To celebrate fall, we've put together a SCRIBE wine lineup of 2020 Estate Chardonnay, a library selection of 2014 Skin Fermented Chardonnay, 2019 Carneros Pinot Noir, and 2018 Baker Lane Syrah. We visited Kelly Mariani's hometown of Winters, California, to harvest a fresh, new crop of almonds straight from the orchards.

Absolutely adore Scribe. The vibe here cannot be beat. The food is so fresh and tastes like heaven. The views are so pretty and the ambiance is beyond perfect. I would come back to Sonoma just to come to Scribe. You can go for a casual drink with a friend or a large group to celebrate something special. Great for all occasions.

If you're only in search of aesthetic content for your Instagram, then this is the winery for you. Also be sure to dress super warm if you're coming to visit on a cold day. There are no heat lamps, and blankets are on short supply. We arrived at the property, and it was lovely. The hostess greeted us and started us off with a chilled, un-aged pinot noir that she described as a sangria without the sugar. Scribe Winery is one of the more aesthetic wineries in Sonoma because of the beautiful Hacienda house and the gardens surrounding the property. The service is good, the wine is better but as a Scribe fan and member, I have to point out how ungenerous the pours are for the Hacienda Tasting.
For the Hacienda Tasting, you're paying $75 per person for a seat around the perimeter of the house and for five tastings. I recently went for the second time and it lost some of the luster it had the first time due to this stinginess. It appears that you could opt for the cheaper Knoll Tasting for $35

This is more of a review of the area that is up on the hills that overlooks the vineyards. The wine was overall excellent for the price and the picnic basket with the various charcuterie was spacious and satisfying. However, the view of the property is really great. There are plenty of spaces to sit under the table umbrellas or picnic benches with room to have blankets on the grass. It felt like a magical time here and we would love to visit again.

This was my favorite spot we visited during our trip to Napa and Sonoma. The lunch tasting was exquisite. They will accommodate any dietary restrictions or preferences for you too wish I really appreciated. The wine is fantastic and we shipped home a case. The skin fermented Chardonnay made me change my mind about chards!!

Loving it here, it's changed so much the last 5 years since I last visited. A dog friendly winery, open by APPOINTMENT ONLY, good wine, different varietals, organically grown grapes, food and wine pairings now, vegetable garden and a lot more fun.
Members only outdoor tasting in the hill, with gorgeous vineyards view, palm trees for days, such a happy place!

I lovvvve this place. The wine, food, and atmosphere are all amazing. It's a total Sonoma gem and I am so glad I stumbled upon it via google maps. They're extremely accommodating and have a great garden and vineyard. The food is very creative, seasonal, and delicious. Make sure you make reservations over the phone to get a spot! Also dog friendly.

I loved everything about this experience.
The food was so simple but absolutely delicious as was the wine. We were celebrating a birthday and while it was warm we were in the shade of an umbrella enjoying the view.
The house/venue was also really nice and I think it would be cool to have an event there. I'm not sure if you can taste inside but it would be nice in summer.
Our server was funny, attentive, and really informative.
THE VIEW! It's high enough where you can a really good view of the valley, we could see a few plumes of smoke in the distance which was sad and scary but

Scribe blew me away, truly. From the gorgeous drive up to the property, the rows of veggies growing in their garden, and most importantly, the wine is amazing.
We made a reservation (required) for a party of 3 for a Friday morning around 11am. We arrived a bit early so took the opportunity to walk around the house and property, the lighting was gorgeous and made for some really nice photos. The house on the inside and out was a literal MOOD, one that I want to be in each day. The craftsman style modern farmhouse feels were something from a magazine.
The courses are fixed, with a family/tapas

Could not have been more delighted with our food/wine pairing here! We made a reservation for a Saturday afternoon several weeks in advance, and had great seats under umbrellas outside the hacienda. Our server was lovely, and the food and wine were top notch. The Chardonnay is one of the best you’ll have, as is the rosé! Plus, the food is tasty and light, nothing too heavy but it’s plenty to keep you sustained during wine tasting. We loved the focaccia and the hummus especially!

This was my first time at this winery and really enjoyed the laid back casual vibe. There was outdoor seating with umbrellas. And even though we had just been to a different winery about 15 minutes away and had experienced some breeziness, it was calm and very pleasant at Scribe. They greeted us with pours of Rosé of Pinot Noir and plenty of bites to go along with our wine tasting. I only wish that they had an area where guests could relax and wander on the grass so that we weren’t limited to our seating area only.

We could not believe how beautiful this property was or how amazing the wine was that was paired perfectly with each course. The service was a little slow and we didn't learn as much about the wines as we did at other vineyards because of the meal pairing, but the experience was amazing and we really enjoyed our time on the property.
