All of our rooms have been recently renovated we installed new hardwood floors, new beds, lighting mattresses, and furniture. The rooms will have a clean and rustic/modern feel. The king rooms have portable Evaporative Air Coolers and the Cabin has air conditioning. San Juan Chalet is a great lodging alternative in the heart of Ouray, Colorado.
Less noise than a big hotel and more privacy than a B&B. We have 3 rental units to offer. San Juan Chalet has 2 spacious king hotel style rooms and 1 one bedroom cabin complete with a full kitchen and den. All of our rooms appointed San Juan Chalet is located just 1.5 blocks from main street. So you can walk to everything in Ouray even the Hot Springs!

We travel with our kid, so I value cleanliness more than anything else. The san juan chalet was super clean(I was so satisfied!) and there was everything we need(more than we need!). I was so happy to find the perfect accommodation for our family. If we come back Ouray again, we will definitely stay here!

More of an AirBnB experience than a hotel experience, but that works just as well in Ouray. My king suite had a really comfortable bed, nice balcony where I could hear the nearby creek, and nice accommodations in the bathroom. Super convenient to the whole town and the Perimeter Trail. The hosts are very responsive, too. Great place!

Lots of room, great kitchen with a freezer, stove, and good sink. The shower head is high enough for taller people with a higher water pressure. Their wifi is also good. The only problem we had was that the smoke detector was very sensitive. It went off two times when I was cooking. Other than that I'd recommend staying at this place compared to others in the area.

This is always my go to spot when I travel to Ouray. It is beautiful, newly renovated, and the managers are wonderful and accommodating. The location is perfect; walking distance to local dining, entertainment, and shopping yet just far enough off the main street to be quiet and private. This is the perfect vacation spot with the hot springs, all the outdoor activities, and the welcoming feel of a small mountain oasis.

Our 5-night stay in the upper king room at San Juan Chalet in Ouray was just about perfect. The room has been recently updated, including the bed and bedding. There is a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, mugs and glasses . We traveled with our Goldendoodle and this room afforded plenty of space for us and our large dog. There is a small balcony with limited mountain views, a small yard, picnic table and grill. The location in town is convenient to all shopping and dining. We walked down a block or two to the river each morning, where I had a cup of tea while sitting on a bench listening

This review is for The Cabin. It's a detached unit that easily sleeps 4 and has a small but complete kitchen. The interior is immaculately clean. The location is great. Sixth Ave is the center of town and the Chalet is just a block off of the busy Main Street and within hearing distance of the river. Both the Box Canyon and Cascade Falls are within walking distance. Plus, the owner and caretaker are gracious and available. We loved our visit and recommend The Cabin at San Juan Chalet. PS I didn't take any photos but I guarantee that the photos on the website are a good representation

Nice place although they are using older fluorescent lighting that takes a little time to warm up. The bed is comfortable but they do have an extremely small television that can barely be seen from the bed. Overall I would rent from them again. They did provide coffee and a refrigerator although no filters for the coffee machine.

Great cabin room. Since they allowed our dogs to stay, we'll be back whenever we are in Ouray. Very quiet, residential street. Only two blocks from everything. King bed is soooo comfortable and loved the little fridge for our leftovers and snacks from the grocery store. Rebecca was very nice and brought over a computer to tv cable, got us discounted tickets to the hot springs and asked if we needed anything to let her know.

We installed half our family in the entire San Juan Chalet during our wedding weekend as it's next door to the Secret Garden B&B, which was where everything was happening. The Chalet consisted of two spacious bedrooms, each with their own private baths and entrances, and a 3-person cabin.

This is a nice little place to stay. My cutie and I were coming to Ouray Colorado for the weekend and needed a dog friendly place to stay. The room we stayed in was downstairs, it was clean, a nice size, had a mini fridge, a microwave, and a small coffee pot. The bathroom was nice, clean and functional. Plus, its easy walking to Mouse's Coffee Shop, and all the restaurants on Main St. All in all, I would totally stay here again.
