Employees were good ppl. Lots of fun. Some products were well priced, but one star off for gouging on some products and slight lack of selection. I'd recommend this place if you know the price you should pay for products.

Well me and my wife walk in to look at some bikes but there’s this lady working don’t know or care for her name. But right before we even look she stops us and asked us how can I help! Mind you she’s helping someone else at the time and she asked us right off the bat what’s ur price rang? My wife says 60$. And then she rolls her eyes and says 450 is our lowest. We came cause I searched used bikes and this store popped up. Moral is I might of bought a bike there you never know if she would let us at least take a peak. I will never walk in here again

The workers that work there are really nice, and friendly. When I went inside the building I was like wow, this is a big place and right in front of me is the little bike store. It was small and very cozy inside, for me it was hard to find but once I used the elevator map it helped. I would recommend this to any new comers.

Awesome Bike 🚲 Shop/Store! 👍 Crystal provided superb client services including showing me 4 bikes well suited for my commuting/leisure/recreational riding and giving me helpful information regarding the different brands.
I left with the bike I went there for: Giant Cypress L Mettalic Blue 💙
The "Large" is huge and for me at 6'2" it's a perfect fit! Nice selection.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Great prices. A beautiful shop located right inside the historical Union Depot on the first floor. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED BY CYCLIST!!! 💜

Was out for a ride when 1 of my thumb shifters came apart! Could no longer shift between gears.
Lucky for me (or so I thought) I was just a block away from Lowertown Bike - NOT!
Walked the bike in and was hoping they would be able to take a look, think a set screw came loose.
Was told I would have to leave the bike - like I was gonna walk home.
Didn't even look at the problem, or consider the customer was mid-ride. No asking a mechanic if they could take a look. May have been a easy fix.
"What do you want me to do?" Really?!
Never coming back.
Added: I was not at a restaurant, I was at your

This is my favorite bike shop! Extremely knowledgeable and helpful staff, great location, and it's really cool that they're a nonprofit. When they don't have an item in stock, I can always count on them to get it special ordered.
I've been coming here for years, can't believe it took this long to occur to me that I should leave a review. 😅

Small but very cool shop, there were a nice variety of bikes and they were well informed of the products they are selling. The place also sends me chill vibes and the people were very professional and kind. I didnt think about it till after but the clothing I was wearing would be considered to be of someone being a little suspicious or sketchy but the ladies treated me as any other customer, Much thanks.

This shop is awesome! I am new to gravel biking and live several hours away. This was the only shop that took the time to answer my questions online. They were extremely fast in responses and we had a pleasant dialogue throughout the day. Jeremy was obviously very knowledgeable. Not only did he help me pick the right bike for me but after checking with the company and finding out the particular bike would not be available anytime soon, he recommended I buy it from any bike store that had it! Next time I am in need of anything bike related, this will be my first stop despite the distance. Thanks

Not only was I thrilled with the bike purchase I made, but the service was incredible. The woman working was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuine in helping my wife and I navigate the process and find what best worked for us. I will certainly be going back for any future cycling needs.

Merv was also very helpful and friendly throughout our entire time in the store.

A tube puncture blew a tire off the rim and damaged the bead. I found LBS on google and saw it was only a 10 minute walk, so i made my way over. They take apple pay so I was able to make a purchase without my wallet, had what I needed for my road bike, and didn't need to call an Uber, friend/family, etc.
They said 4 people called, but i was in first so I was offered service first, but I was equipped to handle it, so I handled it and let them be available for others.
So nice, a wonderful shop, and good selection!

Due to a misunderstanding that was mostly my own fault, my vintage bike was renewed with parts that were an unattractive color match to the paint and with each other. When Crystal (the manager) learned I was unhappy with the end result, she offered to switch out the seat, bar tape, and tires to all black. This was a very kind and generous offer, which I gratefully accepted.

Wonderful local owned and operated bike shop. Knowledgeable and friendly service. For the past several years they have handled all repairs and tuneups on my bicycles; from my older commuter to my custom titanium road bike, I wouldn't trust anyone else.

They charged me for work I did not request, discuss or want. When I asked for them to remove those charges, I was yelled at by Jeremy. After a childish argument, I asked for them to remove the parts they installed, throw my disassembled bike in a box so that we could go our separate ways. Jeremy refused, and they still have my bike.

If this shop was a part of the BBB I would file a formal complaint. It appears as though they will do whatever extra work they can to meet the maximum agreed budget, regardless of what the customer actually wants.

If anyone decides to use this shop, please get everything

My favorite and go-to bike shop. Staff that are both friendly AND extremely full of knowledge, a super unique, beautiful and convenient location and of course a great selection of quality bikes. The first place I look for my bike needs. I highly recommend visiting. You will be fitted for a bike with excellence and care. You won't even believe what you've been missing all these years riding bikes not quite right for you. You will leave LBS with the PERFECT bike that you will ride for years and year and years to come. Bonus, they are a nonprofit so you know they are into doing good in the

Did you know this is a non-profit? Amongst all the good stuff that you'll find at this shop, I was most surprised by that. Crystal is really kind and extremely knowledgeable. I brought my mom's bike in and within a few days she got the tires in shape and fixed the brakes. She also added a water bottle fixture on the fly. I can't wait to go back and see about investing in a longer distance bike.

The good: affordable custom bikes
The better: personalized service
The best: MERV! He is such a cutie, well behaved and absolutely the sweetest! Bikes with dogs? Need I say more!

For the second time, the mechanics at Lowertown Bike Shop have decided to do services to my bike that I had not authorized or given my ok to do. I went in asking for my grips to be replaced and service to be done to my chain and lock ring. These are the repairs I felt prepared to pay for at the time.

But without consulting me first, they replaced brake pads and a brake line, charging me far more than I was expecting. This is poor and dishonest business, and I will not be going here again.

LOVE lowertown bike shop. Been going here on and off for a couple years now.

I've had them do seasonal tune ups and the occasional repair on my bike (Specialized road bike) and always been very happy with them. They also have always taken the time to answer my questions, and explain things to me. (My cycling maintenance knowledge is sometimes uneven)

Recently, I had them build me a custom bike for the winter. It was a great experience. They were also very non-weird about things like "i have a budget", asking right off what I wanted to spend and working with me to prioritize where

The staff of Lowertown Bike shop are knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. I've done two different builds with them and both bikes are still rolling with minimal upkeep. I've recommended multiple friends and family members to the shop, and I will continue to in the future. Best bike shop in the twin cities - highly recommend!

Came here frustrated and desperate to attach a basket. They could have charged me a fortune and I probably would have paid it. To my surprise, they charged me an unbelievably reasonable price and my bike was ready the next day!

Staff was incredibly friendly too, and seemed very knowledgeable in bikes. They earned themselves a customer, and I'm now considering them my go to bike shop. I will definitely be back for a tune up in the fall, as well as any other bike service gear, or equipment. Great shop.

I was sort of nervous to bring a bike in for service given the size and price point of this little shop. Brought my bike in for a routine clean and tuneup and chain and rear cassette replacement. Repairs were completed on time but when I rode my bike the next week the handle bar came loose while I was riding. I fixed it myself and chalked it up to stuff happens but I noticed shortly thereafter riding it my drive train making a clicking noise. I brought it back and was told it could be fixed under warranty. I picked it up a few weeks later and found it to be doing the same thing. I rode it into

I messed up my gears because I'm an idiot. In a day they fixed not only my chain but also a brake misalignment I'd been too lazy to adjust. $16 well spent, as it meant I didn't have to try and do it myself in my wasp-filled garage. When it's needed, I plan to take my bike to them for a tuneup - they provide accurate time frames for repair and are great in terms of pricing and information.

Incredible!!! I dropped off my filthy out of tune bike on a Tuesday. What I picked up a week later was nearly the same bike I bought brand new two years earlier. These guys are amazing and the price was 1/2 that of another shop up the street. They charge rock bottom prices for rock solid service.
Thanks LBS!
