PASS THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX! Do yourself a favor. So many issues! First one: Lori from the front office is a complete JOKE. She’s incompetent and lazy. Due to her only having time to place her ear to the wall of the office manager (nosy) and telling every resident who comes in “she’ll get back with them” she makes HUGE clerical errors allowing the… maintenance department to STEAL belongings of the residents more than they already do. How is someone assigned a garage, that’s being used already, tell you TWICE and then receive a new garage and NO documentation

These are not good apartments, let alone “luxury”. I never leave reviews for places but this is necessary. People work hard to make a living and afford a place to live ,to relax, and find peace but at Desert Mirage you’ll find there are always issues. This apartment complex will almost never have parking spaces for you. You can drive around the whole apartment complex and not find one. This resorts to having to park in neighborhoods beside the complex. The maintenance is going around placing towing stickers on all of the cars as well if u don’t have ur tags and maybe other reasons as well

Apartments are nice. Amenities could be better in terms of availability. More complimentary resident perks like food trucks, events, etc. would be appreciated.
Update: post covid maintenance response times are absolutely terrible. Expect at least a 2 week turn around for your issue to be addressed. The maintenance crew used to be spot on, but not sure what happened to them as I don't see those folks around anymore.

Honestly there leasing office is non responsive they ignore you when you have an issue. I’ve had to come to these methods to try to get someone to notice or possibly get back to me. I’ve tried to handle this in a civil matter but that doesn’t seem to work. I’ve proved to them the issues I have with my upstairs neighbors with photos videos I’ve… called the police and the after hours security service and apparently that is not enough I’ve requested to be moved and have been advised that they will not honor what I currently pay for rent if I moved to a different

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. I have been having problems with a toxic odor that smells like sulfuric acid or sewer gas that comes into my apartment and causes me severe distress. I moved in April 2021 and the problem has not been resolved and Kristen never followed up with me to even ask how I am doing. She has since left the community and I have spoken to the new manager about my same problem, only to get the same results. I recently noticed that there is a man hole cover with the word SEWER on it,, right in front of my attached garage. Maybe coincidence? Maybe not!!! Probably a leak in the sewer line

I was so excited to rent here.... UNTIL I Self Toured a 1 bed 1 bath. The apartment lay out was nice but appliances, carpet & cabinets were falling apart not to mention cockroaches through out the kitchen floor. I was ready to move forward with the application process but Kristen was not on top of what needed to get done. Til this day I have not heard back from her on any of my concerns. If that is how I am being treated as a potential tenant I can’t imagine how an actual tenant gets treated when they need the help of the front office 10/10 DO NO recommend.

BEWARE ALL STUDENTS, PET OWNERS, AND FAMILIES!!! I wish it didn’t have to come to this but Desert Mirage has failed time and time again to meet the needs of residents and communicate effectively. THIS IS A WARNING!

We also went without a dryer knob for 12 months - We emailed and talked to the leasing office and it was

First of all there's no guest parking. So you have to park across the street in a business center if there's no parking, or risk getting towed by parking in the roundabout. Secondly. Maintenance sucks. It takes them months to fix anything in the apartment, if they even do it at all, but it takes them less than a day to put tow sticker on cars, break the side mirrors of tenants cars because they hit it with their golf carts, or, when we try to talk to them about that, tell us they'll keep smashing our side mirrors in with their golf carts because "we shouldn't park there

The staff couldn't care less about the tenants, and if their concerns are taken care of, i have been trying to get my lease paperwork so i can sign a lease (my last, i hope) and they have repeatedly dropped the ball, you never see maintenance out taking care of the grounds, and it seems that as long as they make their numbers in apartments rented, they can sit back and do nothing but talk about how they care so much about keeping the tenants happy, they are all talk and zero action

Let me start by saying I am more than happy with my whole experience. I had to start searching for an apartment about a month ago when everything started closing down. After calling many other locations without much luck, I landed on Desert Mirage. Kristin was so kind and helpful thru the whole process. She was informative and very patient with any questions I had about the complex. Everything was smooth and easy with her. I appreciate, applaud, and thank her level of service... Since I was unable to tour the apartment due to covid, I was definitely a little anxious when my move in day came. I

I was happy up until I got my apartment. First of all, I have asked for upgraded appliances. And Kristen told me the apartments comes with updated appliances. And what I saw on the model apartment is going to be similar. I did NOT get that. I got a washer that was yellow and old. The dryer is fine but the washer is not. I told her and she tried to reword my own word. To tell me The apartment will have upgraded appliances is DECEIVING.

Be leery of renting at Desert Mirage. Our first warning should have been the bait and switch when we arrived with our moving van to move in and were told the ground floor apartment we leased was not available and had to settle for a second story in the back of the complex. Then when we moved out a year later, we were given a long list of cleaning that was required. Even after thoroughly completing the list and providing photographic documentation the standard $100 cleaning fee was charged - this fee is charged no matter if you complete the list so just leave the apartment in reasonable condition

Hands down the WORST management at any complex I’ve dealt with. They are impossible to get ahold of, do not take tenant safety seriously, and have no communication between each other or with the residence. Kristin(a) is the worst one they have and constantly drops the ball while lying to cover her own neck.
Countless security calls, resulting in police being called due to the offices lack of following their own protocol.
Over priced with nothing to show.

Our experience started off great. I am DREADING moving into this place tomorrow once now we have already signed our lease and have a house packed up and ready to go.
FIRST -We spent all week arguing back and forth with Kristine about our dog situation. No help but giving us the same script over and over.
SECOND -My husband and I were excited to move into our new place with our two small kids. After signing papers we decide to go do our walkthrough. Thankfully we did before we move in tomorrow because we moved into a place we couldn't view when we applied and the place we saw was amazing

We have been living here for a few months now and really like it! Maintenance is quick to fix issues, management has been very helpful, and the community is quiet for the most part. Parking can be a nightmare after 5pm so if you have more than one car (like we do) be prepared to park in the church parking lot next door every now and then. Also, these were built back in 1998 so there are a few quirks like the light switches not being synced with the main light in the bedrooms and living room. But at the end of the day, we really like it here and are glad we chose to live here.

Honestly can’t wait until our lease is up. Been here since September and the only good thing about it is the size of the apartment. Absolutely no parking because you have people saving spots so when I get home from class at 10:30 at night I have to park in the neighborhood next to us and my fiancé has to come pick me up. And now they’re closing the… pools one right before a holiday weekend and two when it’s finally supposed to hit over 100 degrees. We tried to get a garage to help with our parking situation. Signed for one. Then get a call saying they accidentally

PARKING there's no such thing at this apartment have lived there for 7 months and parking just keeps getting worse and worse people park there covered motorcycles in uncovered spots save other spots with there motorcycles so if you have more then one car your screwed and have to park outside the complex and in the next neighborhood which I've done over 10 times and walk home because I get home late it's a joke!

I'll give an extra star since the office people are always nice. I hope it's not their fault the rent is going up.
I'm not sure what greystar is doing but my Rent went up by $400.00 since moving here. Who will pay $1400 to live here? I rather live in a nice water front apartment in Tempe or get a house.

I lived here for a year, and I will say it was hassle free, and the office mostly left you alone. However, I will also say that despite the apartment being nice (aside from the fact that the outlets never hold plugs) there were bugs.... EVERYWHERE.
I had a scorpion in my bedroom several times in the same week, two in my bathroom, several in my roommates bathroom.. that's when I decided okay, we've had somewhere near 15 scorpions in the house in a few weeks.
Called the office, took zero responsibility. I was told this was a "fact of life living in arizona". No ma'am, it

I have lived in these apts twice. Once from 2009 to 2011 and then recently from 2015 to 2016. The company that took over "grey star" or whatever. Has def cleaned up the complex but their business practices are less than ideal. When I lived here the first time, they were very nice and were very much about home ownership.
