How one mom's search to help her daughter grew into a sweet new gluten-free bakery in Pacifica. Tawnya Marsh, founder of Pacifica's Saltwater Bakery, says the name is no coincidence- she's poured a lot of sweat and tears into opening the bakery, which, on clear days, offers vistas of the ocean from its Palmetto Avenue storefront.

My husband stumbled upon this place today, and we are so glad to have found it! Excellent Americano (best one we've found in Pacifica), and delicious baked goods (the chocolate chip walnut cookie was amazing)! We only wish they were open longer hours, since we often visit the beach in the afternoons.

I love this place! I am from San Mateo but whenever I come up, there are so many cafe to choose from. But this place is unique- you can different types of latte w Espresso but if you are not for the coffee there are some choices for you to warm you up. I had the honey rose and the honey and rose balance was perfect. All bake goods were gluten free. I had the blueberry muffin. Delicious! Sugar crunch on the top and very moist bursting w the taste of blueberries. I can't wait to come back next week.

Love this place for its vegan/gf options (thank goodness)! A little pricey but high-quality ingredients and free heat up option. Only downside is that there is no nutritional info. I've had to stop myself from visiting here so often -- that's how addictive it is.

I was going to give this place only 3 stars until I realized that it's gluten and dairy free. I don't seek out places like this but there always seems to be people here. So... being in Yelp mode, I decided to check it out. I ordered a slice of banana walnut bread. I ate it with the assumption that it was loaded with gluten. No one told me otherwise. Came to pacifica with one of my girlfriends for a weekend staycation, and this was one of the highlights of our trip! so many baked goods made it really hard to choose, but we settled on two donuts (lemon pistachio and chocolate almond) and two lattes (harvest moon and campfire). enjoyed them outside in their little seating area with the cutest pink chairs. a must stop if you're in the area, visiting or not! :)

I love this spot! If u want some vegan or GF pastries this is your go-to! From donuts, to muffins, cookies and so much more. The owner is welcoming and friendly. I ordered a Beet wellness latte for me and my husband, and it was super yummy! I'm not sure if you could customize the milk option but it would be nice if you could. (I didn't ask the owner although I should have.)
Their current hours are open from Wednesday-Sunday 8am-1pm. I just wish they were open Monday-Sunday and longer hours, would be nice. Come here early because it can get pretty busy! A mask is still required upon

Yum! So happy to have found this gluten free bakery -and so close to the beach. My go-to are the donuts - they seem to be baked and they have a nice moist texture. Blueberry muffin is also delicious. Only thing I might skip next time is the corn muffin - I think I'd prefer a finer corn meal. Also really like their espresso based drinks with Oatly oat milk. Today I tried the ginger cardamom syrup and ready enjoyed it! Haven't come across anyone unfriendly like some of the reviews state. There are a couple of two seater tables and a bench outside. Would definitely recommend checking it

I'm in gluten free heaven! (Did I really just say that?!) :) I recently embarked on a gluten free diet due to health reasons. This is difficult for me being a foodie and dessert enthusiast all my life, so I was happy to find this place on yelp.
Visited for the first time. Got the honey rose latte, decaf. Delicious! Love the little chocolate chip cookie that it came with. Also got a blueberry muffin. Super moist and yummy, perfect with the coffee.

I was initially skeptical of gluten free donuts, but my lemon pistachio one was delicious! great flavor and texture. i also tried the birthday cake balls, which were super moist and delicious, and the orange blossom scone, which had more of a bread/cake consistency the scone, but was still good.

I'm always on the search for gluten-free and vegan desserts/pastries and this is the perfect cute spot for breakfast by the water in the Bay Area. It's not too difficult to get to and located within the town, parking isn't too hard and it's a nice area to take a stroll and walk by the Pacifica Pier. They only limit 3 customers inside at a time and the workers are so friendly and make things freshly. We got a ton of treats for breakfast for a bachelorette morning. Out of all the flavors, we enjoyed the Lemon Pistachio donut the best, my sister in law that's vegan & gluten

We found this place on yelp. There's a small parking lot right in front. The staff here is very helpful. I love that they had the option of almond milk. I had a vanilla latte with almond milk was really good and strong. My husband and son had a doughnut and a cookie. They really enjoyed the pastries so much. My husband said the cookies were some of the best he's ever had so we'll definitely be returning. My favorite part is they put a little cook on top of every coffee it's super cute and definitely stood out.

COVID REVIEW: First time customer during the quarantine! What a cute little hidden gem. While the drive here was a bit scary (very foggy), this was the perfect little coffee place to stop by and pick up some snacks and drinks before a morning hike. They open up nice and early; register is at the front and pickup is at the side window. Standouts were the saltwater latte and the cold brew. The saltwater latte was not only pretty (it's blue!), it tasted cozy and creamy. The cold brew had a nice large ice cube in it that prevented any kind of watering down. Each drink even came with a tiny oatmeal

I unfortunately was not too impressed with this place. I did like homey feel and the fact all the recipes were the owner's. I thought it was too pricey for me to want to return. If I ever wanted pastries and coffee and treating myself for a morning "splurge," I'd definitely come here. But I'm more of a regular at Cafe Pacifica nearby.

This place is quietly and cool. However, I recently took home "biscotti" which was really disappointing. I love having biscott with my coffee. This however was not actually biscotti. They seemed like yesterday's banana bread, poppy seed loaf, etc. that were repurposed to appear as biscotti; sliced and rebaked until they were as hard as (hate to compare) dog biscuits. The box which had an assorted selection were about $3 per box. I give this a two star because, it's usually a great spot, and the owner is very nice... but I felt duped.

Cute little bakery with a to go window for safe ordering during the pandemic. You can easily see the different pastries they have available and the cashier was friendly and explained what the different options were. The checkout process was easy via Apple Pay.
I ordered an oat milk latte and a lemon pistachio donut then took both to enjoy at the nearby pier. All drinks come with a small chocolate chip cookie - such a thoughtful addition! Would definitely stop by here for a coffee and pastry again.
