The best service in my 20 year history of buying eye wear. Had to buy a pair of mid-range glasses for both music and computer use, a tough requirement. Randy provided me just the right amount of information and help to make a great choice that satisfied all my criteria, including price. I could not be happier.
Dr. Goskowicz graduated from Stanford University and earned her medical degree from Washington University School of Medicine. She completed an internship at Mercy Hospital and residency in dermatology at UCSD's Medical Center, where she was Chief Resident. Passionate about furthering the field of dermatology, Dr. Goskowicz has served as the President for the San Diego Society of Dermatologic Surgery.
Dr. Crosby graduated with honors from Duke University. She earned an NIH-funded scholarship to the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston, where she completed medical and graduate school training. She earned a PhD in molecular and cellular patho-biology (with focus on inflammation and rheumatology).
Neeta Varshney, MD, is a board-certified comprehensive ophthalmologist trained in the diagnosis and treatment of eye disease. Dr. Varshney is an accomplished surgeon and enjoys using the latest technologies available to deliver the highest degree of care to her patients. She is committed to delivering the type of eye care that she would want for her own family.
Dr. Caldwell is a board-certified optometrist who became interested in health care at a very young age. He began his journey in high school where he was nominated to attend an elite summer course for young professionals and aspiring doctors, the National Youth Leadership Forum on Medicine hosted at UC Berkeley.

I have never in my life been treated so unprofessionally by a doctor. I feel violated, shocked and horrified.
I made an appointment with Dr. Christopher Crosby to have my moles checked. The nurse who saw me beforehand asked me if I was vaccinated, I answered her that I am not.
*Reason why: I have a history of severe allergic reactions to vaccines, anaphylaxis, painful lumps that form at injection sites and last for up to 24-36 months and some have been dangerously close to developing necrosis at injection site due to the lumps that form and don't heal. As a child my mother had doctors tell

My Dad saw Dr. Crosby because he developed scar tissue from cataracts surgery (Dr. Crosby did not perform the cataracts surgery and she said that the development of scar tissue is by chance and is very common). Anyways, she was quick to diagnose the issue and has a great bedside manner...she's straightforward, confident, and friendly.

Incredible. I can say with a high level of confidence that I received top notch quality of care from the physicians and their assistants.
Dr. Christopher Crosby is incredibly knowledgeable and explained my skin condition in great details and provided excellent care that completely eliminated my problem after a few sessions. I would like to add that my father has seen Dr. Michelle Crosby for his eyes and he was also very pleased with his treatment. Another important point to make is their great staff! Very professional, kind and caring. 5 stars from me.

I started going to this new office in December and just went back a second time. I love the needling treatments on my skin and close attention Jen has given me over the years from a previous office. I also received two Botox treatments from Dr Goskowics in which she was so attentive and explained everything in detail (which I love). I felt like they all went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable and happy with my treatments. Their pricing is fair and I didn't feel like I was being gauged. I'm looking forward to my next visit in February!!

Write a negative TRUE review of this establishment and they will reply with the same generic response that they give every yelper. "Please give us a call so we can discuss this privately". Well, I did just that...IMMEDIATELY after they replied to my comment.

This is actually the first Yelp review I have ever written. I felt compelled due to the level of high quality service I received from Kyle Vance. I'm new to prescription glasses after wearing readers for about 4 years. Coastal Skin and Eye was the 3rd place I visited to purchase my glasses. I continued to shop because the info. I was getting was confusing and the price was much higher than I expected. Kyle was patient and took the time to explain my options. His focus was on my vision quality and how the glasses looked cosmetically. His experience was obvious and his approach was clear

Just got my new Ray Ban wrap around prescription sun glasses from Coastal Skin and Eye and they are awesome. They have to be, because I mountain bike all the time and need just the right amount of polarized shading plus my prescription to avoid hitting obstacles on the trail and crashing. Anyway, Kyle really helped me pick out the perfect pair. He really knows his lenses and really helped me dial in my glasses for best trail performance. Thanks Kyle!

I went in for an eye exam. The technician conducting the exam made the process a breeze.
For the consult afterwards, I felt Michelle was a bit rude to some degree, however, she was very knowledgeable. After my eye exam, I was seen by Kyle. Kyle seemed to have 0 personality, and was very dull. Anyway, 1 week later, I pick up my glasses. When I got home, I realized that my frames were improperly adjusted (one side way higher than the other). Also, it seemed odd I did not get a breakdown of the the cost for my glasses, until I received my EOB. $200 for an AR coat I did not ask for seemed a bit steep

We went to see Dr Michelle Crosby and she was very thorough, patient and knowledgeable. She had amazing bedside manners too, addressed all our concerns and we couldn't have asked for a better ophthalmologist. The technician who did the eye examination prior to her was also very friendly, and thorough in his work. What gives this place a bad review then? It is the front desk receptionist. She was extremely unfriendly, could not even bring herself to smile. She did a poor job of scheduling as well, we were there for almost 2 hours as we had to wait on multiple occasions. This is an amazing ophthalmologist

Dr. Michelle Crosby is the Creme De La Creme of Ophthalmologist! She is extremely thorough, personable and takes the time to explain, educate and answer any and all questions as it relates to her exam and finding. I can honestly say I have NEVER had a better or more thorough routine eye exam.
Additionally, Kyle Vance, the licensed Option, is also a large part of the reason for my 5 star review. He is exceptional not only as a Licensed Optician that is clearly highly knowledgeable and well versed in the latest advances in lenses, but also in his relational skills. If there were more than 5 gold stars, Coastal Skin and Eye Institute would have them. I've had to wear glasses my entire life, for decades. Because of a complicated prescription, it's always been a challenge to find eye specialists and lab who could accommodate my vision needs. At Coastal Skin and Eye Institute, it was "one-stop-shopping."
