Our Marriage Rescue Retreats are down-in-the-trenches event aimed at completely restoring a marriage that is in crisis. Our Retreats are always private - just you, your spouse and your Counselor. We believe that couples having a really rough time need 100% of their Counselor's focus. This allows your Counselor to focus on your specific issues rather than sharing the time with other couples' issues.
We are located in the beautiful metro area of Charlotte, NC. Sometimes couples will try to combine some time after their Intensive Retreat for a mini vacation. Charlotte is known for it's great restaurants, museums, gardens, galleries and trolley car tours. If you stay a bit after your Intensive Retreat, don't miss visiting the "Butterfly Pavilion" where you enter into an arboretum with hundred's of butterflies.
Valentine's Day has come and gone, and feelings of "love" and "romance" are still lingering in the air. With Valentine's Day quickly approaching, people are working themselves into a frenzy trying to find somewhere to go and something to do with their sweethearts on the most romantic day of the year.

This was a waste of time and money. Their touted 93% success rate is at the end of the intensive with no follow up. If for some reason you decided to divorce a month later they still count it as successful. It seemed like cramming a lot of counseling in a little bit of time and requires two willing participants (counter to their marketing and phone conversations prior to arrival). If you are reading this review I suspect you are desperate and may only get one opportunity. Use the opportunity elsewhere. There was nothing special about this experience to make it worthy of that one opportunity.

My husband and I just returned from our marriage rescue retreat. While it was a meaningful and positive experience, in hindsight we really should have been given more details ahead of time. We traveled via plane and booked a hotel for 3 nights. I did my best to get details prior to booking but after three phone calls and an email, I was still unclear on the start and end times. I was told we had to pay in full before we had the details and once I had paid, it was still 4 full days before I heard back about the detail despite our scheduled time being in less than 2 weeks. Our counselor was Dr. Josh
