The DPS credit union is a great place when it comes to holding/handling your funds. Going in person is always a pleasant time, they’re always there to help you right then and there. But when it comes to on the phone, the customer service lacks communication and full transparency. When requesting documents and trying to hear back about the confirmation about them, you can go ahead and assume they will not call you back. The supervisor there is hardly there to assist customers as well. So if you’re trying to look for a credit Union to enroll yourself in, go ahead and look elsewhere. On top of

This credit union is not the same as it use to be. Employees do not tell you if you are being put on hold, just an abrupt end to converstations... the credit card "department" is not accurate at all in information provided. Playing phone tag for an hour or a day is not how I want to spend my time. Also, the lack of phone security is concerning...now days any person can get your social or date of birth, they ask nothing more to then send out your account number on documents, they don't verify email addresses before sending either. My other financial institutions verify way more to ensure accounts

I have been banking with Dpscu since 1991, today I'm saddened to say was Not a good experience. I attempted to do an e-check deposit for hours yesterday, only to call and be told system down, then I physically take check to deposit or cash only to be told they cannot do either do to being endorsed for mobile deposit, which is still not working properly. Terrible customer service today, Kim.

Been a member for a decade but this place seems to be going downhill. Today went to drive through and I was the only person at the drive through. Took them about 5 minutes to answer me when I pushed the button and then about another 10 minutes once the tube took the cylinder inside. I parked my car and went in to ask why it took so long and they had one girl working all three drive in lanes as well as handling all the walk in customers. Poor management practices and one that might cost them this customer!. Edited today 7/9/2019 they seem to have made improvements now in the drive through situation

I am totally fed up with big banks! I don't have the big bucks so I'm treated like a step-child. I won't mentioned any names but the last bank to mistreat me broke the camel's back. I'm tired of 'CHASING' rainbows! Because my credit doesn't have a branch in Austin, TX, I've been utilizing shared banking with Texas DPS Credit Union, the staff there are super friendly and helpful so I decided to open an account there in order to get a safe deposit box. I'm giving two stars and not one only because of the wonderful tellers they have employed. Would only give one based on experience have had with trying to resolve an issue related to shared banking with another credit union. Deposit made with cashiers checks but funds were put on hold unbeknownst to me. Items presented to my account and caused an overdraft. After calling first thing to rectify once we noticed, TDPS supervisor was not willing to credit any fees, not their fault. Well wasn't our fault either. Poor customer service in that regard. Moving our money elsewhere.
