I've been a Velocity credit union member for over 15 years, and I'll never go anywhere else. The staff are friendly, all of my transactions are processed in a timely manner, and if there is a mistake, I can talk to a real person to help me quickly resolve the matter. The customer service is top notch, even when they are short handed like everyone else.

I recently had fraudulent charges made from my debit account. All of the charges were removed from my account, except one that is still pending a week later.
All of the charges were in a different state, that I’ve actually never been to. They were made on the same day at the same establishment. But only 1 charge is being held when they others were deemed legitimate and removed from my account. This makes no sense.

1st of all I really wish they would get a South Austin location I've been loyal to this bank for years but it's getting really old having to take half A-day off to drive all the way out to North Austin to do my banking having said that the lobby is open now and I got everything that I need ed they were a bit slow but definitely friendly and helpful

I am in the customer service business and this is by far the worst place I have ever been treated. The last person I talked to hung up on me. Never raised my voice and never got mad, she just got frustrated bc she didn't know some answers. I believe her name was Kayla. This is not the first time I have had issues with the CU. If you want to feel like a human being, go elsewhere. This is my first review to ever write so you know it's bad. I will take my money elsewhere.

I've been a member for about 40 years (since before they changed their name to Velocity). I don't understand the bad reviews. I've always had wonderful experiences with them. No problem with any of the apps or with any in person services. Sometimes it can be busy at the branch offices but that's because it's a great credit union.

I opened an account with Velocity in May. The experience was a little bumpy, but I understood given the Covid situation. This week I decided to add another product. First, to apply, I needed my account number. I logged into my online account and followed the instructions in the help section, but for “my security” the account number isn’t listed in my own online account. I spent about three hours of my day trying to reach someone to get my account number because the rep on the secure chat told me she couldn’t provide it. After spending an hour in the drive thru line 3 times in a row, I’ve decided this is the most poorly adapted, badly managed branch that I’ve ever experienced. Hire some more tellers or be more expeditious in transactions. My transactions never take but a few minutes, so I don’t understand. They get one extra star for giving my dog a biscuit every time.

This is probably the worst bank I have EVER used. If you want to know how much money you have do not use this bank. The app has been down for 4 months, if I want to check how much money I have I have to pay to check at an atm if it isn't theirs. That is to be expected if your statement checking system is running, but theirs never is. Their customer service is awful, I sat on the phone for 2 hours before I spoke with a representative and he was very rude and not helpful at all. I make over 100k a year and wasn't approved for a small personal loan, everyone that works there is rude. I stuck

This bank has no compassion for human life. My fiancé lost his job and couldn't pay a loan payment. Instead of calling us to ask us about the issues they closed his account with no notice. Then 4 months later when he deposited his first paycheck into our joint account they took it all. I am totally aware that we owed them money and they had the right to take that loan payment, but how they came about it was wrong. I've been a member for about 6 years now. I'm a stickler for customer service and their staff stands out from the crowd. Applied for my loan over the phone, emailed in my documentation, and was approved the the same day. They offered me to close at any of their locations, and it's all done virtually with a monitor and camera system. Easy and done in minutes.

Over the last 5 years I've been with this institution they've messed up so many transactions. Customer service is atrocious. When calling in to ask questions they give wrong answers and when that results in penalties they simply state that they customer should have researched it properly, They have no ownership of their mistakes and are extremely combative. I've cancelled my relationship with them.

I don't care for their internal customer service.. The service at the branch is great...always has been..but when u have to call.. Its horrendous. They could definitely use better customer service skills. Too bad I have a loan with them.. But no more when I'm done!
