ProSpect Home Diagnostics is dedicated to providing our clients with the vital information they need about the home they are interested in purchasing or selling. After 8 years as a city building inspector it became clear to me that home buyers and home owners simply were not the priority. I felt very strongly that they needed to be the #1 priority, ALWAYS.
AGE - Inspection of homes 50 years and older involves knowledge and experience many inspectors are lacking. We have knowledge of best building practices in effect dating back to the adoption of the first Uniform Building Code in 1927 and have inspected many homes and properties pre-dating that code.
The process can be stressful. A home inspection is supposed to give you peace of mind but often has the opposite effect. You will be asked to absorb a lot of information in a short time. This often includes a written report, a checklist, photographs, environmental reports, and what the inspector himself says during the inspection.

Stacey was the best inspector we have ever worked with. We were buying our house while being out of state and we couldn’t of done it without his detailed report and consultation on every aspect of the property. Not only was his report incredibly helpful but he was so generous with his time walking us through each report finding by phone. His experience as an engineer really shined through. His deep knowledge about building construction and codes helped us understand our new area and helped us know proper maintenance and care. Most of all he was willing to give us an honest opinion on the quality
