Sydney Hughes MD is a Graduate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City and is Board Certified in Addiction Medicine. He is currently Attending Physician at Mercy Medical Center's emergency department in Rockville Centre, NY.
He first opened the doors of Long Island Detox in 2006 because a large vacuum existed on the south shore of Nassau County Long Island in the area of outpatient alcohol and drug detoxification programs.He believed Long Island detox could help fill that void and provide a valuable service to the community and those residents that needed help but not the type of help that involved confinement to a medical facility.
