If your idea of customer service is poor communication, zero customer service, and disregard for building maintenance. I highly encourage you to rent from S&L Property Management. This management company does not respond to maintenance requests, voicemails, emails, or smoke signals. Any attempt to reach out to S&L is received as an annoyance and in the unlikely event they respond, it's generally with anger. Basic building maintenance is not a priority. As an example, it took two years for them to wash the exterior windows, the machines in the laundry room breakdown every other week

This property management company does not respond to maintenance requests, or any emails for that matter. If you send an email to follow up on your maintenance request, they get angry and tell you to submit it through the portal... which they do not monitor or reply to. They also don't answer the phones... in the 1% chance that they do, they're extremely rude and still unhelpful.
The laundry machines on site jam every other week and their only solution is that the building owner has to use his key to empty the quarters. What happens when he gets COVID and is quarantined? NOTHING. They

I was going to use the property management office of this company to rent an apartment. I paid there application fee and was approved, but I had questions regarding their process to move in. I called the office and got the rudest office assistant! She proceed to tell me it was the law that the first full month of rent was to be collected up front! Even though it was moving in on the 10th of the month. When pressed for details of the law she put me on hold and just transferred me to someone else. Who said it's no the law but their policy because they've been burned so many times. Also

SINCE THEY TOOK OVER ARE BUILDING, ITS ONE THING AFTER ANOTHER. AT LEAST GIVE A CALL BACK. WHEN YOU PHONE TO TALK TO SOMEONE THEY DISCONNECT YOU , THEN WHEN TELLING THEM THE PROBLEM, THEY PROBABLY DIDN'T LIKE WHAT YOU SAY THEY HANGUP ON YOU. THIE IS UNACCEPTABLE AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!!!!!

I've worked with Robert on a number of projects as one of his vendors. His professionalism and caring are readily apparent. He makes sure his tenants are taken care of while not creating impossible demands. When people need our service, property managers are known for freaking out, not Robert, he stays even and reasonable. A pleasure to work with.

My now-husband and I just moved out of our apartment, managed by S&L Realty, after 6 wonderful years.
I still stand by my review of 5-stars. S&L Realty was always responsive to our requests throughout the years, and have been wonderful with helping us out with our needs.
We'll miss our old apartment. If you're looking for a property management company, choose them--your residents will be very happy!

I just moved in at the start of October but, for the time being, I'm happy to say the rental process was pleasant with Natalie for our apt in Pac Heights. I can't think of another way to say this but, she was "an actual human" about the application process.
Returned email, showed up on time, SMILED, shook hands, answered questions - the full nine yards. My husband and I wish to speak up about the fantastic team of Robert, Liz and Kurt Link of S + L Realty.
They've managed the apartment building we live in and very much appreciate their professionalism, quick actions dealing with problems, friendliness and persuading the owner to spend money on her building.
Before S + L was hired to manage our building in the Mission, it was a constant headache just trying to get our calls returned from the owner, who lives out of state.

Liz found us our dream home in Marin. She was able to close the deal despite multiple offers and worked late in the evenings revising our counter offer.
Liz worked tirelessly showing us numerous properties and was always upbeat with thorough research such as what the homes previously sold for and what would make a competitive offer.

Liz and Robert at S&L Realty are incredible people; professional, efficient and compassionate. I rented from S&L Realty in 2008 and again in 2013. One of the most unprofessional real estate agents I have come across in my 3 years of living in the Bay area.
1.) Tatiana puts up the ad on Craigslist but doesn't have time to show the place (she was busy attending a concert). So she lets random people in by themselves after telling them the entrance code over the phone!! If you would give ANYONE the entry code, what's the point of having one?
2.) They want Cashier Checks to be dropped off at a random address over the weekend without anyone being there. NO Thanks

S&L Realty manages his family's apartment complex in San Francisco and they have done an excellent job. This review is LONG overdue! I have been living in my fabulous apartment for over a year now, and I LOVE IT! Rob Link at S & L Realty is amazing. He made my apartment search quick and easy. I was in a pinch and needed a place asap and I was so lucky to find a place in his building.
My apartment is beautiful, and newly renovated...the building is kept clean and updated, it's the best apartment I've lived in, in SF.

S&L is the management company for the apartment I rent. They are awesome with repairs, quick and I never have to worry about timely repairs. This Memorial Day weekend, my toilet stopped working -- I sent an email. Like magic, it was like little plumber fairies came, fixed it, and disappeared! No mess, you would never even know anyone came in!

We are in love with our apartment! And we are not the only ones everyone that comes over to visit gasps when they see our view. We really did luck out when it comes to finding a beautiful, safe, and affordable apartment in San Francisco. S & L Reality made this all possible.

My boyfriend and I rented a lovely little 1 bedroom at Pacific and Van Ness from S & L Realty from July 08 - July 09 and I have to say, this was the most professional renting experience I've ever had. Isaac found the apartment while I was still living in another city, and when I showed up, they brought the contract to my apartment to have me sign. We just received our deposit in the mail, and they sent us ADDED INTEREST accrued over the year. I've never heard of such an amazing thing!
