Services
When I went to college, I was sure I was going to major in Pre-Law or Criminal Justice. Turns out, it wasn't for me. During my second year of undergrad at St. Cloud State University, I joined a mentoring program to mentor young African American girls in high school in our local community. My experience serving during time time as a mentor created a shift that changed the trajectory that led me here.
Contact me to schedule an appointment if you find yourself struggling with anxiety-related issues. Together, we will work to identify the underlying causes of your anxiety. I will work with you to explore current thinking that may be contributing to your anxiety, explore new ways of thinking, and process identified coping skills to manage your anxiety.
Together, we will work to identify immediate safety concerns, and create a safety plan as needed. I will work with you in a safe space to identify some of the sources of your depression. Through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy approaches, we will identify and process negative thinking patterns that may be contributing to your mood.
Therapy can help you explore self acceptance, current roadblocks, reframe your thoughts and replace negative thoughts towards what you're going through to give you a new perspective on life changes. I offer life transition counseling and therapy in the Dallas area, as well as telehealth life transition counseling in Texas.
When life stressors are at an all time high, our spiritual life can take a toll when anxiety starts to kick in. It is easier to lean into the Word when life is going fine, but I find that in the midst of the trials, is when worry is best turned to worship. If your faith is important to you, I believe that it should also be a part of your healing.
