In 2008, owner, Matt Dirienzo and his wife Merry, started Compass Shredding and Recycling with a vision to make a positive difference at a local level which would also have a positive net affect globally. Matt took his 24 years of experience in the waste handling industry to anchor Compass Shredding & Recycling in New Braunfels.

Since 2008, Compass Recycling has established itself as one of the largest commercial paper recycling centers in South Central Texas. We focus on serving the needs of high-volume generators of scrap cardboard and paper such as Distribution Centers, Order Fulfillment Centers, Manufacturing Plants and Commercial Printers.
Compass Disposal services is the final complement to our recycling efforts. Once every opportunity is explored to recover recyclable resources such as cardboard, office paper and stretch wrap from Distribution Centers, Order Fulfillment Centers, Manufacturing Plants and Commercial Printers, the remaining trash is transported to local landfill.
Compass provides bale pick-up service for clients who already own a baler and produce "mill spec" bales. We can arrange for quick pick-up for quantities up to 10 or position a semi-trailer for swap or storage for high-volume generators. My organization has used the services of Compass for over 5 years for our annual shredding needs. Their prices have remained stable and the service from Matt and his team are stellar. They work with us to pick up our boxes for shred in offices from San Marcos to New Braunfels and always work with our schedule. I could not ask for better service from scheduling to pick up to billing. This is truly a five star organization.

Quick to help. Slight problem on a Friday afternoon. Made a call to the office. It got fixed. The fellows on the floor are awesome. The receiving area god walk in is smooth. Owner even came out to offer help after he was notified. Less expensive than any other area service with better quality service.

I really thought getting a break to work here was going to be something special, but not long into my employment I found out different. I was hired as a roll off driver, trained on it and was doing it efficently, but come to find out one little phone call changed all that! I was fired because of one phone call from a friend of the owner who called and expressed his concern of my driving. Now mind you no equipment or nobody was hurt or injured in this event. BUT somehow I lost my job because of this one concerning phone call! I was stunned and baffled and still now dont know what happened! Signed
