Services
Our two year old class meets two, three, and five mornings per week (Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Monday thru Friday) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and have three teachers per class with a maximum of 12 children. Our three year old class meets three and five mornings per week (Monday/Wednesday/Friday or Monday thru Friday) from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Corkran Preschool began as a kindergarten in 1955, by Mrs. Katherine Dobbie, and was one of the very first Kindergarten programs in Prince George's County. Since that time, the program has grown and expanded to include two, three, and four year old children. Corkran Preschool and Kindergarten provides a rich, satisfying, and constructive "first" school experience.
Mrs. Melissa Hahn is the Assistant Director here at Corkran Preschool. Mrs. Hahn has a degree in Hospitality Management. She also teaches Music and Movement and is in charge of all special events and fundraisers at the school. She also is our Facebook Instagram and webpage coordinator. Mrs. Hahn is an alumni of Corkran Preschool and her mother was the director here for 33 years before retiring.
Mrs. Sharon Ramsey is our Kindergarten Teacher. She has previously taught ages 3 to first grade. Mrs. Ramsey has three children and one grandson. Her grandson is a Corkran alumni! Mrs. Ramsey has a Bachelor's Degree in Education. She has been married for 39 years and loves to sing, read, and spend time with her family!
Ms. Hahn is also an alumni of Corkran. Her grandmother was the director here for 33 years! Her mother is the Assistant Director. Ms. Hahn has her AA degree in Psychology and will graduate with her Bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2022! She is excited to be working with Ms. Mariano again and cannot wait to meet your children!
