My dad was there twice, unfortunately. The last time he sadly was placed on hospice and passed away there. The entire team was awesome, attentive, and caring. We were with him for 7 days/nights and we were grateful for the staff. Everyone was so kind. Barry imparticular was quite incredible helping us with prayers and was there when he passed and made it very easy for us.

My father is currently at Long Beach after experiencing a hemorrhagic stroke. The care he is receiving there is beyond excellent. The entire staff there from the front desk to the nurses are so attentive, caring and sweet. My dad has been in and out of rehabs for the past 6 years for different reasons and this rehab is by far the best.
Even though the entire staff is really wonderful, there are two people that really have went above and beyond. Before my dad was even transferred from the hospital, Nicole from Admissions reached out to me. I was an emotional basket case due to the condition of

My grandfather was here following a stroke. After a few weeks of being there on a Wednesday a family member noticed his breathing was labored. This family member told the nurses and they said it would be taken care of. The next morning at 9:00 am we got a call saying they noticed my grandfather having labored breathing at 5:30 am that morning. After we’ve arrived a family member asked for them to give him a nebulizer. They said we can see if we have or maybe we will get one in the afternoon. Then they called an ambulance, once the paramedics came , they saw with an instant by looking at him that

Both of our aunts were there for a long period of time. The nursing care was superb and the energy there is so great. It is immaculate. There is excellent communication with staff and administrators and if there are any issue it would be taken care of. It is also a secure facility. I would refer friends and families there if needed

Pay attention to reviews from actual residents. Family and friends do not have the same knowledge. Especially when they can't spend considerable time in the actual room to get a feel for it.
The positives: the women in administration for sub-acute rehab went above and beyond. Overall the staff were helpful and kind. Very friendly. I suspect the nursing and CNA positions should have more staff.
I loved having a single room. The view was spectacular.
Negatives: it was more nursing home than sub acute rehab in my opinion. There was more than one patient who hollered all late afternoon and evening

If you care one ounce for your loved one do not consider this facility. My sister was walking when she enter and was transferred today by ambulance to save her life from these incompetent and uncaring staff. DO NOT use this place. The good nurses and aides have left to find jobs elsewhere. They run out of supplies weekly. They leave patients in the own waste for hours. The medical staff is questionable on talent at best. The Administrator was just replaced. You will be reading about Long Beach Nursing and Rehad Center for such bad care and death rate from Covid. Stay away from this dump.
