I just got home from a 2 night stay at this motel. We paid $166 per night. The place was clean and a short walk to the beach, but was lacking in all other aspects. The beds were uncomfortable, there were hardly any outlets to plug in a phone charger, the air conditioner was extremely loud and would stop cooling the space after an hour. The rules of the hotel are very strict, as though they have been burned by younger guests in the past; these include no guests even for a short visit, no smoking area on the property, 10am check out time, and a $150 charge of you leave a dirty dish in the sink. The Ala Kai grounds and rooms are kept extremely clean. Upon arrival when you walk into your room, you'll find towels on your bed shaped into an animal or flower. Makes you feel like you're staying at a resort. We checked in on a Wednesday in which they have Happy hour near the pool. They offer Complimentary pizza and drinks for their guest. As far as location it's perfect for families who want to stay away from the craziness of Wildwood/Boardwalk area. The hotel is near the beach as well. The entire staff are extremely welcoming and personable. Thank you for having us! We will definitely be back
