There are always going to be issues in life. Thinking that life is going to be issue free is a delusion. If you walk around in life thinking there are no issues or problems, you are living in denial and that is unhealthy. The healthy part is realizing there is an issue and perhaps seeking help. Denial is when a person continues to repeat dysfunctional behaviors but thinks everything is fine.
That's denial. Denial is also a lack of awareness and awareness is necessary to recognizing that there is a problem. When a person sees themselves in the same frustrating or dissatisfying situation, they need to take notice. A great metaphor for denial is clumsy people. Clumsy people don't watch where they are going, don't look where they are walking, step on something, trip and fall, and/or bump into things.

Oftentimes there is a relationship dynamic that is the problem, not any one person in the relationship. In order to resolve the problem, we need all members involved in the faulty dynamic to come to therapy to resolve the issue. In cases involving use of deadly force, there is often specialized information that needs to be conveyed to the jury. Without this specialized information the jury may render an erroneous verdict. My credentials in the judicious use of deadly force allow me to convey this information to a jury in a way that they can comprehend and then use as part of their deliberations.

What a wonderful place to find help and information for your wellness and mental health. The office is full of professional and caring people from the front desk staff to all the qualified therapists on staff. I have been with them for almost 2 years and find it to be a terrific place to turn my life around, have a better and more positive outlook along with issues I deal with. My children 15, 11 and 8 have also been seen and find it helpful as well. I would highly recommend CBT in Commack to all who are looking for a new approach to their wellness.
