Ohnnmar Lee is the owner of Gel O Nails and a Japanese Gel Nail Stylist. She brings a natural warmth and serenity to her clients and will always make you look and feel fabulous! Her passion is to bring you the newest trends, to bring to life nail art and designs that express her client's imagination, the most modern technologies, and to give you advice on how to take care of your nails and keep them looking great.
Gel nails are nails finished by coating a thickened, syrup-like liquid and hardened by curing under a LED or UV light. Until a decade ago, having nails done meant mainly using acrylic nail polish. With the introduction of soft gel about 10 years ago, gel nails saw a big rise in popularity and have become mainstream.

At Gel O Nails, our main focus is providing top of the line services using only the top quality name brand natural nail products. We're also able to boast that at Gel O Nails, we have adopted LED light technology for gel manicures, which is considered safer for the skin than the traditional UV lights used at other salons.
Walk-ins are always welcome and will try our best to accommodate, but we highly recommend making an appointment to make sure we can fit your specific time request especially if you are bringing a friend or two and prefer to sit together. Quality work and attention to detail. Thanks Ohnmar!! She also has the best color selection I've seen in the bay (and I've been pretty much everywhere). She keeps up to date on the latest trends, so her work is always top notch.
She's got green tea and coffee too, so it's not just about great work, but a full experience.
She once spent a weekend affixing flowers to my nails that she created by hand. She's truly an artist! I wish I could reliably get over to the east bay (and that she had more availability) I would only go to her.

Ohnmar is absolutely THE BEST!!!
She is so detailed oriented and meticulous, it blows my mind. That is why her appointments take about 2 hrs. But I don't mind.
I enjoy great conversation with her and I come out with gorgeous nails that last up to 4 weeks!!! You read it right.
In regular nail salons my gel wouldn't last passed 2nd week, but Ohnmar uses different technique and high quality gel that won't chip first time you wash your hands.
Highly, highly recommend her! Just make sure you schedule your appointment ahead of time because she is booked for months in advance.

Ohnnmar at Gel O Nails is an absolute nail genius. I can be frustratingly indecisive about what I want, but she is consistently patient while I hem and haw through my decision process. She has a wide variety of creative nail supplies and always offers suggestions to come up with a unique nail design. Ohnnmar is up-to-date on current nail trends and it's always fun to discuss what's going on in the nail art world with her. I'm completely happy for weeks with the professional quality and longevity of her work. I can't imagine going anywhere else to get my nails done!

Ohnnmar did an amazing job on my nails! She was very patient and took her time when painting them. She focuses on details and constantly asked if I was pleased with the color and design. She keeps the conversation going and it was a friendly and relaxing atmosphere. I'm obsessed and will definitely come back!

Stumbled upon this nail salon here on Yelp. The photos really sold me. I called to set up and appt and was told to book on-line. I then went to the website and discovered that she is booked TWO MONTHS OUT!! So, I decided to go ahead and book for two months away. The night before my appointment, I received a call that the lady is sick and I have to book another appt on-line. The next day, went to the website only to discover that the next available appt is yet another TWO MONTHS out.
I completely get it when we get sick, but it is ridiculous that when you cancel appts, you do not automatically

Since I started seeing Ohnnmar, I've only cheated once. I waited too long to schedule an appointment with her and she was totally booked. So I went somewhere else and... never again.
This will not be a short, in-and-out nail appointment. Ohnnmar is amazingly meticulous, and takes the time to make your nails perfect. I get so many compliments on my nails ALL the time and always recommend her.
She is also the only person I can find that who knows what she's doing in terms of gel overlays. Typically a salon will have only 3-4 colors of pink, and glops it on. Or they want to do acrylic

First off, Ohnnmar is an amazing and kind human being. I love to go to her just for the chats we have. Oh... and she knows the best places to get good food. Ask her about her favorite Banh Mi place and you will die happy :-)
And apart from being so rad as a person, she is an amazing artist. Very keen on detail and super creative but also very well versed in the technical aspect of her craft.
She takes her time and it shows.
My gel manicures usually hold up for three weeks, which is amazing!
Then I get back to her and she doesn't bother with the soaking off, she files the color off the nails

The owner is very nice and makes you feel comfortable. She cleans utensils after each service and gives the best messages she shapes and files to perfection. Takes her time. The polish selection is crazy good especially the gel polishes. If you want to get good parking make sure to get early appt. if not she validates for the parking garage. She books two weeks in advance. I will def. be making the drive from San Leandro over here to make this my new nail

Long overdue review.
I had been wanting to try out this nail salon because they use Japanese gel! It's a lot different than the gel you get at most nail shops around.
Japanese gel last a very long time with no chips! I really wanted a coffin shape, but that's not what I got. I actually got all sorts of different shapes. No consistency sadly. Another thing that bothered me was that none of my nails were even. Some were taller some were shorter.
Ohmmar is a nice nail tech. She's very friendly and her painting techniques are good, but I think she needs to work on her shaping skills

My boyfriend and I were going on vacation so I decided to get a manicure and pedicure at the last minute. It was my boyfriends 40th birthday and I wanted to look nice head to toe. It was late and other salon was opened except for this one tucked away so I decided to stop in.
The technician who was there was very friendly and welcoming. I told her the serviced I wanted and she asked me to pick out my colors. Originally, I wanted light green polish for my toes but when she painted one toe, I didn't like the color so she was accommodating enough to let me change it to a different color
