Great area, staff, and amenities but way too expensive.
Very close to beaches, shopping, schools, downtonwn but there are cheaper options in the area. The front office has been extremely friendly and helpful e.g. my car died and one of the staff members (Dayton) drove me to my car to jump it. Overall very happy about living at Circa37. The vibe is good. It feels very residential and the quality of the apt is pretty okay. However, 4 stars because as the demand for rental homes increases and the price goes up so should the quality of service and i dont see that. Whether residents pay 2800$ or 3500

You will be disappointed. It was nice when we first moved in, but it's been going downhill. I can't wait until the lease is up.
**Noise**
I've lived downtown and in Pacific Beach, both of which come with an expectation of noise. When we moved to Mission Valley, I expected it to be much quieter, but this place is louder than both downtown or PB.
Outside of the apartment, you have neighbors who do not have any concept that there are other people living here. You'll have your fair share of early 20's screaming at 2am on a Tuesday morning.
Inside the apartment, you can

Giving it a 1because the area is nice but there's so many issues with my home... I live on ground floor and for the past year and a half all I hear is my upstairs neighbor, talking, stomping, sneezing, and moving furniture idk if the walls are so thin but I am so ready to move. My walls in the bathroom and kitchen have these yellow stains coming from room to floor. The painting work that was done was extremely messy there's paint on the flooring splattered so it looks like your floors need to be swept all the time. My dryer has a weird smell when it's being used called maintenance

Overall a great apartment complex leasing and property staff and maintenance the only big complaint I have is you can hear the 3rd floor of the complex down on the 1st floor. Nice community amenities etc. Just disappointing I heat my neighbors doors open and close and furniture being moved or a heavy walker walking from the 3rd floor when I'm on the ground level. With all other issues I've had the staff has done a good job addressing and resolving any problems or issues maintenance is also very good here as well.

The apartments are good but the community here is great. It honestly doesn't feel like normal apartments where no one knows eachother. The lifestyle coordinator, Sam, is AMAZING and plans fun and family friendly events. She is why we re-upped our lease. From the events to the treats she gives out we truly feel spoiled because of her.

I moved into my 1bedroom apartment April 2021. I moved from Utah, and from the minute I spoke with Vanessa in the leasing office, she's been nothing but a superb help to me! She sent me photos of the place when I was away. She gave me a tour when I stopped in without a scheduled appt. She is always helpful and friendly. I also travel often for work so she makes sure my packages are well taken care of. She has made my experience seamless. The property has great amenities and I love being able to share the amenities with the other properties. The location is fantastic and I also have a garage

I just want to thank Sandra for diligently working with the manager to get our vehicle moved before getting it towed. I had forgotten about the slurry seal today and and if it wasn't for her call I would have to pay to get my car back. So glad I registered my new car when I got it. Thank you for making this a nicer place to live.

I’ve lived all around San Diego and Circa 37 is my favorite place I’ve lived so far. The property is beautiful, the amenities are amazing, and the property management team is very helpful. If you’re wanting to know more, ask for Dayton. He was extremely resourceful and answered a lot of questions that I had today. I’ll be renewing my lease for sure!

We were looking desperately for an apartment for our daughter... We got lucky and found Circa 37. What a gorgeous place.. BUT the thing that convinced us what the incredible attention we got from Vanessa Hernandez @ the sales office... She was amazing, and her attention to detail was one of the defining factors why we chose Circa 37.

I've lived at Circa 37 for about 2 years now. Really nice pool and hip sky lounge. The maintenance team is excellent and Sam May (lifestyle events coordinator) does a great job coordinating fun and inclusive events! I also appreciate that they provided vegan options at the last event. Shout out to Georgia who was wonderful to work with, but recently got moved over to West Park! Really beautiful and well-kept grounds with lots of trees and grass/plants, but the downside to that is a loud and annoying leaf-blower outside my windows 6 days/week. Otherwise, really nice and mostly peaceful apartment

Pricing on units is a little high but you get that back in the amenities offered. Was surprised once the Covid restrictions were lifted what I could use between Circa and the two sister complexes (West Park and Purl). Access to 2 gyms, 6 pools and hot tubs, and 6+ lounge areas to name a few. Moved in Summer of 2020 and have no plans to leave outside of buying a home in the area. Great location in San Diego in relation to 15-30 min from everything without living in downtown. Public park is gorgeous and access to public elementary school (SD Unified) for the kids in 2022.

Just moved in and so far it's been amazing here! Our apartment is nearly perfect, and anything it lacks the maintenance people quickly help us with. Vanessa has also been incredibly helpful in helping us get settled and answering all of our questions! In general, I must say this is a lovely place to live :)

I lived in circa 37 for 2 years and would like to share my experience with future tenants who consider to live. Things had changes since CoVid and the management changed as well.
I will start with advantages:
Close to shops and good location specially who commute using highway 15/805 south or 8 east.
Nice pool and a lot of activities in civita park and neighborhood.
Disadvantage:
Car break and burglar
Dirty jacuzzi
Maintenance takes few days to respond
The current management is not honest and manipulative and I will mention why.
I was charged for move out paint fees by using false claim. They

Thought I would make a special shout out for the maintenance man Ivan who is newly hired but has gone above and beyond!! His work is always top notch in the apartment and he's so respectful! I've had a couple of heavy packages ordered to the wrong building and he's always been more than willing to help me get it to my door! One last thing a couple of times I've had some spare cardboard boxes near my garage and he has helped me take those to the trash as well.... it's small details like this that really go along way! This property management team is awesome!

This complex has been my home for a year and a half and the upstairs neighbors are SO loud and constantly dragging furniture and having company over. The office doesn't do anything about it but a mere phone call to inquire their noise. Honestly my husband and I are HIGHLY considering moving within the next few weeks because it's so awful. Choose wisely FIRST FLOOR apartment lovers.

****Potential Renter Beware of Future Move Out Charges******
Things at Circa37 were pretty pleasant for most of our stay, and I will put a pros and cons list at the bottom to give you an idea, but the move out process is where I feel Circa's management is taking advantage of people by charging them fees for painting when it's included in normal wear and tear because of that I had to give them a low rating because it's just not right to try and take advantage of people.
The issue is I was charged $152.78 for painting, one of Circa's management team Margo, told me that the paint

My wife and I recently went on a tour of Circa 37, and while we eventually decided to choose a different residence, we were very impressed with what we saw and with the experience of our tour.
Circa 37 is a very nice apartment complex. The grounds are clean and charming. The few people we saw all looked like the kind of neighbors you'd like to live with - professional yet fun. There is an apartment complex next door with much larger, hotel-like buildings, called West Park It turns out the two apartment complexes are partners and you can use the extensive facilities at West Park as a resident
