Butchers & Bakers
Butchers & Bakers is the twelfth restaurant venture from the Locals 8 Restaurant Group. Located in The Exchange in Farmington, CT, the restaurant houses twin coal-fired ovens, three full bars, and one of central Connecticut's largest outdoor patios. The building, like our menu, combines warm elements with a fresh, farmhouse atmosphere.

Our inviting space is perfect for sharing small plates with a table of friends or relaxing with a drink or pitcher of Sangria on the patio. For us, it's about transforming simple, authentic ingredients into unpretentious food with a rustic sensibility. We think great ingredients make great food and we think you'll agree.

Unimpressed. Slow service. Took over an hour and a half to get our food. Chicken was dry and chewy. No flavor. Cinnamon roll was massive, also sweet. Think they forgot to include the cinnamon. Sausage patties were dry enough you might confuse them with jerky.

My wife and I visited for dinner last night. Pork chop was very good, a bit overcooked but delicious nonetheless. My wife's beer battered cod was excellent. Started with the fennel sausage stuffed mushrooms which we would definitely order again.

Very well managed. At a time when most restaurants are having difficulty even finding staff, never mind competent staff, the service was perfect, despite being quite busy. Our waiter Keith was outstanding. The hostess was pitching in, bussing add setting up tables with a smile and the manager was on the floor ensuring all was going well. Really

We went here on a Sunday for brunch. First let me say that the food is excellent! The flavors are amazing. Compliments to the Chef! Although, I wish the gluten free pizza crust was better. It was dry and hard. The service leaves a lot to be desired. First, the hostess was unfriendly. Our server Kayleigh didn’t give us the specials menu. We heard her give the couple next to us the specials option. She didn’t check to see if we needed anything during the meal. This is the second time we’ve been and had bad service. The music was loud and made us feel as though we were in a dance club. Unfortunately

I have always loved this place. Numerous times I have had the chopped salad. Well it was not chopped and loaded with wet iceberg lettuce. Not sure why any restaurant uses iceberg, they should have used romaine. I really never remember it being iceberg but again it had also chopped. The farmhouse farro was very good with a little too much tomato sauce. Sarah was an excellent bartender, very tentative

I understand staffing is difficult. Well not really... if you can't hire good help don't hire subpar people or just limit your intake of guests. Bartender here is horrible. Super slow, frustrated, lost and to top it off rude. The restructure for this location is abysmal.
"We would like Tomato sauce on our pizza not sliced tomatoes".... "Im native American I don't eat pizza"(bartender) maybe it was a joke.. I'm not laughing as I'm here waiting for my cocktail which has been empty for 15min. Get this guy a cannabis card, because he needs to chill out

Always love coming here as they have both an indoor and outdoor space (great atmosphere). This place is rather large and never disappoints with the food. Really enjoyed the breakfast- I had the breakfast sandwich and it was delicious.

Something that's important to me as a bald dude who eats out every single day is knowing that the places that I go to regularly are constantly creating new exciting dishes for me to try. That's always the case when I go to @butchersandbakers

Chef Kevin loves to create flavorful new plates that taste as delicious as they look so when @isabellesplate and I popped in for brunch Saturday morning we were in for a treat. Every week here they have a special eggs benedict of the week so you will always be able to try something new. This week's was a smoked turkey with chopped bacon

The atmosphere is incredible and the food is even better. I have never had a bad meal here. Their take on an Old Fashion tastes great, too

The vibe at butchers and bakers, especially for brunch is awesome. First, they offer bottomless mimosas or bellinis which is a perfect start to brunch! I opted for a cappuccino the day we went, but certainly will take advantage of bottomless mimosas next time!

I will start by saying we were there with a large group and the staff was super accommodating, friendly, and efficient!

We started off with a churro pretzel and poutine. CHURRO PRETZEL--don't come here without getting this savory but sweet masterpiece, I loved it! It comes with a chocolate dipping sauce and a frosting type dipping

"I need a love to keep me happy,

(Richards & Jagger)

"Happy Hour"

It gives ya such a warm "happy' feeling to say it, doesn't it?

Now all Happy Hours are not created equal. Some barely give you a reason to smile, say if a single beer is reduced from $8 to $6. That don't impress me much.

Some may result in a slightly bigger smile, say if several beers and wines are reduced, but HH doesn't extend to a morsel of food.

But some Happy Hours will make you sing with joy and dance a jig if they include

If you are into sitting outside in front of a warm open fire pit table, enjoying a great Brunch Menu on a beautiful fall Sunday with LIVE music, bottomless Mimosas and Bellinis, then you definitely should check out Butchers and BAKERS on a SUNDAY and soon!!
Our family celebrated my Mom's birthday there this past Sunday. It was a great day. Jillian was awesome. She made sure she kept our glasses filled and checked in with us to see how we were enjoying ourselves. I'm looking forward to another visit for brunch soon!

This is a good spot for brunch. It's a fun, upbeat atmosphere with a solid menu sure to please all palates. My negatives from this spot are it's a little pricey and they refused to let us outside on a beautiful fall day because there was rain forecasted for that evening (our reservation was for 11am). Definitely odd but I'd be back for brunch. Based on what I've heard, lunch & dinner is decent but nothing special. They were out of some food & drink items which is interesting since it was so early in the day. Not that big of a deal but hoping my next trip goes a little

Great atmosphere, middling food.
Had the Butcher Omelette and the Eggs Benedict on Country Fried Chicken. Everything was cooked fairly correctly, the breakfast potatoes were soft and the eggs Benedict were perfectly runny. The CFC was a bit on the dry side, but had a good crunch and the runny eggs married perfectly.
However, all of the food was fairly underseasoned. Even the sausage and bacon, when pulled out of the omelette, lacked salt content.
Got the churro pretzel for dessert. It's a thin Bavarian pretzel in cinnamon sugar. Not quite a dessert pretzel, but not quite savory, either. Didn

On a work trip and I’m happy this place exists. Great drinks, fun environment, friendly bartenders. The food is great and so are the drinks. I recommend steaks and their old fashioned. Wish more places made their old fashioned this way.

One thing to know about me is I LOVE breakfast/brunch and I'm all about savory breakfasts and B&B has that going on, big time. Father's Day 2021 was my second time hitting up this spot for brunch and it was delicious. Our peppy waitress Sara had that perfect mix of sweetness, flirty with my father in-law but not too flirty, just enough to make him smile and not ruffle the feathers of my mother in-law. Our party of 5 had a 1pm reservation which probably is not generally required but being Father's Day, we had to lock in a time. We were seated promptly and used our phones to

I randomly ordered from here because I was craving deviled eggs (turned out they were sold out after I placed my order). I ended up ordering: "Our Famous Meatballs", Butcher's Chopped Salad, The O&G Pizza, The Steak N' Cheese Grinder and the Mac Carbonara.

My boyfriend really liked the meatballs, but some some reason I wasn't that into them. The chopped salad was so good!! It was so delicious I tried to recreate it during the week. I love artichokes in salad! The cheese steak was really good too and I would reorder it. My favorite item was the O&G Pizza,

My partner and I LOVE Butchers and Bakers for brunch so it was a given we tried it for dinner!

The sausage stuffed mushrooms were IMPECCABLE. We so very much wanted to lick the plate because of how delicious the sauce was. This is a must have and we will be back to order this again!

I ordered the Butchers Board and was very pleased with the amount of food and what was on it! My chicken was raw, but this was quickly fixed in no time! Delicious meal and super filling. This could've easily fed two to three people!

They were so sweet to give us a dessert on the house due to the chicken incident

I've been wanting to come here for years and finally did on my birthday with some friends recently. I was so excited to get patio seating because I've seen pictures online from friends who have been here and it looked so cute! And rightly so! Our table was situated around an enclosed fire place which was so neat and really made for a perfect dinner ambiance.

Our server was super friendly and accommodating! I enjoyed our drinks and apps- the meatball app was the best!

Entrees were good- we got pizzas, philly cheese sandwiches, chicken cut sandwich and cheeseburgers. I wouldn't

Butchers & Bakers is so well known for their incredible brunch, but have you been for dinner? Spoiler alert: it's just as awesome. Located in Farmington, CT with vaulted ceilings and plenty of outdoor seating, B&B is the perfect spot for brunch or dinner! We came here for date night on Saturday and absolutely loved everything

We started with some wine and their Ginger Spice cocktail, super bourbony and limey, and their burnt ends poutine. I got their OG pizza that was chock full of caramelized onions, roasted garlic, soubise (which is a thick onion béchamel sauce) and I added

We landed at Butchers and Bakers for their pajama brunch on New Year's. One thing about this place is it's very fun! Always a festive atmosphere and always very lively. Today, with no exception.
I had the breakfast pizza. The waitress recommended it and she said it was her favorite. It didn't disappoint! It had eggs cheese home fries and veggies it was cooked to perfection. My son had a lumberjack breakfast which was a little of everything to pancakes eggs sausage and bacon. The sausage is specifically made for this restaurant and is so good.
The staff aren't good a kit wearing

I highly recommend Butchers & Bakers for brunch. There is a bottomless drink option that includes mimosas, rum punch, whiskey smash and bellinis. The food never disappoints and always packed with flavor. The meatballs were the highlight dish. Perfectly seasoned and juicy accompanied by ricotta cheese. I suggest ordering the meatballs for the table.
