Really enjoyable meal as a part of restaurant week. Wasn't sure about tomato bisque, but it was truly delicious. The remainder of the meal was also very good. The service was excellent

Food was amazing dessert was amazing cheesecake is a must have now this is a item worth sharing as it's a pretty big slice

This place needs more press as it's outstanding. Try the chix fried spouts or tuna tartar to start then the short ribs or piccata to have an excellent dinner. Great wine menu.

Visited with a friend from out of town who visits frequently when he is here on business.
We sat at the bar, the bartender was friendly and very sociable. We each had a cocktail. Mine was a coffee flavored martini and it was amazing! I really wish I had paid more attention to the ingredients.
The atmosphere is quiet with low lighting, making it nice for having conversation over dinner.
The menu was different. A lot of things I've never seen or heard of before. The food we got was delicious. Appetizer, salad and entrée were all amazing and came out with enough time in between to let some settle

Excellent cocktail, beer and wine selection. Favorite Appetizers are fried brussel sprouts and flat bread. Stand out entrees are the pork chop and short ribs! Awesome bread service and desserts! Michelle our server was great and very knowledgeable about the menu! Vibrant and busy restaurant with a really cool bar!

Atmosphere is great. Service is quick and they are on top of it. The bread is absolutely fantastic and a must order. Main dishes were fine. The pork chop was a bit dry and they don't offer different cooking levels like medium, or medium well for it.

Excellent experience. We sat on patio in beautiful weather but did get a bit chilly..... right about the time they turned on the heaters, perfect. The food, amazing. Brisket burger special, White Cheese Pizza, Salmon, all great. Desserts. Let's talk about the PORTIONS. Cheesecake O' the Day, chocolate, chocolate, and espresso. Brownie, and ice cream, finished us off.

When we think about celebrations, Grand Street Cafe in Lenexa is always our first option and it never disappoints. This was the second event hosted there and we hope for more in the future. Service was delightful and very professional. The food was as equally delicious as it was beautiful, from apps to desserts. If you want to be totally hands-off the space is beautiful as is, the best in KC, but if you want to add your own touches, they are more than accommodating and make it so easy to work with them and are well priced when comparing to other venues. Had a great dinner with a party of nine. The restaurant is lovely inside, very suitable for a romantic evening, nice business function, or special occasion. Food was served hot and beautifully presented. I had the cornmeal encrusted trout and it was delicious. One couple shared a dish and it was thoughtfully split and nicely plated on separate plates before it arrived. We had several desserts to share (creme brulee, phyllo wrapped brownie, and the peanut butter chocolate cake) and I honestly could not say which one I would get again if I had to choose as they were all excellent. The first time I went here we had the salmon artichoke dip and the salmon salad, it was tasty! The service was really good and the drinks with the day shift bartender were nice! The atmosphere is also nice and welcoming. I've now tried this place a few times but it hasn't been that good since. I can't say I'd recommend this place because it is inconsistent. The drinks are not balanced, the service could be better, the food could taste better.

I don't come here often, but when I do I always have great service. Michael is attentive and friendly!! The food is pretty good, we had the street tacos, pimento cheese + chips, fried chicken sandwich and a couple kids grilled cheeses. Everything was great, I will have to make it more of a regular spot.

Wonderful lunch. Super attentive service. Love the pretzels and fondue. Pastrami sandwich was perfect. Hand crafted chips were a bit stale. Old Fashion was best I have had in a while. My wive loved the strawberry jalapeño drink. Spicy!

My friends and I ate brunch here after a girls weekend at a nearby hotel. We walked in and the hostess was extremely rude and did not even take the time to greet us, let alone make eye contact with us or smile. Once we told her we had a reservation, she grudgingly showed us to our table. Our friend arrived a few minutes after us and she was also rude to her and refused to even show here where we were sitting so she could join us. She just pointed to the back of the restaurant. This is one of our favorite date night restaurants. I love the steak, and my favorite item in the menu is the chicken fried Brussels sprouts. The soups and salads are amazing as well. Go try it out, the atmosphere is lovely as well.

Hidden gem in Kansas City. The food and service is always good. Weekend brunch is an easy decision as many other places are crowed and we can usually get in here and it is just as good or better than anywhere else.

I could eat the Bill's Chicken Salad every week. Love going in to sit at the bar and have a few plates. And I miss their brunch (biggest spread you've ever seen)!

What a grand disappointment... we came in on a Saturday night around 7:40 with an OpenTable reservation. The good news was that we got seated promptly but everything went downhill fast. I was craving the pork chop but it was out (on a Saturday night ?!). So I picked my second choice instead - Tagliatelle. We waited at least 35 minutes for our food. The kitchen was likely understaffed, but perhaps the wait wouldn't be as noticeable if the bread service were complimentary.

Came here for a bridal shower for my cousin. We preordered or food weeks prior to the event. Even after an hour of the event time we still did not have our food. Once the food arrived it was pretty good. I had the Grand street breakfast, my toast and some of my potatoes were hard and over cooked. Nonetheless the flavorings were good. I tried the salmon salad and French toast and they were very good! If I go back I will order that instead. I also had a Mai Tai and it was amazing! Great ratio of juice and alcohol! This spot is requiring the use of masks during COVID-19. I attended a late dinner (probably 7:30-8 pm) and the restaurant wasn't too terrible busy. The service was average, our waiter was very nice but not super attentive. The food I'd say was also average. I really liked the bacon Mac and cheese shown in the picture below, but the pork chop wasn't anything too special in my opinion.

Oh my I think the lovelyist (not sure that's a word) patio in the heat of the Summer with the breeze that just whips through there. I had forgotten what a fabulous happy hour they have and just how wonderful of a place it is. Stopped in there they had mules on special for Tuesday and of course just the regular happy hour drink menu.
We got the bacon deviled eggs which were delicious and I don't like deviled eggs. We had the mushroom spring rolls which were superb I love the sauce.
And we got the seasonal flatbread pizza which was great couldn't eat it all but great for take home

This was truly the best meal we had during our visit to Kansas City!
There were six of us (with reservations) on a busy busy night, so we were treated to The Board Room, one of their private dining rooms! What an experience! Maybe our hosts (locals) may have set it up in advance, so I recommend that you do too!

Even though we were in an out-of-the-way room, the table service never missed a beat! The food arrived in a timely manner, and at the perfect temperature.... I had the Shrimp Risotto, and if that's is not brought to the table on time it would have been a bust... but it was perfect

Some restaurants are hidden gems and this is one of them located near the Kansas city famous winstead burger joint and next to a bank. This place is hidden.
i came here for a celebration with some friends/ colleagues overall it was a great experience. the customer service- the waiter was amazing and insightful to all the nuances of the food. i throughly enjoyed my meal which brought me back for brunch....
This was my first time here for brunch and the one critique i would state a ton of the menu had a substantial amount of pork products. i know there is a tendency to ask to make the change but

I hadn't been to Grand Street Cafe in a while. I am glad I stopped in. I visited the restaurant during happy hour and had coctails (Old Fashioned). I had never had one that taste so good. The service was great and so were the drinks. I mentioned that it was the weekend of my birthday and received a birthday treat.

They also have events space that is very nice and private.

I will be back.

Amazing atmosphere.
Very classic style in the restaurant and welcoming host. Seated immediately, but seemed their was an issue with server’s designated location initially but my friend and I didn’t mind since the menu looked exquisite. When the waiter arrived he provided an overview of the menu and let us know that their menu has just been updated for this fall.
So many amazing menu items that it was hard to chose from. We ended up ordering two pasta dishes - both were absolutely amazing and also split a side of fried Brussel sprouts. Pappardelle which is a sweet corn cream, jalapeño, charred

My girlfriend and I ate here the other day and really enjoyed our experience. I don't often start reviews with the service, but Micah was outstanding. I had a question about a nearby shop and he didn't know the answer, but went so far as to call them up and inquire about my question. Not related to the food, but he went above and beyond with his service.
