Van Lingen and B&H Towing offer a full range of towing and impound services for law enforcement agencies, corporations and individuals - all at competitive rates. We're there for you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Setting standards in technology, we use state-of-the-art, automated vehicle locators and a computer-aided dispatch system that allow us to provide fast, efficient service.
Cars are towed for many different reasons. Below you will find the most common reasons, along with their corresponding vehicle codes. THE DRIVER IS UNLICENSED or HAS A SUSPENDED LICENSE: Vehicles cannot be driven by any unlicensed driver or those who commit a license violation. Vehicles can be towed even if the driver is not the vehicle owner or if there is a licensed passenger in the car.
If your vehicle was not towed for either of the above two reasons then no release is required, however you must bring ID, current registration, and proof of insurance to our facility at 20621 Earl St., Torrance. If your vehicle was towed by the El Camino Police Department because of any vehicle code violation you must go to the El Camino Police Department, Front Desk (310) 660-3100 (www.elcamino.cc.ca.us/police) and secure a vehicle release.

This office has the absolute worst customer service that I have ever seen. I am torn in providing three stars for this company . it only gets the three due to my first contact with one of the night shift workers . He was polite friendly and helpful. TLDR: Van Lingen towing has a business process that punishes and demeans those that come in contact with them. They appear to sell their debts to a collection company that refuses to rectify billing mistakes and when confronted with these facts, the employees of Van Lingen don't fix the issues.

I would definitely give them 0 stars if i could. Do NOT come here willingly. My car got towed away with no warning by the city, but this isn't really the towing company's fault so I won't say much.
However, the woman at the front desk was so rude. She had no customer service skills at all. She would talk with a "whatever, not my problem so I don't care about what you're saying" attitude. So I understand most people don't want to go And pay for the car to be released after it has been towed by the police. However, I knew my mistake and I told myself it won't happen again. Being a student I tried to use Apple Pay to get at least two or 3% cashback on the payment that I made. There was a clear sign on the window that said we ACCEPT Apple Pay With an Apple Pay symbol on it. But the fromt desk said no with an attitude. This is the absolute worst towing company of all time. I encourage the Torrance Police Department to stop working with them as many others have run into issues gaining access to their own property. My friend was unexpectedly t-boned and due to out of state expired registration, they won't let her get her underwear. HER DAMN CLOTHES! They made us jump through multiple hoops and we were compliant the entire time, and had the very companies they told us to go to, call them to tell them to let her get her belongings again HER PROPERTY, and they said no. I hope this company goes under and wish

We had a wheel come off of our moving truck and budget dispatched Van Lingen to help us. The 2 gentleman we dealt with were a lifesaver! They were professional, efficient and cared about our safety and well being...as budget had left us stranded for 7hrs!

Legalized thieves, stealing property and money from people, they shouldn't exist.
They charged me $540+ for 2 days and 5 hours (53 hours in total)
They charge ~$69 just to open the gates after 5pm. This system is broken. Van Lingen employees please find better job. You can earn more $$ to make people happy.
