Margie has been so helpful with my move as has the Maintenance staff. The apartments are very spacious + have very good storage space...also mature landscaping makes for a feeling of peace and tranquility.

Very rigid ownership and management that has diminished livability and appeal in recent weeks. Very unfortunate but very true that this is no longer a desirable place to call home. All flowers, decorative amenities and unit amenities are being removed along with threatening notices which have resulted in a loss of enjoyment and livability. Can no longer recommend. After six years we are will be finding an alternative place to call home. Very unfortunate but very true. Good luck!

Hi- so I'm not sure what other reviewers are talking about.
I've been here for 5 years- having relocating from the east coast.
I think it's a very nice area, very convenient, and the apartment and layout are very nice.
I have an open view of the La Costa golf course, and it is quiet with nice neighbors.

We've had several property managers but Margie the current manager is completely on point and very nice.
I saw a review about someone complaining that she wanted it too clean and sterile. But then another older review complaining about it not being maintained enough.

Has been a reasonable relocation place. Unfortunately, ownership and current management has become so rigid with making the property a sterile community that it is no longer a desirable option, whether short term or long term. Unfortunately, I would no longer consider this a viable option.... There are now much better options; keep looking.

I have lived in this complex for a combined total of around 3 years and it's been nothing but positive. The main property manager, Megan Tarver, has been a pleasure to deal with when I have any questions or need any assistance with anything. The property is kept up well and maintenance requests are usually done within a reasonable amount of time (I think the maintenance team has been a little understaffed in the past; however, things of importance usually get done really quickly). No property is perfect; however, I think Megan and her team is doing a really good job and she has helped to make

I wish there was an option to give 0 stars because the entire Elan Alicante apartments and property management should no longer be in business.

I was greeted at the door of my soon to be apartment by Megan Tarver, the property manager, who had (what appeared to be) a nice, comforting smile and was very professional. She sold us on our unit and we rapidly moved in.

As time went on, our maintenance orders became more frequent. And to top it off, our PROPERTY MANAGER became less responsive. The phone is Almost NEVER answered and the office is almost ALWAYS vacant.

First was the broken kitchen

The unit we just got approved for is newly remodeled and a great price.

Megan has been so helpful and fast to respond to our questions and concerns. Highly recommend working with her and living at Alicante!

Me and my family have lived here for almost 3 years. We love the location. It was a rocky start at first. But ever since the new manager Megan started things have been way better. Maintenance requests can be filled out online and are completed quickly. The elementary school up the street is really good ranks 9 out of 10. Both our daughters have had a great experience so far.

Management works exceptionally hard to make each tenant happy. Good location. Some neighbors are frustrating and no one cleans up after their dogs.

Elan Alicante Apartments is terrible. They will cheat and lie in an effort to keep all of your security deposit. Rent will increase after every leasing period. Everyone has large dogs and the walls are super thin. This leads to all types of problems if you do or do not own a dog as well. I would give a 0 star rating if possible. Just a total bs complex, management is beyond ridiculous. I know housing with large dogs is tough in SD but I assure you this place is not cool.

We were not so happy moving in at first. There is been a lot of changes made with site management. But after living here for over six months we now have what seems to be a pretty solid team working here. They're making positive changes that needed to be made. I would definitely recommend checking into this place. It's a very peaceful quiet community with a beautiful view of the Omni golf course. :)

This complex is okay in quality and is in a great location, however has horrible management. The previous property manager has messed up our monthly rent MULTIPLE times and had to be emailed and reminded several times to fix it. Then we were charged for two dog fees several times when we had one on the lease. This she also had to be reminded of multiple times. Because she failed to file the paperwork properly, mid-year we had to re sign more paperwork.

We were not informed when the property manager changed hands. The new property manager, Kathy has not improved- actually it's been worse

My experience after only 1 year of renting was really bad. Within one year they:

1) Raised our rent by 15% (a three bedroom from $2150 to $2550)
2) Charged us $100 on top of that to go month to month
3) Allowed a young group of kids to hang out in our courtyard as late as 12am-3am during the week. Even after multiple tenants filed multiple complaints. I wound up having to sleep on my couch during the week for over a month so I could get enough sleep for work.
4) Charged us carpet cleaning and paint fees of $120 for what was nothing more than normal wear and tear.

I guess it's my fault

I found the Alicante apartments in between homes it was a great find. My first visit was positive and easy with Melanie the property manger. The staff was friendly and easy to work with. The grounds were always clean and quite. I highly recommended you go check out the property and Melanie. It was a great experience!!

I was helping a friend find an apartment while she was looking for a home in North San Diego County. While driving in La Costa, we can across this gem hidden off of Alicante Road off of Poinsetta Lane. Entering into the complex, it was clear attention to detail was a focus as the grounds were clean and well groomed. Our experience only got better once we met Melanie who is the Property Manager. Melanie is awesome! She showed us several different floor plans with my friend settling on a spacious 2 bedroom unit. Melanie and her staff made moving in a breeze and the apartment was in excellent

I lived at Alicante Views for 3 years & it was a GREAT experience!! The area is safe & the schools are top tier! The area is quiet & I never heard of a break-in or assault. I never had a second thought about walking my dog late at night, or anything. They do allow dogs - mine is 60lbs & they never hassled me about him, just charged a $500 deposit & $50 pet rent. At the time, rent was $1850 for a 3 bedroom, but they do go up about $100 per year, which seems pretty standard for SoCal. The 2 & 3 bedrooms have a storage room that's about the size of a space you would normally

It's a nice area, but at least half of the tenants are obnoxious, redneck, and whiskey tango. Loud, terribly-behaved children running around the complex all day and night, neighbors that play their (awful, vapid) music extremely loudly at all hours, assigned parking that is not enforced, appliances that don't work, sketchball people walking around the property at night. You're guaranteed to have a stressful home life because of the dreadful way Property West "manages" the complex.
Seriously for the year that I lived there, my roommate and I were constantly subjected to just about every terrible

My experience at Alicante View's was outstanding! My wife, dog Mollie, newborn baby briefly, and me lived here for 2 years. The only reason we left is that we purchased a condo in San Elijo Hills....The bedrooms are spacious, with washer and dryers inside of the your apartment (which was necessity for us). The grounds are always well maintained (i.e. grass trimmed, sidewalks swept, clean all around). Lots of kids live in the neighborhood if you happen have kids, in a very safe area... and close to great schools. We also had a storage unit outside of our front door which was a life saver for

If you're even considering checking out these apartments, DON'T! Run as fast as you can away from this rotten excuse for apartment homes.

I recently signed a new lease here & I am DEEPLY regretting my decision to stay. Management is lackadaisical & disinterested at best. I've lived there for almost two years now & up until recently have enjoyed my home. That is, until the neighbors from hell moved in upstairs. Initially there were five of them, there are now 8+ people living in the apartment above mine. If I didn't know any better I would swear they were

One of their apartments in got flooded and they contacted me to help them out to move some furniture from that apartment. We worked for two days packing and moving their stuff for a promise that they pay us within 2 weeks.

After sending them a bill they never contacted me. I spoke to Evelin, the property manager, but she was no help. All she told me is to call Candi at Property west Inc.

I tried to call Candi many times. Left many messages, even spoke to here secretaries. However, she NEVER called me back. Then in 2 months I received an email that I won't get paid and I should try to

I moved into these apartments and was very impressed by the manager. She met me at the door with a hand shake and introduced herself. She dressed very cool like, very hip but professional.
She told me that she just took over the complex in December and was excited to be in the La Costa area. I told her what I was looking for, a two bedroom in a quiet community with a washer and dryer. The manager took me to see a very nice second floor apartment and I really liked the layout. She said they had a special giving one month free on move-in and I was hooked. I can pay a lot off with my extra
