The Kaizen Method
A big part of The Kaizen Method's philosophy is: to learn is to do. Learning a new skill, learning new habits, or learning how to improve upon what you've already accomplished, is achieved by practice. Practice comes with failure until we succeed. We are here to teach, support, guide, motivate, and provide all the tools each student of movement needs to guarantee success!

The Kaizen Method has proven results! There is no, one right way to achieve your goals. Even if they are the same goals as others! Our programming is created specifically for you based on your history, current health, and future goals. Balance is key to symmetry. Building blocks is key to improvement.
Services
It all began after graduating from San Francisco State University with a BS in Kinesiology and a focus of exercise and science movement. Since then, I have been a personal trainer for nearly a decade and have acquired more than 10 certifications through continuing my education and participating as a student of strength.

I started seeing Christina after suffering a hip injury that left me unable to walk without a significant limp. Christina and I met three days a week over Zoom and she worked miracles on me! She showed me techniques for stretching and moving my body to improve stance and posture and by then end of three weeks I was running again!
After we finished the physical therapy aspect of our training we moved onto full body training which completely changed my body shape and strength level! Most of our sessions were on Zoom which was perfect and I still felt like I got the training I needed and nothing

We hired Christina to teach our 2 daughters (4 & 5 years old) how to swim and she has been amazing! We tried tried swim lessons two other places previously and I was pretty disappointed with the results.. especially now comparing those lessons to the ones Christina provides for our girls! Christina is so patient with their fears of the water but also does an excellent job pushing them to still try their best, my husband and I have been completely impressed with her approach! I would definitely recommend Christina for swim lessons and I'm sure she just as amazing in her personal training

Christina's virtual training is great! I was lucky enough to find Christina in the middle of the pandemic lockdown and get my training remotely. She's been able to listen too all my needs and goals to really create a game plan toward achieving them! I have some back issues that I've dealt with for some time and has really helped me develop strength in my core. I like that I can explain anything my body is feeling as it can help her modify the movements to make sure I get the most out of every session!

Christina is the ultimate trainer. I've been working out with a variety of trainers for 22 years now, and no one has come close to Christina's league. I was lucky enough to work out with her in person pre-pandemic - the fitness and boxing training sessions I had with her were always top notch - and now I work out with her virtually during the ongoing pandemic. She hasn't missed a beat with me. She knows exactly how far to push me to get every ounce of work from my muscles, and has also helped me manage a chronic back issue that even some chiropractics haven't been able to figure

Christina is amazing! A few months ago I injured my hip from overuse and was limping. I had seen multiple doctors and was about to have a cortisone shot when I decided to try the Kaizen Method. Within 1 week I stopped limping, in 2 weeks I was walking long distance and in a month I was running again. I haven't stopped training since and she has helped me lose almost 10 lbs and my body looks amazing! I cannot recommend this enough!

Christina is a once in a lifetime coach. Not only is her knowledge of swimming vast, but she does a great job in communicating the technique in such a way that pushes me to improve but also is not intimidating or overwhelming. She personalizes her lessons in a way that is specifically tailored to each student, and I knew she would always take me to the next step of my own swimming journey and not according to a one-size-fits all approach. On a human level, she's got an amazing sense of humor and is a joy to be around. Thanks coach for helping me grow!

Christina is a fantastic trainer! I worked with her over the course of a year to rebuild strength and mobility after a herniated disc injury. She made me feel comfortable working out again and lifting weights. She was able to design a program that gave me a challenging work out while helping me heal fast. In our most recent sessions she taught me how to safely lift heavy and gave me a series of warm up exercises called animal flow that I use all the time now. She's fun, caring, and very approachable. I worked with Christina for 9 months in SF before she moved (boo hoo) to San Diego. As a physician, I most appreciated her exquisite understanding of anatomy and body mechanics...frankly, better than I've yet encountered with physical therapists with whom I've worked. I have been working with Christina for 7 months now and couldn't be happier!
I have always eaten well and taken care of myself, but I wanted to really dial in my overall core strength, mobility and flexibility. My first consultation with Christina was very enlightening/educational and fun! Since we began I have pushed through a few physical/mental plateaus with Christina's teachings and motivations.

Christina Bray is the best. She helped me learn how to swim properly as I am training for my first triathlon. From being unable to swim 50m my first session, in less than three months I am able to swim 1600m. I quickly hit and exceeded my training goals with Christina's help. She was specific, helpful, hands on and demanding in all the right ways that pushed me as an athlete and a person. Her communication via text and phone were also really supportive as well.
