This motel is terrific, and I'd respectfully ignore the 1 star reviews, because they're way off-base. The location is fantastic, because you're right across the street from a nice park, with the beach directly adjacent to the park. The rooms are clean, with comfortable beds, the pool is clean, with toys for kids, the sundeck is perfect, with plenty of chairs, and the property is very well maintained & cared for. Also, the motel rooms face south, which is great because you get the sun facing you & the pool all day. We appreciated our stay at this motel, and will return for sure!

We've stayed here multiple times and each stay has been great! The location is perfect, providing a short walk to the beach as well as a park and band pavilion just across the street. The rooms are always comfy and clean with plenty of space for a family of four. The pool and surrounding patio with mini-golf are a great place to hang out and relax. Will definitely continue returning to Gold Crest.

The Gold Crest is a simple, but clean and comfortable spot. The hotel and Staff, especially Tina , the lead Desk Clerk and the Manager, Rooms staff and others all work together to make your stay as comfortable as possible! Having been to many shore spots over the years, I still feel that the Wildwood Crest Beach is unmatched for it's white sand and excellent Lifeguard coverage

The hotel itself is a little older, however the location is phenomenol! It is directly across the street from a park with a bandshell. Nightly concerts and a perfect view of the ocean. One block away is a lovely playground with a splash park. The hotel has a pool with a 1 foot wade pool for babes and toddlers. There is also a cute little mini golf course. So much to keep the little ones entertained!!!

Excellent location, rooms were very clean. The staff was pleasant and helpful. We had 4 adults in the room and were comfortable. The pool was clean and we enjoyed the retro Wildwood feel to the motel. It is dated but super clean and maintained. It’s across from the beach and park. We had breakfast every day across the street at the Port Royal. I would recommend this motel. It is family friendly and the location is family friendly too.

Very clean with large rooms…beds were comfy and the air conditioning was kicking which felt great after we spent time at the pool or beach. The pool was clean and large, and there is also a free mini golf and ping pong table. It’s a very easy walk to the beach and the staff was friendly . Tina at the front desk was great and we appreciated the breakfast pastries and fruit. The price of the motel room was really affordable..we will definitely be back!

The suite we reserved was changed to an oceanfront motel room without our consent and it didn't suit or needs. Three visits to the office to discuss the room change, hair on the shower wall, and a dirty hand towel were met with a shrug of the shoulders by management. An offer to move to the type of room we had reserved meant moving everything back to our car the next day and unfortunately the replacement room was not ready at the 3:00 check-in time but rather 6:00pm! No apology, no adjustment to the cost of our stay. We have been patrons of this motel for 35 years, but the recent change in management

Helpful staff. Great beds, rooms and pool were clean. The several gas grills were in good condition, and I saw the staff cleaning them and the pool each morning. The beach is really close, and was alot less crowded around that entrance.
There is a light switch that controls power to all appliances in the kitchenette, careful you don't turn off the fridge!
Consider bringing some gas-stove compatible cookware if you are going to cook in-room, as motel-provided cookware tends to go missing.

Awesome value here! Room was a little smaller than we would have liked but we also didn't pay big room prices so it's all good. The pool doesn't leave you smelling like pool and the service was great. At one point I locked myself out and I didn't even have to wait a minute before the mgr came over to let me back in. Also having the Wildwood Crest beach in your backyard is amazing.

Lousy dirty run down and out dated. I left immediately. Toilet was dirty crumbs on refrigerator. Big gap letting flies into room next to air conditioning. Woman at desk said no one ever complained before. I find it hard to believe. The next day they had the nerve to reverse my refund and I saw it on my credit card app. I call them and the lady said her boss told her to do it. I immediately put in a dispute with my bank. I have copies of the refund as proof.

STAY AWAY FROM HERE !!!!! We booked this Place for two nights 7/17/21 -7/18/21 and ended up staying 1 night 7/17/21 room 106. In the middle of the night I woke up with a sharp pain on my arm and there was a big bite on it and my back and leg. I got up and found out that my kids got bitten too on their legs, arms and their back. We found bedbugs on the beds and a big spider. I'm giving them a star because I don't have the option to give them 0.

We decided last minute to book our trip and we were so happy to find there was a room available. We got there early expecting to just park and walk the boardwalk and to our surprise our room was ready and waiting for us. All the staff was so friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back. Great experience for our first family trip to The Shore.

This Hotel is a Great Place to stay and the Price is Just Right!! The staff is amazing they cater to your every need and request. I wouldn't Recommend another place to stay. By far the best hotel Iv'e Ever stayed at In Wildwood Crest NJ. If i could give more then Five stars I would. With Direct Beach access and you can literally smell the ocean air from your room and even watch the sun rise from the sun deck . if i were you i would grab a room soon before the summer ends. you will never wanna stay at another hotel/motel in Wildwood Crest Area again. see you again next season Gold Crest.

Checked in on Friday, noticed the tvs weren't working. Contacted the front desk and they tried for an hour to fix it. We left for the beach and were told it would be fixed by the time we got back. It wasnt. Came back from the beach and tried to hang out by the pool. The motel was playing music through speakers outside which was fine. Within 20 minutes 2 groups of people were blasting radios in another language. We couldn't even stay by the pool. Asked about the tvs and were told that Comcast was called and would be there the next morning. The next morning we came back from breakfast

My wife and I are seasoned Wildwood visitors for over 25 years. We have stayed in many different motels and condos all those times and I feel we are well qualified to give an honest review, good or bad. We decided on the Gold Crest based on a recommendation from a friend and we booked a room for one week in August. Making the reservation on the phone was simple and easy and the woman on the other end answered all of our questions. Checking in was a breeze and were in our room within 5 minutes. The room itself, an oceanfront deluxe room, was clean and very comfortable and had a great view.

Very nice place. I loved the atmosphere. Family friendly. My kids had a great time here swimming and playing mini golf. The beach is a block away and not too far drive from the boardwalk. The only thing I wish they had that made me only give it 4 stars is please put an extra tv the the bedroom. One tv for a family of 5 isn't enough specially at night time. Other than that great place to spend family time.

I made reservations at a different place (El Ray Motel) when we got to Wildwood they did not have us booked and the lady up front was so rude and not helpful. We were in a jam with no place to stay after traveling a 130 miles. We stopped at Gold Crest Motel, and the lady who runs it was the absolute best! She was so friendly and accommodating, was able to get us in and the prices were reasonable! The room was clean, a little out dated but what do you expect when the prices are that reasonable? Stayed here last weekend while on a mini vacay in Wildwood. Great location! VERY close to the beach (approx a block, depending on how close you want to be to the water), clean, large beds that are very comfortable, and the woman who runs it is a sweetheart! Hoping to stay here when I come back to Wildwood next summer!
The only drawback is we had to get coffee/breakfast in the am but so many places around that it wasn't a deal braker.

We have been coming here for years love this place it may be a little outdated but very clean. The owner does not allowed ghetto trash or party people in here! I can respect that I take my daughter here nice and quite. Miniature golf course on site. BBQ grills. Right across from beach. Can't beat that.

I have very mixed feelings. There are positives and negatives.
The positives:
a) The hotel and rooms are very clean. Kudos to the cleaning staff.
b) The hotel is in a good location. Across the street is a park and beyond the park is the beach.
c) The pool is kept up well. It is not overly chlorinated and the pool water temperature was nearly perfect.
The Negatives:
a) This is the only hotel that I know of in Wildwood Crest of this class to charge for wifi. Every other hotel I stayed at or talked to other people about offered free wifi during the stay.
b) The people in the front office
