In late 2016 Matthew Kosoy, a veteran from the tech industry, became obsessed with making bread. Starting from his home, in Pacifica California, he began baking loaves for neighbors and started selling them in front of a local coffee shop (P-Town Cafe). By spring of 2017 Matthew had moved out of his home kitchen and into a shared commercial space in San Francisco.
His intention was to begin developing a business from the bread. He committed to selling bread at a weekly farmer's market. Matt had named the new company "Rosalind Bakery" after his maternal grandmother Rosalind Rabin. Ever since we've been working hard to create wonderful food for our community.

Absolutely the best bakery on the peninsula by a mile. A smallish selection of items, but almost everything is excellent. I love the excitement of seeing what items they'll have when I go (they rotate the selection seasonally). The corn and cherry scone and the baker's choice bread with baked-in herbs are my favorite items, but I haven't been disappointed by anything yet. There's typically a small line, but it moves quickly and is nothing compared to what you'd get at a San Francisco bakery of this caliber.

DIEDDDDDD eating this breakfast sandwich and their cookies! so so sooooo good. the breakfast sandwich was warm and delicious- it fell apart as i was eating it and also burned my hand but i didn't care since i was already dead from the deliciousness of the sandwich. the scrambled eggs and pimento cheese were somehow perfect and the best way to start a long hiking day. the cookies were also amazing- brought them to a party later in the day and everyone was blown away, particularly by the sesame and toffee chip ones. the monkey bread was fine - a little dry. definitely try all their cookies,

Such a gooood bakery! This place is a local gem and I have to say, their hot drinks definitely surpass many coffee-specialized places! I ordered the Orange Blossom Latte and the Spicy Mocha and they were divine! The flavors were strong, without being too overpowering and the mocha was creamy, chocolatey, and thick, just like the perfect mocha should be!
Their breads are full of flavor as well and their lemon zest added a nice kick to the olive bread I bought. The Rye Sesame bread is also a good choice! I wish they would have some vegan pastries and cookies, but coming for the bread and coffee

Selling their fresh baked breads and pastries from the front door sidewalk, Rosalind has become a major fixture in the neighborhood appealing to a younger more health conscious clientele than the stalwart American-Italian style Mazzetis across the street .
Although the pastries are amazing bearclaws, croissants etc ,The breads are my favorite.
The 60/40 loaf and the all seed loaf are my favs.
Pricey yes $10+, but very good. They slice them by request.
Fresh brewed coffee, pizza dough, sauces and spreads available too and much more.

If you know, you know how much I love sandwiches, especially on freshly baked bread, which is exactly what you'll find here at Rosalind Bakery. This spot has been on my must-try list for a while, and I was driving through Pacifica, I'd seen they do a breakfast sandwich and it was the perfect excuse to stop n try it!
When you walk up, there's an ordering window/kiosk to order from. The breakfast sandwich is $8 + $3 if you want to add bacon. The sandwich comes with a farm fresh egg (cooked to your preference, grilled sourdough with their house-made pimiento cheese. After tax n tip

Short and sweet review--my FAVORITE PLACE FOR CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES.
Large cookies with the perfect amount of crisp and chew. Chocolate isn't crazy sweet like I prefer. The sea salt lightly sprinkled on top is the best added touch!
All their cookies are 3 for $5. Love getting these when I need a little gift as a guest invited to someone's house.
Also love their Toffeedoodle cookie--a yummy snickerdoodle cookie with some extra crisp from some toffee on the bottom.
If you come on a weekend, make sure you come before noon to secure the goods--they often start running out!

Is there any better confirmation of this bakery's quality than witnessing THE (former) craftsman from Craftsman and Wolves? Yes, we saw famed baker William Werner picking up pastries from here. In his own words, this place is "great." IMO, I don't think this place can compete with the pastry from SF bakeries, but for the Peninsula, it's def a fun find. I wish the coastside sourdough was a bit more sour, but the almond croissant was nice and full of sweet almond paste. With its early opening time, this bakery is a fun stop before going on a nearby Pacifica hike.

The best bakery for sourdough bread in Pacifica and Daly City.
I came across Rosalind 3 days ago through an article that listed Rosalind Bakery in their top 10 list in the entire Bay Area. A bakery in my backyard and I had no clue about it, this I had to investigate.
I placed an online order for their 60/40 sourdough, followed by their soup of the day, a vegan lemongrass sweet potato soup that comes with a side of, you know, what else, but some sourdough.
The order was ready within 15 minutes, and parking in the outdoor strip mall complex is plenty. I was greeted with a warm smile by Nick

If you're looking for a cute reliable bakery look no further! This place has been a go to for me since I moved to Pacifica last year, from their coast side sourdough bread, to the delicious lattes and let's not forget all the delicious baked goods you can find every morning!
The staff are always super nice and so friendly too :)
I'm going to be so sad when I have to move and leave this delightful spot.

Stopped in on my drive from SF to SC. Got the egg sando with avocado and left with some loaves of bread and croissants. Egg sandwich was perfect. Great bread, egg was cooked perfectly and the pimento cheese f-ing killed it. Once I got home I took a few slices out of the olive loaf and warmed it with some good quality butter. My wife, who thinks gluten will make her gain 100lbs by only looking at it, took a bike of mine and said "this is worth it" and prepared her own slice. My kiddo who loves olives said "this is the life" while eating her slice. Totally sold on this place

Rosalind Bakery abs been open for quite sometime and I haven't had a chance to visit until today. I was waiting foe my order from another place and was looking at what they have left. I guess you need to come early to get their pastries and baked goods. While waiting the guys from Rosalind asked if I wanted to order anything. I asked if they have any vegan friendly items abs sure enough they do but again I have to go there early to beat the crowd. He did mention the Spiced Chickpea soup. OMG, if you haven't tried the soup you need to stop by and give it a try. It's very delicious

I've been wanting to try Rosalind bakery since they opened and finally got a chance to today. I wanted to try the cinnamon roll, but they were sold out by the time I got there. I ended up getting a morning bun and toffeedoodle cookies. My mom got their olive sourdough bread loaf.
Tartine's morning buns are my favorite and this one was really dry and did not even come close. I didn't try the olive bread, but my mom said it was just okay and didn't have enough olives in it. The toffeedoodle cookies were really good though and I would get them again.
Pacifica doesn't have

Croissant and House-Made Chai from Rosalind Bakery (@rosalindbakery ). The crossisant was a little dry and less played than usual. The Chai was great. But next time at least double-strength for me. Overall both were still better than many other places in the area. You cannot go wrong here. One thing to note. If you consume on site by either standing around on the sidewalk or sitting at the bench, Rosalind Bakery cannot accept any cups bags, plates, or other trash for disposal. Rosalind Bakery only ejects customer consumption materials. They do not accept customer consumption materials. There is

First timer and I couldn't help myself but try as much as possible tried:
- Passionfruit danish (with salted macadamia topping)
- seasonal grilled cheese - gruyere, apple, fig
- avocado toast - pepitas and radish
- chocolate croissant
- biscuit - I think it was jalapeno cheddar
- bear claw
- corn/cherry scone
- cinnamon rolls
- latte
The family favorites from the kids:
- biscuit (8yo) even with the kick
- cinnamon roll (9yo)
- choc croissant (6yo)
I enjoyed the scone and biscuit. The biscuit would be amazing to use for a breakfast sandwich. The avo toast was on a thick slice of bread, so

I've always loved the bread that Matt has made! The bread is really good and wholesome. It may be on the pricier side, but it's because there owner actually likes for his employees to have a reasonable wage. The food served here is also very good! The photo I included with this review its the grilled cheese with an egg. While it may look strange due to its red hue, the flavor was delicious! The mocha i also got was a really good example of a tasty mocha coffee. 10/10 will still continue to shop here and support this great local business but also still continue to recommend to other!

Rosalind is THE BEST!! Anytime someone says they're going to Pacifica, I tell them to stop by Rosalind. This is definitely one of my favorite bakeries in the entire Bay Area. This time I got a loaf of bread, which I'm trying not to completely devour in one sitting as I write this review.
This time I met the owner as well, who is very kind. He was loading his delivery truck up to donate loaves of bread.

4.5 stars. I truly want to give a perfect score as this place is called Rosalind bakery and my name is Rosalyn. The lack of inventory and limited hours holds me back.
After many failed attempts I finally scored some vittles today! I got the sourdough baguette, chocolate croissant, pizza dough and a mocha.
The sourdough baguette was amazing! Hella hella fresh. Tangy sourdough flavor, light and airy interior, crispy exterior. I've had fresh sourdough that was hard on my teeth and tough to chew. Rosalind sourdough is nothing like that. It's soft while still remaining true sourdough.

The best almond croissant I've ever had in my life! Stop reading this and go get yourself one. Right now!
The croissant is very flaky and crispy. It's baked to perfection with layers of buttery goodness. The almond filling tasted fresh and flavorful. It has the perfect amount of sweetness and the almond flavor is not too overpowering. The almond cookie topping makes the perfect crunch which elevates the croissant to a whole new level.
I will definitely recommend this bakery!

What a gem! Friends told us about this bakery in an unassuming strip mall in Pacifica and we made the drive from the city to check it out.
They currently have curbside pick up of their breads, pastries and cafe items. We ordered two breakfast sandwiches, the cake of the day (corn cake and raspberry jam), chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie.
The breakfast sandwiches were AMAZING! Huge thick slices of buttered sourdough, pimento cheese and egg. Perfection. I also enjoyed the cake of the day and the chocolate chip cookie. The croissant was a miss for us. When compared to Jane, Arsicault

Exceptional artisinal breads, pastries, 'walking cinnamon sugar bread sticks', cookies, coffee and sauerkraut. They even have pizza dough and seed bread (a personal favorite every weekend). Rosalind knows bread and bakes love into every loaf. Only the very best ingredients too baked by the best people. A weekly ritual in our family. Go early and get yours before they sell out.
