Mama's Royal Cafe

Awesome breakfast place, just found out by chance. We wanted to dine at Brenda's but glad they were full and we search for another breakfast place and got Mama's Royal cafe.
Best hot chocolate in the town, awesome egg Florentine and top quality rest of the breakfast items.

We have come to Mama's Royal Cafe a couple of times now and we always have had a great experience and the food is delicious! We always bring our friends or family to enjoy the meal with us and we have never had any complaints.

We've tried the Huevos Rancheros, Croque Madame, Omelettes, French Toast, Pancakes, Combo (meal with eggs, choice of meat, etc.), Corn Beef Hash, etc. Everything is so delicious and filling and a great deal for the price.

It's a cute little restaurant that has the best diner food and extensive options for everyone to choose from. We will definitely be back

Ok, this place was closed for a while because of Covid but my boyfriend ranted and rave about it. So finally on a Saturday afternoon around 2 o'clock he took me over there right before they closed we ordered some tea, he had the eggs Benedict, and I ordered a turkey club. And it was by far the best turkey club that I have ever had the portion size was nice the ingredients were good the turkey tasted fresh the bacon was crispy! The house potatoes were amazing too! The shorter white male server with tattoos provided the rudest service I can remember: no greeting or pleasantries, spoke in a short and annoyed tone throughout our exchanges, and made the couple substitutions I requested seem like a huge deal.

Happily taking my business elsewhere from now on.

We have gone here for years, with little kids, solo, etc. We repeatedly get the corned beef hash or daily specials. The service is always friendly and efficient. Good coffee, which they keep filled. Glad to see they weathered the pandemic, one visit since the closures and they have kept up the quality.

I am giving this place 5 stars for one main reason: they know how to make an egg over-medium. I have been ordering eggs this way for decades and this is the first place that got it right! If they can do that, then I'm sure they can make your eggs perfectly any which way you order them.

I also got pancakes, bacon and a side of home fried potatoes. Pancakes were fluffy and had crispy edges. Bacon was thick but still had a crunch. I really enjoyed the potatoes. I typically prefer hash browns, but these potatoes come extra crispy with chives and sour cream. Considering I always ask for my hash

I thought this got a good review on check please but I need to look into that. My friend and I went in today and I ordered a patty melt and she ordered a grilled cheese sandwich. The sandwiches were beyond basic. Her sandwich had a slice of cheese a tomato and that was it. My patty melt had ground beef but only about three slivers of onion and barely any cheese. It came with a fruit salad which was too tiny Plastic containers of grapes and pieces of watermelon. It was lame to say the least. I will never go there again

A breakfast spot, a place that's been in business 46+ years. Tomatoe & Goat cheese omelet, pancakes are a hit, Eggs bendict, catfish sandwich. the atmosphere is old fashion. ache orange French toast. Thin waffles. Muffins are Scone like [banana]. Drinks, mimosa's are good. a diner place. $25

Went for the first time last weekend and had an amazing breakfast!

Absolutely devoured the French toasts - they were soooo good!!! Their orange juice is freshly squeezed (they literally squeezed it after I ordered) and very delicious. My partner's bacon benedict dish was great also. Friendly staff, great food, will definitely be back.

The only thing that bothered me was the occasional bleach smell coming from something (maybe the floor or tables after being cleaned) - but understand they want to keep everything sanitary especially during covid times..

My favorite breakfast spot in the neighborhood! They make excellent classics and use fresh local ingredients. I especially love their potatoes which are made with green onions and eaten with sour cream and the breakfast sausage. Their service is also very warm and friendly and feels like a real local joint.

Awesome breakfast with a family style service. We each got the short stack (one with blueberries) combos. Toss in maple syrup and grits and we were all set. Aside from charging my card for someone's more expensive order things were great. A quick reversal and apology and all was well.

I heard this place serves good break fast and it sure does and huge breakfast menu.
I ordered a simple pancake set - very fluffy pancakes, not over cooked scramble egg , crunchy bacon - almost perfect.
Also my caffe latte is very flavorful ( and it was Huge! )
Well, Far from trendy , fancy cafe and seats are small ... but if you want to have a good breakfast, try this place !

OMG, this restaurant was recommended by my family and it was GREAT. The portions are enough for two or. The hamburger stayed Fresh from our drive home from Oakland to Santa Rosa. Definitely will be returning.

I love this restaurant because of how inclusive they are w/ vegans. I get the (tofu) veggie joe --I don't know any other place that offers vegan sausages so I look forward to eating breakfast here

2/5 The tofu scramble is bland, needs a lot of flavor. I think some black salt and turmeric would help it out a lot. I had to add the salt and pepper they included

I feel like if they just left the vegan sausage links whole and added more flavor to the tofu scramble then it would be perfect.

Highly recommend! Got takeout and couldn't have been more pleased. We ordered over the phone so the restaurant didn't have to pay grubhub fees. Our food was ready so fast. Not only was our food delicious as it always had been in the past when we dined in, but they remembered every single detail, down to the hot sauce ketchup, butter, jelly, napkins etc. We got the Veggie Joe and love that it has chopped up Morning Star sausages.

Opens at 8. First ones here. Feels just like it is , a small cafe. The booths had old small music box,vintage style, but unfortunately not working . We ordered eggs Blackstone and veggie joe. Coffee was a little strong, but good. Great service. Prices are what you'd expect in the Bay. A little high. Food was very good and filling.

Why am I the last to know??? Did this restaurant change ownership??? One of my favorite dishes is the Huevos rancheros from this restaurant. But it is utterly disgusting today! Celery has no place in black beans. Especially not huge chunks! The salsa even had carrots! This is new. They were huge chunks of onions in the eggs. I believe I had maybe half a white onion in my eggs. And the tomatoes were stewed! Did I miss something? Why did this change? Such a shame! Not the way to start the morning!

If you know me yet you know I'm a sucka for great customer service, and the people that worked here, were awesome. Walked in and within about two minutes a older gentlemen asked me "have you been served yet" I said "No I just walked in" and he immediately hopped on it. This has nothing to do with instant gratification, but everything to do with owners and employees honoring the job and usually it's contagious from the top to the bottom so food has a tendency to be better.
