The menu at La Fillette is inspired by seasonality and classic French pastries. Because our menu changes based on the season, we encourage you to call us to find out what's in the pastry case, or come stop by the shop and see for yourself. Keturah Fleming, Chef Owner, started La Fillette Bakery in May of 2014 in Denver, CO.
We started wholesaling to a number of different coffee shops around town and found a permanent location in the Hilltop neighborhood of Denver. In 2016, Joshua Hall joined the team and became part owner. He has been a chef for 20 years and adds a savory perspective and expertise to the bakery. He has added several new items to the menu and the coveted breakfast sandwich that you can build to your liking.

La Filette has the best breakfast sandwich in town. The build your own style is a huge plus. They have unique options like duck confit, corned beef hash, gruyere and roasted garlic feta cheeses, roasted mushroom, croissant, ciabatta, focaccia and more. I appreciate that the bread and pastries are baked fresh every morning.

Breakfast sandwiches are delicious especially with tomato bacon jam. Their pastries over all are very Americanized French pastries. Good but not amazing. Croissants on their own are good but not particularly refined or delicate. Ambiance standard, no seating so only takeout. Prices average. Service is okay, not especially friendly. I would recommend this place because it's one of the better bakeries in Denver.

This is a fantastic french bakery and a perfect place to get croissants, galettes, and macarons. I typically go early in the morning and there is still usually a small line. Everything I have tried here is good, but do yourself a favor and make your own crossiant breakfast sandwich. I made a goat cheese, bacon, and caramelized onion one and it was phenomenal. Check this place out, you won't regret it!

Stopped in while walking from a medical appointment at Rose, into this not-very-visible form the outside bakery. I ordered a chocolate croissant and it was one of the best I have ever had. At $5.00 it was not cheap, but it was huge and felt like it weighed 5 pounds. Absolutely delicious croissant. Cant wait to go back and try other things. It was flaky, buttery, and better than any I had ever had. YUM!

It smells of butter when you first walk in, followed by the incredible warmth an active bakery brings with it. The quiche was very good and quite filling, and the breakfast sandwich was well executed, although I chose poorly doing the English muffin with hash (too much soft, not enough texture like bacon or ciabatta as a backdrop). I'll be back to try more!

I'll have to echo Alejandro O. in that they have THE BEST CROISSANTS. I lived in Paris for a year and have returned since, but I honestly don't think I've had as quality of a croissant as the one I had at La Fillette, which is astounding! The croissant is large, fluffy, crispy and flaky on the outside and oh so butter chewy on the inside. I got it as a breakfast sandwich with duck confit, gruyere, caramelized onions . . . orgasmic. I also got their almond croissant, which rivaled those of Paris as well. WOW. What an absolute gem!

I need this place in highlands ranch!!! We had the ham and cheese croissant and plain croissant. Nothing plain about these two pastries. Flaky, buttery and fresh so good!!! The place is sweet and cute and makes for a great neighborhood stop for breakfast or early brunch. We also got the berry and cream gallete but that's for dessert later!!!! out of the way but so worth it!! They have plenty to choice from in the way of wonderful creative pastries. You won't be disappointed.

Literally this food is so good it has brought tears to my eyes. That is not an exaggeration. Best croissants I've EVER had, their quiche is melt in your mouth amazing and you can taste the love put into making it. Reminds me of when my mom used to make homemade brunch on the weekends when I was a kid. If you havent tried this place you are missing out!

We’ve recently moved to Denver from Paris 5ème and we were skeptical at finding decent viennoiserie here but we’re happy to report the quality at la fillette is quite good - in fact better than some of the boulangerie-pâtisserie in Paris. The croissants are decent! They miss a bit on the butter quality but the feuilleté is spot on. The kouign-amann are especially good…

We came here just for coffee and pastries but I thought I'd grab something more substantial because we had a flight to catch. I got their BLT. It was the most beautiful sandwich I've ever seen. Toasted light flaky croissant with thick slabs of bacon and tomato with crispy iceberg lettuce. It was a hidden gem. Try it out. Got a potato soup to go with it and it was very creamy and tasty. Can you say perfect lunch?
My only gripe was that the girl at the counter was doing something wrong because she said my card had insufficient funds when I was able to use it fine without any problems

If you're looking for a ham and cheese croissant, look no further. I tried a plain croissant also but the ham and cheese croissant took the cake. Super flaky and crazy buttery and perfect amount of ham and cheese. They opened at 8:00am on Saturday when I went and when I arrived at 8:30am, there was already a line - a great sign. Definitely will be coming back for the great service and the yummy croissants.

Honestly some of the best croissants I've had outside of France. Stunningly layers, crispy, buttery perfection. My personal fav was the ham& cheese filled everything croissant (as someone who is a sucker for everything bagels this drew my eye immediately). Their kouign amann was also no slouch at all and totally worth grabbing. My 2.5yo covered himself in chocolate from the pain au chocolat. We also bought an olive loaf which was pretty darn delicious as well.
I will say the coffee left a lot to be desired for me - but I am not counting them as a coffee shop and their pastries

What a spot, was recommended this place by a friend who told me to order specific breakfast croissant sandwiches and they were amazing. The overall vibe of the place seems weird from the outside, just tucked into a strip of shops near a sports bar and a liquor store. I was confused but as soon as I got near the door the smell of fresh bread and butter hit my nose instantly. No real seating indoor, there may have been a back? But I missed that.
The food selection was awesome: lots of typical French bakery goods (quiche, croissants savory and dessert, baguette etc) which all seemed fresh because

YUM! What a gem and amazing brunch spot. I got their breakfast croissant and it blew me away. Super warm in the inside and flakey on the outside. I ordered this to-go and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't soggy by the time I got home. I'd definitely recommend building your own savory croissant here the next time you want a delicious breakfast!

I am not sure if we had an off day or the community expectations are low. The baguette was heavy, dense and sour. A baguette crust should crackle when squeezed with a balance of small and large holes. The one we bought did not have a proper rise and texture.
The almond croissant layers were crispy and flaky. Unfortunately there was so much almond paste which caused the layers to under bake and so much paste was inedible.
The worst offender of all was the galette. This poor pastry suffered from being under baked and soggy crust. There was very little taste in the dough and filling.
Certainly
