I have worked with Dr. Termine for over ten years, and he is easily one of the most caring and empathetic doctors I have ever encountered. He has helped me navigate several major life events over the years, and in my opinion, he has set the bar for providing compassionate, patient-centered, and personable care. After a bad experience with a previous doctor, Termine was like a breath of fresh air. Attentive, methodical, and without a hint of judgement, he genuinely wants to help you become your best self. I always feel listened to and as though my assessment of my own care matters as much as his. That said, he will tell you like it is when you need to hear it as well, but always with a considerate bedside manner. Highly recommended.

Life can be hard sometimes, and it's much easier when you have Dr. T in your corner. To anyone reading this, don't let a stupid review by a frustrated patient, who was not able to abide by a very clear policy give you pause about working with one of New York City's best doctors.
Dr. Anthony Termine is a consummate professional who is insightful, caring, compassionate and extremely intelligent. Dr. Termine changed my life. I've been seeing him for 8 years for management of a chronic condition, and before I was his patient I did not think it was possible for things to be any different than they were with my mental health. I thought I was just "stuck" with how things had been. He is very empathetic, and kind, and most importantly, he offers perspective on the whole of my well-being, not just the condition he treats me for. I would entrust my closest confidant to his care.

As a long-standing patient, I feel he has gotten to know me as an individual, and his care is detail-oriented and insightful. Dr. Termine is a great psychiatrist.
Before finding him, I saw many providers, but never felt like I was making much progress. Then I met Dr. T and finally started to feel better, which I think has a lot to do with the thoroughness of his care.
He goes above and beyond for his patients. I have recommended him to family and friends, which says a lot!

I wish I could write a review with zero stars. Interesting to finally see what others say about him and his overcharging and unhelpful staff. I saw this doctor for more than five years and after a dispute with the "other Anthony" at the front desk regarding being overcharged I was not only asked to never return (and given no referral when I asked for a new doctor) but my emails and calls regarding all the money I was owed were left unanswered. Time for someone to report this man for the fraud that he is.

Dr Termine isn't anything more than a doctor who refills your pharmaceuticals. You'd think someone in the mental health field would care about mental health, but don't expect that. This office is closer to a drug dealer. He isn't interested in talking or learning about the patient. He gives you at most 20 minutes, gives you drugs, and... well, that's it.
Dr Termine uses a bunch of forms to figure out what's going on in your life, but if he decides you're too much of a hassle he won't even bother to see you or refer you elsewhere. Forms that took an hour

My husband had same experience as Jayson M. Spends 10 minutes doing "medication management", overcharged us repeatedly for copay (which I now have to appeal to get $ back), and charges insurance company $440 for a 45 min. appointment. The office staff does not answer the phone, you can only leave a message, and it rarely gets returned. I find it so strange that some call him empathetic. My husband found him dismissive, and sometimes rude. He finally found another in-network psychiatrist. I met him with once, with my husband, for a "double" 20 minute session, and completely agree

Dr. Termine is the psychiatrist of a loved one and he is the most empathetic MD I've ever come across. My son was diagnosed with psychiatric illnesses 10 years ago and he went through so many psychiatrists because he was not happy with them. I am a new patient of Dr. Termine. ( I have been seeing Dr. Termine for about 6 months now). I wanted to express how truly amazing I think he is.
