Services
RMHG is a multidisciplinary, full-service mental health clinic dedicated to the effective treatment of mental illness both acute and chronic as well as mild and severe. Historically, our clinic has existed for over thirty years and has had a child and family focus. We were pioneering the use of somatic therapies in younger patients before others.
Our clinic will close when Madison Public Schools close due to snow but not due to cold weather. Appointments are still primarily virtual at the present time. However, in-person appointments are now available; ask your provider if you'd like to arrange an in-person appointment. RMHG aspires to be a case managed clinic.

I've left multiple voicemails over the course of 3 weeks looking to become a new patient here through a therapist I previously saw when she was employed at a different clinic. I have not heard back from Regent at all, and regret the decision to transfer over as a patient here when I've just been hung out to dry.

Despite the knowledge that I am someone who withdraws when I go through stretches of having a low mood, my provider here (McKnight), dropped me as a client because of missed appointments over a several month span. While I understand their position and the need to have a client base that is consistent, I was hoping for a little leniency or even a warning, but I was very suddenly discarded with no warning. Despite the fact that I never had an overdue balance and was an otherwise model patient, I was unceremoniously dropped

I was not a fan of therapy, but therapist S. Robinson was simply amazing. (yes, the S stands for Super!) After a few initial sessions, my life changed with the perspectives and re-approach she suggested. Life - changing. She was reliable, relatable, and used her diverse background to step me through a process that gave me patience, helped me show more love, and equipped me with tool to help keep me calm, focused, & supportive during stressful times. I'm so thankful for S. Robinson.
K Olson was my assigned psychiatrist who adjusted meds to help control my reaction to stress. Very much

After meeting with a provider here, who apparently checked none of the records sent by my doctor's office, I was told that nothing was wrong with me, it was all in my head and that I needed to try harder to help myself. If you are actually in crisis and in need of help, avoid this place at all costs. You will not get any help, but instead receive blame from the so-called professionals who are unwilling to help.

I've been visiting here for about two years with no change in my condition. The doctors here are poor and to not listen to patients. I did not get the comprehensive treatment promised. I wasted thousands of dollars on visits and tests.
Kirk Olson in particular is very bad at what he does. He seemed to be guessing most of the time rather than actually giving helpful recommendations.
If you value your mental health, do not go to Regent. I would happily give them zero stars if that was possible.

I have been utilizing Brian McKnight on and off for five YEARS, as far back as when he was at Mental Health Solutions. Up until the last time we spoke, I felt like I had someone who finally understood me. I’m very high functioning for my condition. But when I’m low, it’s exceptionally low. I don’t have much emotional support in my life. So when I called him out for making me feel like I was inconvenient, I received an email with nothing but him turning the blame 100% to me. Thank you so much for contributing further to the destruction of my self worth! I tried apologizing and received no

I have been a patient of Regent Mental Health Group for many many years and Dr. Schaettle MD has been a savior and truly the most accomodating doctor I have had the pleasure to be seen by. She even sacrificed her weekend when I really needed her help. I don't know or have any negative experiences with the front desk staff that I see others have had, they are always timely with their responses and a pleasure to deal with. Thank you RMHG!

My therapist is great - caring, compassionate, has been helpful in getting me to move myself forward through difficult times. What would otherwise be a 5 star review is 3 stars because I find the reception staff unfriendly, at times borderline rude, especially when it's necessary to call in. Short, one word answers such as "Nope", when trying to schedule appointments 6 weeks out! It would be nice if they'd at least act like they were trying to be helpful knowing that wait times are long. Really dislike having to deal with them at all.

I went to the Dean Psychology Departments in Sun Prairie and Fish Hatchery and saw 3 different doctors and 2 separate therapists and they were all rude or not helpful (I even filed a formal complaint against the last one), so I finally went out of network and went to Regent Mental Health by a recommendation from my mom. They are super nice, helpful, they don't rush me, they offer constructive advice that works with me, and their schedules are flexible. I'm super glad I found them.
