I established Silver Lake Pilates & Movement in 2018 with two decades of teaching experience and a lifetime of dance and Pilates experience. My mission was to create a space to educate people to help them reach their maximum physical potential using a variety of movement techniques and theories. Form following function applies to bodies as well as architecture, and functional fitness looks different for every body.

I design workouts around what your body specifically needs to function at its very best. Sessions will be composed of classical and contemporary Pilates, yoga, calisthenics, structural integration, free weights and a dash of aerial arts (inversions are good for most of us!) I welcome folks of all shapes, sizes, fitness levels, ages, genders and races and have extensive experience working with pre-existing illness, chronic conditions and injuries.
Services
My desire to move began right away: before I turned one, I was not only walking but climbing onto the kitchen counter to practice my newly developed skills. I was enrolled into ballet classes when I was 5 and it became clear I had a natural talent for it. When I was 15, my mom put me in an Independent Study program for high school so I could get my GED and make ballet my profession.
I require all new clients to buy a three-session intro pack. That allows you to be sure you like my style of teaching and that I will be an effective teacher for you. It also lets me assess where you're at physically and figure out what you need to reach your fitness goals. After completing the intro pack, you may continue taking private sessions or take a duet session with a friend who has also completed the intro pack.

This has been my first time trying pilates and Sara made it very accessible and focused on what I wanted to get out of it.
