Things can get overwhelming, stress can mount, and big changes are inevitable. Everyone can use some help at one time or another, and seeing the right therapist can be the key to finding the best way to navigate through a troubling time. I have a straightforward approach to therapy. My background helps me in my work with the creative community, helping people to achieve a balance between their creativity and the choices they make.
I also work with people on many issues, including anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, substance abuse, existential issues, as well as help people plagued by impulsivity that wreaks havoc in their lives. I would like to help you feel more comfortable about the process of finding your strength so please just ask me about my free consultation.

Services
My foundation for counseling is that of existential phenomenology which, loosely translated, means that to find meaning in one's life one must examine the phenomenon of living. I offer hope to clients to help them find within themselves the strength that has always been there, and to help guide them to find meaning in their lives.
I also have limited availability for a sliding scale fee, so please ask me if you would like to see if you qualify. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), I am a preferred provider with Premera/Blue Cross, Regence, Aetna, Group Health PPO, First Choice, and Cigna, and my services are eligible for most other insurance programs.
It is very important to find a good fit for a therapist so I am happy to answer any questions you might have with a 20 minute complimentary consultation done either by phone or in person. You can reach me by phone or email to discuss your next move in this process. My office is located in the Crown Hill neighborhood of Ballard, at Ballard Counseling Group.
