A Better Home Inspection was established in 1988 by Ray Forster and is now run by his grandson, Danny. It has always been our goal to create the best experience we can for our clients, by not only providing them with superior service, but also informing them on crucial aspects of the home which they are looking to purchase.
This is a typical home inspection that looks for common defects in the home, so you understand the investment you're making. Danny handled our inspection beautifully. This was our first inspection, and we were very nervous: CA homebuying is no joke! He was thorough, careful, and detail-oriented -- all the things you want in your inspector -- and then took the time to walk me through all of the findings in detail. He answered all of my questions thoroughly and clearly, laying out his answers accessibly but without talking down. He took extra time to engage with my teenager and pre-teen, too -- a little extra kindness that they both really appreciated. I'd give more stars if I could!

Sam showed up a little early and started off explaining the process. He answered all of my questions throughout and was very professional. He was very detailed oriented and knowledgeable about all elements of the building. On a side note he had really good quality equipment/tools and was very organized which just expressed he meant business. The report was presented on a tablet with high quality photos and sent via email right after the inspection. This was the type of experience that provides the confidence you want when buying a home.

The process was very efficient from the initial communication up to reviewing the report in-person with us. The format of the report was easy to follow and understand. The visual images added value for additional feedback regarding the observations. The personal interaction made us feel they really valued us as their client. We have used this company twice now for inspection of two different possible home purchases. Both times they were very accommodating to our timeframe needs, knowledgeable and thorough in their assessments. They explained everything really well to us.
