The Evidence Based Treatment Centers of Seattle (EBTCS) is a network of four specialty mental health centers united by a central mission: to deliver state-of-the-art, evidence-based psychological treatment with genuine compassion and care.
We believe it is our responsibility to stay up-to-date with current research and advances in our field so that when people entrust us with their care, we can confidently say that we are providing treatments that have the best science behind them.We also believe that people learn and grow best when they are in an environment of genuine compassion and support.

Services
EBTCS started in 2002 as a dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) center (the DBT Center of Seattle). Its mission was to provide comprehensive adult and adolescent DBT to individuals and families in Seattle and the surrounding area. The DBT Center of Seattle added a focus on training young professionals in 2003, when it accepted the center's first postdoctoral fellows.
Our providers are all hired because they come to EBTCS with graduate and/or postgraduate specialist training in DBT. Once at EBTCS, they receive further specialist training including at least one year of supervision by experts in DBT.
Additionally, our DBT therapists receive extensive training in other evidence-based treatments that may be implemented within DBT, including treatments for depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and many others. All of our providers attend regular, ongoing trainings to stay up-to-date on the latest developments in evidence-based care.

Welcome to the Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Center at EBTCS! Since 2002, we have provided comprehensive DBT and related services. DBT is considered the most researched, best supported treatment for borderline personality disorder (BPD). However, research clearly shows that DBT is not just for BPD; it is effective in treating anyone with problems regulating intense emotions.
A single "round" of DBT takes six months to complete, and many people find completing a second round helps consolidate their learning. The length of treatment will be discussed with you when we meet you, and can be adjusted at any time depending on your progress. Individual therapy (typically on a weekly basis) that targets multiple problems with effective treatments within the DBT structure.

This clinic is amazing. My son has blossomed and even referred to his anxiety and depression in past tense. They support the parents and the child. It is expensive and time consuming but if you want your child to be themselves again this is the place and is an excellent value. From the front office staff to every doctor and director they have very literally changed our lives. They worked with our insurance and we were able to get most of the cost covered. They are out of network but you can still get benefit coverage just requires a bit more work.
