Kula is a word in Sanskrit (an ancient language from India, it looks likes this -> ) that can be translated to mean tribe, community, or family. We're a relaxed, people-centered yoga center in Glendale, with classes and events for any body 7 days a week. Our mission is to be a comfortable and encouraging environment for any body to feel welcome, included, capable, and challenged.
We provide opportunities to hang out with other cool, like-minded people, grow in wellness in body + mind + spirit, and spread peace to that crazy world out there. We have a roomy hang out area, two large restrooms, a small retail shop, and two yoga rooms in a fresh and comfortable space. Gather up your comfiest yoga clothes and all your yoga props to pause before the hustle of the holiday season.

As a stressed out, overworked, underpaid teacher, I found yoga to be a way to cope. If I got my yoga in, I was able to make it through the week with more energy, halfway sane, and a little more patient. I was able to sacrifice a small amount of time and still get sweating, challenge my balance, work my flexibility, and get my bliss on.
Sometimes our classes fill up, so it's helpful if you pre-register in Mindbody to save your spot. You're welcome to pay in the studio or if you'd rather from home, head over to our Pricing Page. New around here? Head over to our I'm new page! Please note: Out of respect for the teacher and relaxing yogis, we are not able to let latecomers into class.
Down dog is my favorite pose to teach because it's a full-body workout and resting pose, all in on one. There are also countless modifications to ease or advance the pose. My favorite pose to teach is Vrikshasana - Tree Pose because everyone needs to find a stable deeply rooted tree to take refuge during life's ups and downs.
I love Kula Yoga. The studio was recommended by my hiking friends; I gave it a try and fell in love. It's such a comfort to know I can come and relax after a hectic day or start off my day with calming energy. I convinced my husband to attend a class with me and he's now a member as well as our teenage daughter.

I got a Groupon to try this place and it was really great! Everyone was very kind and welcoming; I feel like the employees and members went out of their way to make new people feel at ease. I was recommended to attend beginner sessions but near the end of my trial went to an intermediate one and quite enjoyed it. They provided modifications for any stretches or poses I wasn't ready for. Aside from the cost (this teacher can't afford the regular price), my only complaints were that weekend classes aren't very abundant and I wish there were more non-soul classes.

I finally gave myself the gift of regular yoga only about 5-6 weeks ago and I’m never turning back! This place is more than yoga. It’s discovering yourself and all of your layers through your mind, body and spirit and truly is a wonderful and loving community.
I love the variety of classes and the incredible knowledge and kindness of the instructors. This place is for yogis of any level. There are modifications given both for those who are more and less capable and all are encouraged to work at their own personal level. This is so refreshing because it’s the only true way one can feel good

I was so hesitant and nervous to try yoga due to prior injuries but this studio made me feel so welcome and capable. The owner is welcoming and friendly, as are the other yogis who practice here, and the space is clean and cozy. I’ve been coming since February and have brought many friends and family members with me, several of whom continue to practice here because they’ve had the same experience I have!

Right on the door it says "community". That's exactly what Kula Yoga is! The yoga is great, the teachers are awesome, the variety of classes is diverse and the community is amazing! I have many favorite classes but my current is Ashtanga with Linda on Wednesday nights. Learning my body and working with it while deeply making necessary adjustments in a therapeutic manner has been incredibly and immediately beneficial! The deep conversations I've had with people have filled my being with such joy and connecting with such a cool diverse crowd has completely enriched my life and

Man, we have a treasure in North Phoenix! Our community is blessed with KULA! I absolutely love this place. You go in and feel like you are with friends instantly. Every time I go I kick myself for not going more. It's low pressure, welcoming, well stocked with yoga tools, and the instructors are excellent. I find going to be excellent for my body and soul. The instructors are inviting to your spiritual journey and emphasize the spiritual needs to be truly healthy. They have a strong knowledge base on making your routine personal and useful to you. Adaptations are encouraged and suggested

Kula Yoga studio in Glendale is one of the best studios I've been to here in the valley. Cozy lobby, friendly front desk staff, and the 2 studio rooms are modern and clean. Instructors are knowledgeable, inviting, and talented. Shoutout to Terri and Sayuri for their stellar instruction. Laid-back, friendly atmosphere and 5-star Yoga!

I have been attending this location for the past month under another name, Yoga for the Soul, It was purchased by one of the instructors due to the retirement of the previous owner. I was told that there will be some changes made but for the most part the classes and philosophy will remain the same. I was very happy to hear because the classes are Christ centered and have a very strong spiritual influence, the wife and I wish we would have found them alot sooner! I look forward to continuing my journey here.

I tried my first class here Monday and it was wonderful.
I have been resistant to exercise due to a pain issue that I was afraid to exacerbate, but decided to try "Yoga with a Chair" as a gentle entry. Chris's class was more active than I anticipated, but with the support (figurative & literal) of a chair for most of the poses. I felt comfortable despite having been sedentary for so long, and the energy from my classmates - who were all at different levels of "fitness" - was so welcoming & encouraging.
I also really appreciate that this studio will not choke you with overwhelming incense & essential
