Mental Health Solutions is committed to maintaining the health and safety of our patients, our employees, and our community during this difficult time. We are providing both In-Person and Telemedicine appointments for current and new patients. Please contact the clinic at least 24 hours BEFORE your scheduled appointment to inquire about in-person availability.

Not all providers offer in-person appointments every day. In accordance with Public Health Madison & Dane County recommendations, masks will be required for ALL individuals.
Services
To schedule a telemedicine appointment, please call our front desk at 608-829-1800 to speak with our administrative support staff. Health insurance plans vary widely. Please contact your health insurance plan or your employer's Human Resources Department to verify your benefits. Federal regulations require that you are physically located in the state of Wisconsin during your telemedicine appointment.
You may request a prescription refill by contacting our Medical Assistant, Kelly:608-829-1800, option 2. If you are requesting a refill for a Controlled Substance, please submit your request one week in advance to allow for processing. We ask that you no longer submit refill requests through the email: refills@mhsolutions.com, as we are phasing this out as an option.
Our Intake Coordinator and Billing Office are happy to answer questions about health insurance coverage. However, all policies vary and may have specific requirements or exclusions. Your best resource for eligibility is your health insurance company. It is each patient's responsibility to verify benefits and eligibility prior to scheduling an appointment to avoid unexpected costs.
Life and death situations top the list, just as in a physical emergency. If you have acted on suicidal impulses or are with a person who is actively threatening suicide or has already acted on suicidal feelings (poison, overdose, profuse bleeding, etc), call 911 and report your identity, your whereabouts, and the circumstances of your crisis.
Missed appointments prevent you from receiving required care and prevent your doctor or therapist from providing that care. They also prevent another person from receiving care during that time, which is set aside specifically for you. As a result, you will be financially responsible for any missed appointments not cancelled with at least 24 hours notice (emergency exceptions may apply).

If you want stress, anxiety, or to be ignored, this is the place for you! They never return phone calls. They always screw up medication and prescription orders and are impossible to get ahold of when you need them to fix their mistakes. So, if you feel like you don't already have enough angst in your life, this place will fill your tank.

Honestly, go elsewhere. Trying to set up an appointment is a joke, you can leave a million voicemails but they’ll never call back. If you do get an appointment forget about a reminder from them because it is not gonna happen. The rude woman in billing will be very happy to charge you once you miss the appointment however! Overall the people you have to deal with to get to your doctor are rude, they take forever to get back to you and make you wish you never went there. If it wasn’t for my doctor I would’ve stop going there a very long time ago. The staff is very unprofessional and doesn’t

This is such a wonderful place. Prior to covid, the eating area is always so clean and calming. Now with virtual appointments, the telemedicine process is super easy and convenient.
In general, the front desk people have always been very helpful and kind, and the two doctors I have seen for a few years are absolutely amazing!

My family hadn't seen our therapist in months. The therapist left and a new one was hired to take their place. I then received three separate calls to schedule an appoint. I did not return their calls and assumed that if I did not call that they would stop calling. Then today I received a text reminding me of an appointment that I did not not schedule or authorize. Basically, someone in that office scheduled an appoint with out me knowing. If I had not cancelled that appointment promptly, myself and my insurance would have been billed for that appointment. I don't know who is managing their office

I have seen Dr Kory Frey for over 10 years at three different mental health organizations. He is now a managing partner at Mental Health Solutions. He has impeccable credentials and is very kind and understanding. I trust him and that is what you need to build a good rapport with a mental health provider.

I have been going here for a while now and it's been nothing but great. Lauren Espie is amazing and has helped me immensely. Staff there has been really nice. Had a small rough patch when switching billing systems but everything worked out. I strongly suggest you go here if you need help. If one therapist doesn't work then try another. It's about matching styles of help with what you need. Best thing is to seek help.

You never speak to a real person. Instead of giving me a call they opted to email back and forth. When you call you get voicemail. If they have high volume then they should have more than one person to accommodate those they seek to help. Their current process adds too much time between pre-intake questions, the actual intake and then seeing a provider. I will update my post after I evaluate their customer service and the actual amount of time their process takes.

I had been a patient of MHS for about 2 years. Saw two people over there. The providers are skilled an excellent but the clinic management has made me leave. I got a call that one of the providers was no longer with the clinic and the earliest appointment was more than a month out to establish with a new one. I asked multiple times to see someone and the best I was given was 5 days sooner. After having my care put on hold for over two months I will not be returning. It has been a mess and depending on who takes the call I will get different information. The providers are great but the rest has

Can't speak on the the clinical staff as I was unable to schedule an appointment here after a week of making 5 attempts to contact the "intake" person. Called on Monday and tried to speak with reception but was spoken over quickly sent to a voicemail of the intake person and informed she only worked M-F from 9-1. The voicemail instructs the customer "if you have already left a message don't leave another one" which was the first clue of how the week was going to go. Did not hear from anyone for 2 days so called back Wednesday midday. Shortly after, received a call

I saw two different therapists here at different points of my life. My first experience I got nothing out of but didn't know any better. My therapist said she was leaving to take another job and I just stopped going to therapy because it seemed so pointless. Later in life, I tried another therapist here. It ended disastrously. I was terminated by my therapist. Extremely traumatic. I first found out by calling the office reception and was told all my appointments were cancelled. I was not allowed a final session with my therapist for closure. The person who called me back when I said

Dr. Jack Sherman should have 5 stars. The rest of the practice is between ok and down right unprofessional. I left the practice after the new billing person presented false facts than instead of apologizing tried to make excuses. This caused an argument when the fact of the matter is i expressed complete understanding of my financial responsibility if i chose to be seen but the office staff continued to argue and throw in unrelated matters like " but you owe almost 200 in copays already' me " what, I have never recieved a bill" 5 minutes later i arrived in people and got
