The main purpose of a home inspector is to help the home buyer better understand the systems of their home, discover defects in the home, and educate & direct the buyer towards their next steps in resolving the defects.
A home inspection is not a product - It's A Professional Service! Just like you, I am a price shopper. When it comes to purchasing product X, I want to buy product X for the lowest price possible. Unfortunately, home inspectors are not all created equal. Beware of the bargain home inspector or the price matcher - They Are Incompetent!
Gingles Inspections performs short term Radon tests for your convenience. We use a Continuous Radon Monitor to perform these short term tests. Short term Radon tests take 48 hours and the results are available at the conclusion of the test. Radon occurs naturally in our environment and comes from the decay of Uranium in rock and soil.
Gingles Inspections offers termite inspection documents as an additional service. Termites cause over $5 billion in property damage a year. Termites can be concealed within the structure for years before signs are present. Termites can find their way through the smallest hole, crevice or crack within the structure.
What is the purpose of a thermal imaging camera? A thermal imaging camera displays the infrared emitted from surfaces in a thermogram - in other words what you see in the display is the temperature of surfaces. When a thermal imaging camera is used, we are looking for anomalies. An anomaly that is revealed with a thermal imaging camera is a potential defect.

Alex was extremely helpful, professional, and knowledgeable.
I stopped by the house to take some measurements and he walked me thru several key concerns that would pop up on the report.
The report was incredibly in depth and gave me all the information I needed on the home AND more. I feel a lot better about my future investment.

Inspector was extremely thorough and gave numerous details about the home that I feel like other inspectors would have overlooked. The home I had inspected was outside of the service area for this inspector but he was still able to come out for a very small fee compared to other inspectors. The price for the quality of inspection you receive through Gingles is fantastic! Alex was very nice to work with and was very detailed. I am so happy that I decided to use Gingles Inspections in my home buying process!

My realtor stated I shouldn't get an inspection on my new construction, in my gut I knew that I should. I am so glad that we did! I'll give credit to them on the thorough inspection, gave great insight on some things. However, to criticize original construction as handyman quality seemed unwarranted seeing as how the house passed original inspection with flying colors. Lastly, as a seller I wasn't very happy with the mess that was left in my jet tub, footprints in my shower, and some of my kids toys thrown outside that were inside.

I highly recommend Gingles Inspections to anyone looking to buy a home in the KC area. My fiancee and I are first-time homebuyers, and Alex has inspected two properties for us this spring. My wife and I used Gingles Inspections earlier this summer while purchasing our new home. Alex was professional, very thorough, and made sure to walk my wife and I through the issues that he came across.
