Alignment Yoga
I invite you to join my new Mindful Cardio Community. It's designed to help us all stay active and connected. If you attend any Mindful Cardio class, you'll be invited to join our online community, including regular Q&A sessions over Zoom, a 24/7 members forum as well as Strava workout club. I began studying meditation in 1982 and teaching yoga in 1989.

Initially my motives were driven by athletics - I desired a calmer mind to better focus on my high jumping. The guided meditations I listened to on cassette-tape helped enormously, and I went on to have a successful athletic career at The University of Minnesota. I was drawn to asana similarly. The relentless athletic training took a toll on my body, and I desired something to regain wholeness.

The intersection of mind and body: 30+ years of teaching and 5+ years of doctoral work inform every class, workshop and session that I offer. Whether we work together online or in-person, I'm excited to get to know you better and learn how we can collaborate in meeting your wellness goals. Please check out the various online classes I offer in partnership with Pilates on Harrison, including Mindful Cardio.
A healthy and strong body is a joy to inhabit, and can power your capacity to be the change that you wish to see in the world. My decades of daily Yoga practice, combined with a grounded knowledge of exercise physiology and meditation, helps me share Movement Lab with a wide variety of people.

Classical Pilates is a smart and anatomically-informed exercise program that improves participants' overall physical health, strengthening and stretching the body in a well-aligned and efficient way.Over the past few years, my personal practice has shifted from away from Yoga and towards Pilates.
