we got a 12 pack a d they were all amazing! This will be our go to place for macarons now and it's with the drive!

Keli made us some gorgeous custom cookies for a HS graduation party. She made the logos of the colleges my kids are going to. We were very pleased with how they turned out and they were a big hit at the party.

Bakery 28 was recommended for a special cake and cookies. I had an excellent experience with Keli and the rest of the staff there. Clear communication, ease of transaction, and all items turned out better than we could have imagined!
The Blush Red Velvet was delicious! Cookies were perfect...not dry or crumbly. Not to mention all were decorated exactly as we envisioned!
The young man we celebrated is now serving our country. I appreciate Bakery 28's assistance with this!

Stopped in at Bakery 28 for the first time after dinner at the Harp & Crown across the street this evening, 3-16-21. First of all, it smells heavenly when you walk through the door. It was around 5:30 when we arrived, and according to Google they close at 6, but they were still obviously working in the kitchen because the smells were fresh. The atmosphere is clean, fresh, and chic, and the cakes and desserts in the cases look absolutely astounding and irresistible. They have a large selection of vegan and gluten free options which my date was enthusiastic about. She ended up ordering a coconut

I placed a long distance Valentine order-cookie cake and cookies. Rebecca took my order and was so polite and helpful. The Valentine order was delivered timely to my family in Cornelius and they loved the goodies!!

I picked up a dozen macaroons for a friends brunch and they were hands down the best I've ever had! Beats going to Charlotte for less quality. Friends have purchased cakes which always look amazing too! They also have gluten free options

Excellent bakery, this is the ONLY bakery we use in town. We also love to support a local and woman owned small business!

They carry traditional bakery items, higher caliber items such as domes and petit fours. They always have a selection of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options.

Such beautiful Yule Logs at reasonable price. Extensive collection of goodies in the cases. Very delicious coffee, and nice atmosphere to sit and enjoy it!

We ordered a bananas foster cake for my mom's birthday and it was excellent! The price was very reasonable for the quality and quantity of cake. The cake itself was a brown sugar cake with a vanilla cream filling, caramelized bananas, a thin rich chocolate layer, and brown sugar buttercream. I was worried that it was going to be super sweet, but it wasn't! The buttercream wasn't the cloyingly sweet supermarket style; instead it was super light, melt in your mouth good. It was easy to order over the phone and pickup was a breeze. Will come back for future special occasions!

I really love this bakery. Let's just say it's my favorite treat after a productive walk/run. I haven't tried the coffee, but the macaroons and cookies are so good! Usually, I have photos but I usually stuff my face before I actually have a chance in this case. They offer many vegan + gluten free options so feel FREE to indulge! I sure do.

I love, love, love Bakery 28! This is a hidden little gem tucked into an unassuming strip mall right off of exit 28.

The inside of the bakery is very chic and cozy. There's a few small tables and chairs for seating. The long display case has a bunch of tempting treats from cakes and cookies to pastries. They even had some gluten free options! We ordered an almond croissant and were so impressed by the size and quality of the pastry. It had a rich flavor without being overly sweet. Lastly, the pastry was more than reasonably priced (less than $4). It felt like a good value.

Very pretty cake. Bought the Chocolate Heaven cake for my daughters birthday. It was very heavy when I picked it up which surprised me. When I cut into the cake I immediately understood why it was so heavy. It was layered with several types of rich chocolates. The sponge was dense like pudding was added to it. The chocolate lovers it my family loved loved loved the cake. I would go back but would probably try something not so rich. I also bought 3 macaroons. Cookies and cream was my favorite. All the macaroons I bought were very good.

You asked for a bakery in Cornelius. You got a bakery in Cornelius. And if I could describe the flavor well, I would. But I just don't think I would do them justice. After living in Italy and having pastries every morning, I miss that way of breakfast. I tried their almond croissant and their Blondie and coffee. Their coffee is from Black powder coffee... Delicious. The almond croissant just might make you cry. They are still phasing in their opening, so hoping to see some bread from them soon. They do have croissants...fresh, buttery, perfect. New bakery in town right off exit 28 (hence the name, Bakery 28). This place is in the running for best oatmeal creme pie in Charlotte. Tremendously tasty and large sized. One of the best I've had, top 3 in the city easily. The oatmeal cookie is super soft and crumbles with each bite so you'll have to utilize the pastry wrapper they serve it on to strategically enjoy without losing any precious bits. Bakery 28 has wide variety of desserts, as well as more gluten-free and vegan options than I've seen in other bakeries. I stopped in to buy a few items during the pandemic, and appreciated that they had markers on the floor to space out customers in the bakery. They also offer curbside delivery.

We tried the Nutella layered cake ($4.75), the white tropic mousse parfait ($3.50), and a couple of cookies ($2.40 each). I wanted a couple of muffins, but theirs were small in comparison to The Bakery Shoppe's, so I opted to hold off.

I might be a little biased since my sister works her as one of the bakers, but this place is definitely worth checking out. I tried quite a few pastries, since I have a massive sweet tooth and I have to say, try the almond croissants - they are amazing. The vegan croissants are also worth checking out as well - always down to try vegan things, and it was pretty good as well. I would totally eat them as a snack with some tea or coffee on the side.

If you like chocolate try ultimate layer fudge cake, because that was my favorite of the things I tried! It was the perfect amount of chocolate, creamy

Today is my sister's birthday and all I wanted to do was give her something fun to celebrate the day. I called ahead to make sure cupcakes would be available and the Bakery 28 Team put my mind at ease right away. They had multiple flavors ready to go, Coffee and Vania with a mini donut on top, vanilla with chocolate frosting and oreo crumbles, confetti, even 2 vegan flavors! I was so impressed. They even added a little Happy Birthday cookie topper.
