Jones Von Drehle Vineyards & Winery
A time of thanks, a time of reflection for the gifts of the year, and a moment to remember those not with us. It is also a great time to take a pause to celebrate the hands that grow, prepare and serve our food and drink. With the Holiday season upon us, I wanted to say a few words of thanks to all of you who have raised a glass of JvD wine with family or friends.

Now happening across the vineyard. It is the start of ripening, when red grapes change from a vibrant green to blue or purple and white grapes develop a translucence. Sugars begin to accumulate while acids decline. This process marks one of the major milestones in a grapevine annual cycle. For us, it begets anticipation.

No, online orders are separate from the two required club shipments. You be will notified when those become available and will be able to customize your wine selections at those times.

I don’t know the name of the girl who poured our tasting, but she was extremely knowledgeable about the wines and the area, as well as being personable and efficient! This was one of the best tasting experiences I’ve had because she explained more than some obscure tasting notes.

Despite the popularity of this winery, very disappointing experience. The buildings and site plan are nice and have potential. The tasting experience is what made this disappointing. A disrespectful staff member and mediocre wine prevents us from every coming back.
We were greeted by a very friendly staff member behind the counter; however, as soon as she passed us off to another tasting staff member, it went downhill. We almost left before ever tasting the wine. She was rude and condescending.
We tried to push past it, but it distracted from the experience. After the tasting, we found the wine

Wonderful wine! Very distinctive and well crafted French style wines, eager to please the dry and semi-dry wine fans! Recommend a reservation. Please go if you are in the neighborhood!!!!!!!!!!!

Nice wine, beautiful place. But we will NOT be back. Left our wine glasses on table and took the rest of wine in bag we had and as we were walking out to our car a staff member ran after us as if we were stealing the wine glasses. 😡Not impressed anymore. Also no snacks allowed unless you want to buy dry crackers for $$$$$. Used to be my favorite winery in NC. SAD

I believe that Jones Von Drehle Vineyards just became my favorite in North Carolina! Their wines are really really nice! And so are the fabulous folks there. Due to Covid, we were not able to see indoors, other than the very clean and beautiful bathroom, but the patio and setting were beautiful. We’re excited to see the new event venue they’re building next to the tasting room. We were celebrating a birthday and were able to bring our own picnic, which was really nice because we all three had some unusual food requirements 🤓. Super hospitality, fabulous wine, beautiful setting - a great

Wine is wonderful, but don't understand why they quit tastings or let you purchase a glass of wine at 30 minutes before closing. Have never been to a Winery that does not let you purchase 30 minutes before they close. Most wineries let you purchase and do a tasting up until they're closing and stay open until you finish.

Good tasting experience here. Lots of good dry wine here. The owner was very personable as she takes the time to come around to engage guests. This place is building an 8,000 seat amphitheater and a event center. Nice relaxing g views from the spacious seating areas.

Meh. They're building the place up, trying to be a big commercial vineyard, but it was just lacking in character. The view could be had in any patients in the Yadkin Valley. There was nothing distinctive to make it memorable. They wouldn't allow us to taste the wine to determine if it was worth buying a glass or bottle (unfortunately, we bought bottles of both the Chardonnay and the Viogner, and neither was worth buying.). They also wouldn't allow you to bring your own snacks. The place just came off as pretentious without good wine. I can take a great location with bad wine, or a bad location

Beautiful tasting room and scenery. I liked some of the wines but some were too dry for my taste. They plan to have music on weekends in the future. The snacks available were limited but maybe were just low on supplies. They don't allow outside food or drink on premises.
This is a great place to stop after going to nearby Stone mountain park. Easy access off highway 21.
There was nice seating on concrete patio outside.
