Hilliard Veterinary Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital, providing comprehensive medical, surgical, dental, and emergency care for dogs and cats. Established in 1958, and now operated by Dr. Zoltan Djelmis and his staff, Hilliard Veterinary Hospital is the oldest operational small animal hospital in Hilliard, Ohio.
Our facility includes a surgery suite, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, on-site pharmacy and a closely supervised critical care area with separate dog and cat exam rooms. We provide a broad spectrum of diagnostic procedures through in-house testing and the use of external laboratories. We also offer a variety of surgical services, as well as dental care for pets.

The Hilliard Veterinary Hospital is a full service veterinary hospital with a complete on site laboratory. We offer both routine and advanced surgical services, including dentistry for companion animals. If you are in need of a veterinary service not listed here, please call and we will assist you in any way possible.
Veterinarian Zoltan Djelmis has had love of animals and a soft spot for strays since he was a child. Dr. Djelmis graduated in 1989 from University of Zagreb, Croatia. Civil war led him to come to America; he settled in the Columbus area because he had family here. He's been in Hilliard since 1997 and took over Dr. George Kukor's Hilliard Veterinary Hospital in June of 2006.
Routine preventative care for pets, like humans, is recommended to make sure your loving companion is as healthy as possible. Regular veterinary visits will ensure that your pet is up to date on their vaccinations and will help diagnose illness or other conditions that may occur. Early diagnosis can often lead to better management of conditions and better outcomes.
We offer a variety of special services in addition to regular and acute care for your pets. Microchipping services can help reunite you with a lost companion. Pet insurance and Care Credit can help with the financial expense of regular care or deal with unexpected costs of a diagnosis or emergency care.

Best Vet ever! The doctors and staff are so friendly, professional, and knowledgable. We got a puppy and the doctor and staff went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and healthy! My 10 year old cat also has diabetes and they walked me through everything, answered questions, and made a challenging situation the easiest it could be!

Fortunately, this office offers services as provided, and their doctors are knowledgeable. However, every time I have come, I have felt that both my time, and money could have been better spent elsewhere.
Let’s start with time. Each time I have come, the visit has taken over 30 minutes, including one visit that was for a single vaccination. Other similar practices have a much faster turnaround than this.
Moving on to price, I believe that the services provided could be offered at a significantly lower cost than what is quoted. Each procedure I have had quoted was significantly more than expected
