DO NOT STAY HERE EVER!!!!! Bed bugs in bed. Told desk, they could care less. Didn’t check room, wouldn’t give us a refund, we were in the room for less than 30 minutes. Left at midnight with a three year old to find another place to stay. Manager was a desk clerk who said management wasn’t available until telling others there were bed bugs, then they called police because we were warning other people to check their rooms. Reported to health department & BBB. Save your aggravation and stay somewhere else!!!

DO NOT BOTHER!!!! Do yourself a huge favor by saving time and money and find somewhere else. First of all, the room literally wreaks of mold and mildew. Dirty sheets, dirty microwave, the fridge leaks all over the floor, stained chairs, no toilet paper holder, toilet seat doesn’t even fit the toilet, spider webs visible, dust all over the furniture, especially on the cable box. And let’s talk about safety while we’re at it. The door frame to the room was damaged, splintered wood and nails protruding. You can EASILY push the door in while it’s locked. The fire alarm seems to just be a decoration

Do yourself a favor and DO NOT book here. I never write reviews but after my experience with this location I have to. I was traveling solo 8/11-8/13 and needed a room to stay. I booked here since it was inexpensive and not far from the attractions I wanted to check out. Not even 5 minutes in my room random men knocked on my door (now mind you my room was at the very end so NO reason for anyone to be hanging out there let alone knock) I packed my stuff back up as I felt really unsafe. Bed bugs!! I wanted to speak manager to get a refund. Lady at front desk said the manager will call me. At this point I’m very frustrated I just want my money back and they don’t want to give it to me. The lady calls cops to have me removed from property. Upon arrival the police talked to same woman I was now claiming she’s the manager.

This place is mold ridden.. on ceilings, in bathroom, smells like in the AC, too.
It’s dirty, like caked dirt and sticky surfaces. No fitted sheet. Bed covers not clean. Ceiling peeling, tub cracked, toilet seat doesn’t fit toilet, no TP holder... I could go on.

The toilet is too small. The toilet is loose. NOT the toilet seat but the entire toilet is loose like it’s ready to rip off the floor. The floors were grainy as if there was still sand in there and the bed felt like it had grains of sand. The bed is very uncomfortable and has loud squeaks with the littlest movement. The side tables, desk and chest surfaces are really sticky. It smells like weed everywhere on the property. Definitely not booking here again. I guess you get what you paid for… this taught me that I’d rather spend a little more for a couple nights to have a better room elsewhere

Ok,where to begin 1st off something as basic as wifi doesn't work,no matter how much I complained to front desk they couldn't get it working,room is what it is basic room nothing fancy not even nice just a place to sleep,most tv channels didn't work and staff seems lost as to how to help you with any issues,place is what it is a cheap hotel,avoid at all cost.if I could give no stars I would.Update I thought this place couldn't get any worse but basic stuff like soap,shampoo,etc are luxurious items at the coastal inn we had to go buy these basic items because coastal inn does

Not sure why this place has gotten so many horrible reviews. I've stayed at a lot of cheap motels in OC and so far this is the best I've stayed at. My room was extremely clean, definitely small, but for the price (under 500 for 5 nights) all I ask for is clean lol. Good cable with a lot of channels and the pool was large and great for the days I didn't feel like walking down to the beach.
The service was wonderful as well, happy smiling faces always willing to help. I'll be back here next year for sure.

Booked this hotel for one night stay on the 4th of July.
The place is a s$it hole and that's being really nice!
The check in process is about as good as the establishment, itself. The ladies that checked us in were kind of snooty and judgy but then nice after they realized I had a reservation. They were fumbling around each other trying to check me in, the couple prior to me had to come back down because they were never given keys to their room? Kind of an odd thing to forget to give a customer at a motel??? The motel outside was VERY run down and in desperate need of updating. Every thing

I booked this room from Booking.com which told me our room included things such as a shower, telephone, AC, radio, refrigerator, sitting area, toilet, microwave, patio, bathroom, extra long beds, heating, satellite channels, cable channels, carpeted, alarm clock and a pool view. There was no telephone, radio, patio, alarm clock or pool view. The worst part of my experience was when I went to get into the bed. There were no fitted sheets or a mattress cover. I just created an account on here just so I could write a review about this place. I booked with them on booking.com 13 hours ago. My friend read a review on here about bed bugs so I cancelled. They are STILL charging me for the full price of the room due to their cancellation policy. I didn't even book it a full 24 hours ago. I am infuriated. Terribly and poor run establishment. Please never give them any of your money or time.

If I hadn't paid $189 per night for the room I might be a little more forgiving but this place is the pits! I feel a little better about our room after reading the reviews with rat droppings and mold. The towel rack in the bathroom was covered with rust, the beds only had a sheet and very gross old bedspread, and the doors don't have any kind of internal lock. Lots of people hanging in the halls and stairwells. Just kind of creepy. I won't stay here again.

First off, echoing the many other reviews, "you get what you pay for". My family stayed here in room 102 for just one night and it came to $115 total (I received an online discount from Priceline). Being that it's only two short blocks away from the beach that in itself is great.
Upon arrival, the front desk staff was very friendly and clearly it's a family run business as there was a cute little toddler running around behind the front desk.

Where do I start? Hole punched through the bathroom door, room smelled like mildew, rat droppings all throughout the room, and mold literally... everywhere! Mold on the lamp shades, on the carpet, the floor boards and IN the refrigerator! Went and asked for a refund for the weekend we paid for and was told they give ABSOLUTELY no refunds! This is completely unacceptable... A room that isn't fit to be a kennel and we are still expected to pay for it despite the fact that we only "occupied" the room for about 5 minutes before we returned to the front desk and asked

Okay. I'm going to offer a different perspective on the Coastal Inn that the other two reviews may not have. You may or may not disagree, but what it boils down to is this: my boyfriend and I thought this place was just fine.
No, it's not on par with a Hilton or a Holiday Inn. If you expect service on that level, you will be mightily disappointed. What the Coastal Inn IS, however, is a small functional place to stay while in Ocean City.
We were assigned #213 over the Memorial Day weekend - it overlooks the pool, which was very clean and well-maintained. The room was very nice
