Chipeta Solar Springs Resort is nestled among the San Juan and Cimmarron mountain ranges in the beautiful town of Ridgway, Colorado. Ridgway is centrally located between Montrose and Telluride, Colorado at the intersection of highways CO62 and US550. If you are flying in, driving time is 35 minutes from Montrose Airport (MTJ) in Montrose, Colorado and 80 minutes from Grand Junction Airport "Walker Field" located in Grand Junction, Colorado.
Chipeta offers two solar heated thermal pools, both centrally located in the courtyard of the resort with stunning views of the Cimarron and San Juan Mountain ranges. One of the pools is a tiled roman bath set at 103 degrees Fahrenheit and 10" x 14" in size. The larger of the two pools is a 16' X 60' lap pool, and heated to 85 degrees Fahrenheit in the winter.

The good: Beautiful location, nice facility.
The not so good: Uncomfortable bed, did not get room we reserved with view because of "maintenance reasons" told we got upgraded of room however who wants kitchen for a vacation? By the way it was obvious the room we booked was already occupied....huh? Told drinks in the lobby in the evening, coffee in the morning & neither were available, restaurant/bar closed for "maintenance reasons ". Told sidewalks would be maintained as they were icy...never happened.. Not likely to return for another visit especially given the price point for rooms.

This is one of our favorite places to stay. We checked in on on the 2nd of November. We got a couples massage that day we checked in. It was terrible. It was expensive. An it was too older ladies with cold hands. I paid them 20$ Tip totaling 300$ for a couple one hour massage. The lady seemed upset that I tipped 20$. If I was a great massage with people with strong hands I would of tipped 100$. Not worth it at all. Was really bummed out.

The gentlemen at the front desk were so helpful and lovely to chat with, the facility was beautiful, and the cafe was amazing. Unfortunately I made use of the on-site spa and the masseuse left me covered in bruises and took cash out of my wallet. Obviously I can't prove it, but I removed the cash I was going to use to tip prior to undressing and when my massage was over, my wallet went into a bag in the trunk of our car, and then into our house where it remained until several days later when I discovered the remainder of my cash had mysteriously disappeared. I would absolutely recommend this resort

Very off the path and rustic Southwest architecture. Hot tub just outside on our balcony. Nice restaurant and bar. The public Roman pool is delightful 😊 lots of small personal touches make this a great romantic getaway spot. Spa services available and just a 5 minute walk to the main street of beautiful Ridgeway Colorado. I will be making this place a frequent stop when I'm in the area ❤️

Rooms are not as advertised. Expected a private balcony or patio with hot tub; however we received a room that you had to step out your front door into the common area to access your patio/hot tub. We requested to switch and they were unable to accommodate. Room is not worth the money. We requested a refund and did not end up staying for our long awaited anniversary getaway.

We had a fantastic stay here. The staff was incredibly friendly and the room was very nice. The 4-person hot tub on our private deck was a nice touch. Sadly, I didn't have the time to take advantage of any of their spa services, but the breakfast food at the restaurant was very good. Coffee and tea were available for free in the lobby each morning.

The 4 corners restaurant at the Chipeta resort is perfect . From the atmosphere mountain views , to the live music, the customer service and the chefs meals are top notch. We can't say enough about the chef . He makes incredible meals . We had dinner and breakfast at the restaurant. He also walks around and checks on guests to see how everything is . He deserves a 5 star review just to himself.

I stayed at Chipeta Solar Springs Resort, 4 days and 3 nights, earlier this week. Upon arriving and checking out my room, I reported that the room was uncomfortably hot and I couldn’t locate the thermostat to adjust it. I was informed that there was no thermostat and that they were aware of the problem. It was suggested that I open the doors to… regulate the temperature inside. Well, I had to keep and sleep with the sliding glass door and a window open to cool the place down throughout my entire stay, which robbed me of my best rest, because of the outside noises, like neighbors talking

Quick check in, very nice staff. Our room was easy to find and we were happy with how clean the resort was. Our room was very warm and cozy, nice set up and updated. The hot tub on the deck was amazing and… clean. It was very quiet and we didn’t hear and neighbors. The beds are memory foam and very cozy. The breakfast was amazing, they have your normal continental breakfast items but also had freshly baked quiche and croissants, served with grapes, so delicious!!! We loved all the windows allowing natural light and all the beautiful plants in the dining area. We would definitely stay
