Bright Mind Preschool is located in old town. Bright Mind Preschool will be serving the needs of children in the local community and the DMV area. We are committed to the care and education of children and strive to make our school a welcoming and fun place to grow and learn. I highly recommend this school. My daughter switched from a larger preschool to Bright Mind and she is much happier and engaged in the activities at school. The director is very experienced. The owner is very friendly and is on the premises often as she truly cares about the children and listens to the parents opinions.
Our preschool program offers the perfect backdrop for encouraging progress at a child's own pace, while introducing cognitive skills, socials skills and language arts skills. Play-based preschool learning centers for math, science, dramatic play*, writing & literacy, music, creative art and computers provide opportunities to balance and stimulate both shared and independent learning experiences.

We move around quite a bit and have always been lucky to find great daycares for my child until recently. We were having a terrible time finding a daycare similar to where my child was previously. Their old daycare was very structured and endorsed a lot of free play and art activities. Due to their age, we decided to look for preschools in the area.

I have a three year-old boy that attends Bright Mind Preschool and the teachers and staff have become family to us. Besides having a top notch curriculum and individual care based on each student’s needs, they take the time to really get to know each child one-on-one. They’ve created an environment of trust where my child feels comfortable with all of the teachers and other students whom he considers friends.
My husband and I also receive daily reports detailing what our son has done that day and receive updates and pictures through their app, as well as attend quarterly face-to-face meetings

My daughter started attending Bright Mind preschool in October. It was not easy for us to let her go, since she had been home with me since birth. My husband and I could not be any happier with our decision to send her here. She has bloomed so much and has learned so many things that I could not teach her at home. We love the ratio of students to teacher and feel that she gets very specialized attention to her specific style of learning. It’s been a real treat to have seen her creativity so nurtured and for it to really run wild.

My son attended a much larger daycare center in Alexandria for two years before transferring to Bright Mind Preschool. I am so glad we made the switch. At the previous daycare center, the staff were very loving and my son was well cared for, but their communication with parents was very limited, and many of his teachers did not speak English themselves. In addition, their daily structure was such that my son would spend hours each day sitting in a chair, or having to sit perfectly still on the floor. Bright Mind, by contrast, has a daily structure that allows my son lots of age-appropriate exploration

Great school!! The teachers were amazing the atmosphere was great. Secured environment near a church. My daughter was out of care after previously ya omg issues with the on-base cdc and they took her right in and treated her like family. I was a bit nervous starting out there but the staff made me feel very comfortable! They sent updates and pictures throughout the day and my daughter loves it. I give this place and it’s staff 5 stars!

Bright Mind Preschool is truly a wonderful environment with a great facility and even greater staff! They have been very helpful in transitioning our daughter from staying at home with a nanny, to full-time at the preschool. They have helped our daughter break out of her shell and become an outgoing and social butterfly! I would recommend this to anyone interested in a great daycare!

I don't even know where to start with the praise when it comes to Bright Mind Preschool! My daughter (3 years) had never been to a daycare or preschool as we were fortunate enough to be able to have her home with dad since he works evenings. When we first set out to find a preschool for her, it was not the best experience. Although other schools seemed nice enough, and many had all the bells and whistles, they were just too large and I didn't feel my daughter would get the personalized attention that was needed for transitioning her from home to a school environment. Bright Mind Preschool has been a positive experience from the start! My son loves going to school everyday, and he has learned an incredible amount in a short period of time. The teachers are energetic, kind, supportive and have a great curriculum for the students to maximize their potential. I love the balance of free play, exploring, structure, rest and education. The director, staff and teachers have worked with us diligently to make our transition into pre-K supportive and smooth. I highly recommend Bright Mind Preschool.

I cannot more highly recommend Bright Mind Preschool for any parent considering pre-school for their child. My son started attending when he was 2.5 years old and absolutely loves it. All the staff and the owner are caring, kind, intelligent, and have your child's best interest at heart. Since day one I have felt comfortable dropping my son off and every day I become happier about his place in this sweet little school.
